Have tried streaming wifi on the plane, hasn't been great. Maybe your experience will be better.

My plan for the Southern Miss game is to rent a car, drive to Ferrari in Marenello and Modena, maybe hit a Tuscan vineyard or two, and at some point check the score.

Wednesday Randos:

- Surprisingly, everyone I've ever talked to who has visited Pittsburgh loved the town.

- Enjoyed Jones' podcast with JD Vance. May have to read that book. Had this line playing in my head the entire time, "people had forgot about poor white trash and if that ain't country, I'll kiss your ***," which comes in a solid #3 on my all-time Coe power rankings behind "The Ride" and "You Never Even Called Me By My Name."

- Hate to admit it, but I really, really enjoy fantasy football. Makes Sundays a little more interesting, at least.

- First half of my life, I hated Labor Day weekend. Last half, it's my third or fourth favorite holiday. I am giddy. So, glad to get this summer over. It's been hot AF. There have been a million little annoying things that have gone wrong. Besides my trips, I've pretty much hated it.

- So, the lass's family is coming to town this weekend. Pretty excited to see them. Good thing her brother and dad love them some football. Grilling out and having a firepit out mom and dads Saturday night for the UK game.

- They also love them some nice restaurants so I always eat well around them. Anyone Cincinnati/NKYers been to Mita's yet? I've only grabbed a beer. Have heard good things.

Yep, Mita's is really good. Highly recommend. Make sure you call today for reservations, place is always booked.

Bringing goetta to another level on Saturday.

Wildcat Willy's Oktoberfest Zinzinnati balls. Everything good about German Catholic heritage minus Brooks rolled in a ball and deep fried.

Goetta, Sauerkraut, cream cheese, cheddar cheese. Flour, egg wash, bread crumbs. Dip in honey mustard. Profit.

Eh? Do what?

It and the Fourth of July are basically the greatest holidays. No family/religious ********. A day off in the summer. Carte blanche to be a bit irresponsible. What is there not to love at any age?

Going back to school in grade school and even high school sucked.

We usually started school a week or two before Labor Day, so it had the extra bonus of being the first No School Holiday of the year.

Love Labor Day.

So basically, disguising the stupid oat sausage w/ tons of other ingredients, cheeses, breading, and dips. Solid strategy, sounds like you're finally "getting it".

Yeah, I'd pretty much go crazy on that flight without the wifi. Why are you even thinking about this? o_O

Thinking about a weekend in Pittsburgh. Any recs? Obviously the Pirates/PNC Park. Anything else? Fallingwater worth the trip? Carnegie Museums? Restaurants? Seems like an underrated city.[/QUOT

Steeler game, hit the strip district early. Lots of cool markets.

* There ya go. This is what we're looking for. FINALLY, a cool, jealousy-inducing post.

* The idea of hating a holiday is just beyond my comprehension. I mean, what other days that you don't have to work does everyone else hate?

* Can we just all go ahead and confirm that Tim Tebow is a publicity whoring d-bag? Reporters are practically falling over themselves romanticizing his dream chasing baseball stunt. He is absolutely terrible.

* Oh, and Booker --> if your job doesn't allow you to sneak little charges like that onto your expense report, then you need to work harder. Chump.

-Won't hate on Labor Day. Means football season is starting, pennant races are heating up, and since temps are probably on their way down, FATS like me get excited to trade shorts and tees/polos for jeans and bulky sweaters.

-Can't knock Booker for questioning dropping $28 for wifi when I still haven't "splurged" on Netflix.

-Cal reaching out to the Weatherspoon kid....is that him hedging his bets with Young/Green? Or simply wanting to add a second quality PG for depth? I'm guessing the latter.

-Still not down with sriracha. Tried three recipes that include it and I'm just not a fan.

-Knocked out 8 of the 12 SEC Network team previews, and even though all the teams/names start running together at this point, one thing is clear....McFarland/Stoerner/Spears>>>>>>>>>>>>>>that loser Jordan from "The Bachelor". He's terrible.

Pitt campus is a cool spot to walk around, there is the part of the wall still standing where Mazeroski hit his walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in game 7 to beat the Yankees (which im always drawn to), and within 2 football fields is Carnegie museum of natural history where there is an unreal dinosaur display, kids would have a field day visiting.

Whenever i go to Pittsburgh, i also start my trip on a patio at the Grandview Tavern on Mt. Washington. Unreal view of the city. Id suggest grabbing a beer or lunch there.

If you eat at a Primanti's, id hit the one downtown in the strip district which was the original one, and just has an old time feel to it.

A ride down the Duquesne incline is pretty cool as well.

You could hit the Western Pennsylvania sports museum

And over near the new football stadium is the spot where Franco caught the immaculate reception.

Siracha isnt really something you need to add to a quality food item. Its really only necessary to disguise some terrible tasting ******** dish.

Jordan English? Was the Bobby Perry Band double booked?

I have a vision of Sturgill playing on opening game but ole Milquetoast could never pull that off. Probably never crossed his mind.

Thanks IB4 and Cawood. I go to St. Louis/Chicago/Detroit yearly. I've been to Cleveland too many times to count. Cincinnati, obviously. Nashville. Atlanta. Memphis. Basically everywhere within 5-6 hours of here. But never Pittsburgh. So Pittsburgh it is.

Pirates Game
Duquesne Incline/Mt. Washington
Strip District
Primanti Brothers and other cool Restaurants
Carnegie Museums
Pitt Campus/Forbes Field/Cathedral of Learning
Fallingwater Frank Lloyd Wright
Drive by Oakmont

Seems like a pretty fun weekend.

Stepped on the scale last night, and it read 165. I've generally been 185 the last few years. Started eating healthier and got down to a slim 175. And now I've lost another 10 since my race 2 weeks ago.

(not good)

While that race was epic, it took a *lot* out of me -- literally.

You mean to tell me running 100 miles at one time might cause someone to lose a bit of weight? This is pretty big news, maybe we should inform some medical researchers. The world needs to know.

I have the same problem as Ursh. I rarely weigh anything north of 174 pounds. I dipped down into the upper 160's this summer during my summer shredding diet. I was ripped but too skinny. Currently in at 175 and feeling good.

The snaps I get from dentist girl - mercy. Amazing I haven't caved yet and railed the ish out of her.

Louisville over the weekend for a casino night, flugtag, and fantasy draft. First casino visit in a few months. Usually stick with poker but decided to join the crew for BJ. 5 hours and 8 vodkas later I was smashed and somehow had money left in front of me. Flugtag is an interesting ordeal. Scenery was nice if anything and a group from Lexington won the whole thing.

Received a random phone call Saturday from a chick I waxed back in January during a pub crawl in Louisville. I had not spoken to her since said night of waxing. I figured maybe she saw me down at waterfront. False....She called because she received a text that a previous sexual partner has been tested positive for an STD. She actually legitimately thought one of her previous dudes she waxed sent this. I was last on the list of people to call apparently. Her current boyfriend is probably thrilled.

The fall is about to be a complete whirlwind. Concert, Keeneland, WILDCAT football, Jamaica, NY, Vegas. Sheww, leggo.
