Saw one of those recipe/DIY videos on Facebook for soap. Step 1 was literally "melt a bunch of soap".

Good job, idiots.

In response to Pti, I wear XXL shirts. I have since college, learn big shoulders-and yes it also accommodates my extra fuel pack.

I've been speaking a lot of German. Bust it out from the beginning with a waiter/hotel/service person. Has been been cracking the lass up.
#Passing for a European.

The bullfight. I agree completely with Dennis. It's something to see. Do I think it's cruel? Yes. But at the same time, the last bull tagged the matador and cut him up pretty bad. He did suck it up and kill the bull, much to the crowds pleasure. It takes some serious stones to step into the ring with 1000lbs of pissed off horns. Really makes you feel like your back in Ancient Rome, can't imagine what a gladiator fight was like.

Just crushed some Rioja and jámin ibérico. That **** is amazing.

I've offered to lay some serious cash on that wager, but per usual Anth has been a giant *****.

Par for the course.

LadyCat is a sneaky one-upper when it comes to travel...not sure even ukguy can match her total mileage.

Think your commute is bad try India or Singapore lol shew

Just surpassed 500k miles flown earlier this year (535k at the moment), so I would think LC and perhaps others in GYERO are well beyond that number. That being said, I'd assume my premium cabin experiences are probably ahead of most.

We hosted an exchange student from Spain for several months earlier this year, and their family sent us jamon on a couple of occasions. Stuff melts in your mouth.

Flew over on an Airbus 400. Didn't "experience" it myself, but the first class cabin looked sick. Got me thinking about the Delta reserve card.

Singapore actually isn't bad, particularly if you're on Singapore Airlines. Even in economy, it's still a decent experience. ;)

Seriously though, @ukguy78 has some awesome experiences. I've got a **** ton of miles but they've probably taken 10 years off my life with all of the reasons as to why I had to fly them, like escorting an employee back to their native country because they started showing signs of schizophrenia. That's a fun flight. Not.

I have well over a million miles on Delta. It got me a nice leather backpack and lifetime silver which means nothing. They still treat you like cattle. If you can ever achieve diamond, that's the place to be. They will kiss your rear like none other. Upgrade certificates, porsches to your next gate, etc.

Yout sure it wasn't an Airbus A380? Think that's the biggest commercial airliner made these days. First class on upper deck. 17 hours on that sucker from DFW to Sydney. Very tolerable even in economy.

Jared Carter managed to strike out in a softball game. Even Mags got a base hit with his golf swing.

...so they have a couple fairies out there to disorient the bull too? Does anyone even hunt fully oriented animals anymore?

Obviously it's a cultural thing but I just don't get the bloodlust. The bull didn't do anthing wrong and if anything everyone should be rooting for the bull to rip the matador apart.

Jacksonville peeps (@catlanta33 ?) - is there a UK alumni watch party happening for the Southern Miss game?

I'll be on Amelia Island for a wedding this coming weekend and wanted to know if we could get away and watch with some good folks.

TIA.

The one I know of is about 50 miles from Amelia Island at BBW at the Avenues Mall.

Edit: Just got told I'm going to be in St. Augustine for a ghost tour. So yeah, got wifed on that.

Carter was 0-2 and the last batter for his team when he struck out for a third time, but they decided it was a foul tip, and gave him one more pitch. He managed a single to the outfield and it may have been the biggest cheer of the night. No idea why he agreed to play knowing he was going to be that terrible. It really was painful to watch.

On the flip side, it's not really fair how good Karl Towns was. He almost hit a 12" softball completely out of the ballpark. It landed about halfway up the outfield bleachers in left. He won the HR Derby. If basketball doesn't work out for him, dude could probably go play for Shaun Ballard.

I guess it's a good thing that my wife isn't too familiar with Taco Bell.

On the other hand, she just called me for an explanation of my autocorrected text order, "anchors bell grande."

I really didn't want to go to the softball game and only went because my mom wanted to but it was honestly pretty entertaining, a lot better than the alumni game I went to.

Throw in some Rock N' Jock rules and they may be on to something.

It really was much better than the alumni basketball game. Watching some of the best players in the world play 'their' sport at about 10% effort leaves a lot to be desired. Get those same guys out of their element playing softball and throw in a few random "celebrities" plus former football players and it's a much more fun product.

Someone wanna just cut through the ******** and go ahead and post a box score or something? Let's just get this nonsense over with.

As one might expect with numerous world-class athletes, there were a number of great plays throughout the game. Also as one might expect with a number of non-softball players, the game featured a number of errors. Regardless of the score, however, a great time was had by all as Team Towns defeated Team Calipari 18-12.
