Welp, 1st night in the new home last night: [cheers] Shew. Closed yesterday on the purchase, Monday on the sale.

Walked out yesterday evening to the green that's 10' from our yard w/ a Yeti of Bourbon & a jambox and chipped & putted for an hour. Can see a lot of that in my future, may just get the game back at some point. Not many more beautiful or relaxing places than back 'in the middle' of an empty golf course as the sun is setting.
What course are you on?

Rodney Dent was a 2nd Round NBA draft pick (31st overall). [laughing]

The only reason that idiot doesn't remember him is because was like 2 years old when Dent played here. See, this is what happens when Jones leaves KSR completely unattended and allows it to be run by ignorant children.

To be fair to the ignorant children, Jones also can't really go into much detail about UK Basketball prior to the Tubby era.

GYERO are UK basketball snobs who love nothing better than looking down our noses and sneering at those who know less than us. It's what makes this place great.

I'm sure the KSR audience of chick fans and other casuals would love and learn a little something from Shitbag's piece.

I think it was BTI that did a "where are they now" bit recently, and it was something like this....

Nazr Mohammed = played for Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016
Jamal Murray = drafted #7 overall this year
Matt Heissenbuttel = per Linkedin, is employed and living in Lexington
Jared Prickett = left a message to call back, but he didn't respond
Jason Lathrem = not sure
Heshimu Evans = Wikipedia page hasn't been updated in 2 years, but he was playing basketball professionally at some point
Oliver Simmons = posted some vacation pics on Facebook in July
John Wall = plays for the Washington Wizards
Van Hiles = oops, my bad. He actually played football.
John Stewart = whereabouts unknown, and Myspace page has not been updated lately. Top 5 friends do include Ramon Harris, and he is a UK lean.
Josh Carrier = great shooter. Still plays at KBA with Brandon Stockton.

I actually enjoy the "Where are they now" stuff, particularly which guys are playing overseas, and where. Crazy how hard that information is to actually find sometimes, and which guys will pop up now and then in some nugget when I'd assumed they'd been out of hoops for years.

Like, Erik Daniels is (apparently) playing for Quimsa in Argentina, and has been since 2014 when he left Ukraine.

Andre Riddick was playing in Belgium as recent as 2011. o_O

Good little (and recent) read on the Rejecter, including his thoughts on the UNC game: http://www.aseaofblue.com/2016/7/6/12104718/andre-riddick-father-legend-friend

Get to work on a Comprehensive list like that Slice, and I'll give it read. Extra bonus for salary/contract information.

The sound of silence from the SF crowd was magical. Cubs arguably got outplayed in the series for the most part- but a little luck in the playoffs doesnt hurt. Relying on pitchers and a 40 year old catcher to knock in runs, Cueto making literally one mistake, SF making untimely errors... then in the 9th last night the Zobrist double was probably the only hard hit ball. The rest were ground balls finding soft spots and a terrible bunt by Heyward that worked out. It's whatever. Holding off on travel plans until they hopefully win one more series...

y'all dogpiling Slice is always hilarious. Got a recent podcast to link on here for everyone to rage touch about all this afternoon?

so if the NFL ratings are down due to the election/Trump (per ESPN echo chamber), why is college football ratings up? surely to god it isnt because one product is getting better & more entertaining year after year while the other becomes more unwatchable. nah, people have never cared or followed politics on a Saturday, that has always been a Sunday thing....

if Potsy Mitchell weren't tone deaf, his very very VERY brief appearance Fri night will be no dancing/singing & just a stoic promise to the BBN to cut the crap & coach a program they will be proud of. Which means there is a zero percent chance it happens, he comes out dressed like Ken Bone & dabbing for 20 minutes.

Stupid hypothetical for all the lifelong diehard Cubs fans in gyero: The Cubs win the World Series this fall or Kentucky wins number 9 in April 2017. You can only take one. Go.

I love the Cubs, but that is a ridiculous question. I'd be fine with the Cubs going without a World Series win for an additional 25 years if it meant #9. Dumbass.

FRIDAY NIGHT -

A bevy of former players stroll onto the Rupp Arena floor and relish the applause of the crowd. All of the sudden, there's a record scratch followed by the sounds of DMX barking playing on loop. The crowd goes ballistic as Dawg Carruth runs onto the court with a pack of rottweilers and announces that he has one year of eligibility left. He rips off his prison orange garb to reveal a #2 UK jersey underneath. One of the rottweilers attacks Matt Mitchell and tears off his parachute pants. The crowd storms the floor and BBM is cancelled but no one cares. The Prodigal Dawg has returned.

Does anyone here in their mid-late 30's actually consider themselves a Millennial? I know there's about a half dozen ways to define that generation and some go back as far as the late 70's, but I certainly do not identify as one as a child of 1981. And yes, I have read the article about the lost/mini generation people our age supposedly fall into Joey, so no need to link it.

I'm a child of 1981 as well, and find the whole "generation" thing confusing and stupid. So because of when I was born it defines what I'm expecting out of work and home life and my work ethic and other stupid ****? Is that what its supposed to represent? Might as well be talking about the zodiac signs for all I care. I guess I see what they mean with the older generations because they voted for certain policies that are in place, or something. I don't really get it tbh.

Adrian, next time you move into your forever home please do so with a kid(s), in the middle of the school year, while your wife makes 3-4x less than your annual income and I think you'll get some more empathy around here.

Place looks dope otherwise, doggy. Can't wait to enjoy.

Surely this is their last President. And I doubt she gets a second term. Of course it will probably just skip Gen X altogether (whatever) and move right to the Millennials.

Anth is definitely a millennial. imo

Try to synchronize those two life events if at all possible. The old men I know who did so seem to be the happiest bastards on the planet. TS.

No responsibilities. Passive income. Freedom. Empty house. Grown kids. Good work if you can get it IMO.

Not saying I'm planning to divorce at retirement, but there's clearly an argument to be made for it.

I see you were born in 1975, that means you work hard for what you want, are apathetic about politics, and value home life over work life. You also are very passionate and will butt heads with someone born in 1977. Someone born in 1976 will balance you out and bring out your qualities. You also like cats.

No you don't.
Where are they now?
BleedBlueCats21 = posting stupid **** on TCP.
I said it was a stupid hypothetical, and I would hope all my Wildcat friends would take #9 over their beloved Cubbies ([eyeroll]) getting a WS. But if anyone in here is actually a diehard Cubs fan, it would be an interesting question.

You Humana guys are mean.

The more I think about it, I would honestly give up a month's pay to see Dawg Carruth and a pack of rottweilers burst onto the court and make everyone else run for safety. F*** a mortgage payment.
