Innocence lost: UK Madness evolved from quaint novelty to planned mania

"Quaint" has never been the goal with Kentucky basketball. You start putting 5 guys a year in the league and going to the final four nearly every year (which, throw in a few more national titles, has always been the goal) and nothing we do is going to be able to be quaint. I'll take dragging our nuts across the nation during the season over Walter McCarty dressing up as Batman and rappelling from the ceiling before it.

- UK Football: Too Stupid to Salvage

- I mean yesterday was perfect sans the monkeys touching a football on the field. Weather, music, scenery ( :eyes::eyes::eyes:), the works really. Even had a solid day in the gambol.

- Keeneland today with the parents. Love a relaxing Sunday with the ponies.

- Could not have timed this trip away more perfectly; don't have to be in NE for the return of Jesus Christ Reincanrate, the Chosen One, Mr Tom Brady.

Toxic nonsense is forgiven if it leads to a serious "nobody believes in US but us, it's just this locker room vs the world!!!!!" attitude & wins against cow bells & mizzou

is the logic Houston losing hurts ul playoff chance, because that logic is stupid.

South Side of the stadium yesterday felt like the North Pole. North Side of the Stadium felt like Death Valley, CA.

Not sure dresses can get much shorter.

Snell is a stud and needs to be back 1 and 1a.

Johnson attempted 24 passes yesterday, but only threw for 49 yards. Yikes. o_O

Music upgrades in the stadium are fantastic. Felt like a big-time event.

Couldn't find the Hot Brown Nachos. Where dey?

I'll reserve judgment on Stoops' "toxic" statement till the end of the season. Agree, if it pumps the kids up, great. Just seems odd to throw out "toxic environment" when he could have been banging the drum about improvement, overcoming adversity, righting the ship....just get it done.

Really wish people would not tweet the players. Anything short of good job, great effort is just dumb. Saw some guy asking Barker when he was gonna play again, and to suck it up cause he's 38 yo and plays tackle football every week...smh.

I've come around on the coal whistle, I like it mixed with 80's metal.

Thanks to Sloot for the drip beef sambos. Those were amazeballs..

Day 1 of Keeneland for me today. Looks about perfect. Warrior's Club in the 4th.

I agree on the coal whistle. I like it.

States checkerboard is worse than ours and it's not close.

What did the juco recruit say on chaince that they had to block out?

73 sighting at the post game tailgate.

They were asking him about his playing style or something (wasn't listening too closely) and he said "well excuse my language but it's a f***ing mindset." Went over iheartradio loud and clear. Buerger: "nope. You can't say that on the radio."

Per my ESPN app: BREAKING NEWS Tom Brady throws his first touchdown pass of the season.

ESPN and the NFL can get pumped.

He did, you idiot. It was a 20 minute interview that covered all of those topics and more. Still up on ukathletics.com on video and via transcript if you care to go through it again.

There are 90 scouts on a dais, 4 cameras, and the A-level ESPN crew watching a bunch of jumpers while Calipari just holds court and sells.

Just awesome.

90 scouts for a practice?!?! In October?!?!! WOOOOOOW! We didn't even have an out of bounds play. We're in the business of changing people's lives, folks.

I hope Andy Katz is as quick to ask Pitino about whores as he was questioning Willis about his DUI. Weird for an announcer to ask a kid about off the court issues like he just did.

Have we discussed the shoddy new "collector cups" from Commonwealth? I've got some of those from the Rich Brooks era that still hold up and the one I got last night didn't even make it home before cracking.
