-Favorite weekend of the summer for me. My Member-Guest tourney starts today at 1. 3 days of golf, gambol, binge drinking, bands and great food. Then Sunday is both Father's Day and my birthday. Going to be feeling a little rough on Monday, for sure.

-I only know one guy that has fallen out of their car/truck blackout drunk and laid in the middle of one of the busiest streets in NKY 500 yards from the police station and his name rhymes with Macy Tershel.

-Refuse to talk politics with anyone because it does more harm than good and you will never change the other persons mind/ideas/values so keep it out of Gyero. Take Chad for example. Love the guy like a brother but if we talked politics we would end up hating each other because I think his opinions suck on the matter.

-Going with Zach Johnson to make some noise this weekend. He's straight, great iron player, very good putter.

-Rory struggling out of the gate. Cursed him.

-Shrimp with pasta last night, washed down with way too much Graeters.

-I think Willis will play a decent role on this team, because we'll see so much zone.

-Holly Sonders... shew.

-Summer evening thunder storm, love em. Can't get enough really.

Tony's delivered again last night. Ordered a medium rare 12 ounce New York Strip with a side of mac and cheese. Washed it down with two Blue Moons. Woof. Got to meet Tony himself. Seems like a nice fella and his restaurant is just crushing it. Place is packed every night of the week.

No touching clue which way to GAMBOL on the game tonight. I lean Cleveland but what an unpredictable last few games.

Half day of work tomorrow and then pool side for domestics and some good reading material.

Forty 57 pool seems to be the play right now in Lexington. 95% adults and they have a smaller pool for the kiddos. Music is always blaring, vibes are always good and plenty of scenery. That's my every Saturday in the summer. Sure the lake is fun, but it's nice polishing off about 9 beers, throwing some burgers on the grill and then being 2 minutes from my couch.

Summer weekends are just wodie. :eek:kay:

- Anyone see those pics of Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear's daughter? She got it from her mama. :flushed::fire:

- Weekend plans- drinking at the pool in my buddy's downtown apartment complex on Saturday...and that's about it. Can't wait.

- What happened to '08? I guess she's just posting on the Xavier boards now. Weak.

- Still remember waking in a hotel room in Frankfort and turning on SportsCenter and hearing about OJ Simpson's wife being murdered and that he was being questioned. Was the summer after my freshman year and we were playing in an AAU Tournament down there.

- Sonders looks remarkably like some porn star whose name I can't recall.

- Have to go to a damn couples baby shower next weekend. I just don't get it. What makes females think we want to be involved in this stupid ****? It absolutely pisses me off.

And I'm NOT being naive or hypocritical or anything else. I may end up having a damn couples wedding shower or baby shower at some point in my life for purposes of self preservation, but I PROMISE YOU it will occur under extreme duress and I will fight hard to keep my buddies from having to take part in such ********. I promise you that, friends.

Finished Season 3 of Peaky Blinders. Solid, not quite season 2 good though.

Started OJ Made in America. Wow, first episode was amazing.

Pretty much have put my foot down on baby showers. Sorry toots, I'll be on the golf course. Have fun with your besties.

Summer pool scene for a young single buck is king in Lexington. Granted, a day at the lake is glorious, but you pretty much gotta BYOP. Don't be surprised when a bro with a boat full of babes doesn't wanna be your friend when you and a bunch of guys roll up all sausage like. You gotta bring something to the table.

Replace the word 'shower' w/ 'party' and it's usually fine. Depends on the couple, I guess. A REAL shower can GFTO, but if it's a 'shower' designed to bring a gift or bottle and then party w/ a bunch of friends, then it's all good.

I have a line drawn, if it's not someone I know well or enjoy hanging out with, I'm not going -- my wife won't even ask me & just makes up some kind of excuse of why I will not be there. #blessed.

Forty 57 pool seems to be the play right now in Lexington.

Seriously? I visited there a couple summers ago when I moved back to Lexington and that was not the vibe I got, seemed like a bunch of families lived there.

Kind of surprising.

A properly planned couples "shower" is just fine. It's essentially a get together. Hell at bellydancers baby shower we all watched the UK/UF football game and drank beer. At Mattannas couples shower we ended up chugging and smashing champagne bottles at 3 am.

The transistion is awesome though. What is next? Move in together? Pet? Cooking lessons?

BTW, if you think of which porn star be sure to post that. TIA:)

Cooking lesson/date is actually pretty wodie, need to do that again.

I'm more out of the pornstar game than I've ever been...don't know any of the new/hot starlets. Rarely make it past the first HD 'Nubile Films' that catches my eye these days, that's some solid production right there.

Lela Star came to mind. Then I googled and discovered Lela bought a big fake Kardashian dump truck *** and she looks weird now. Oh well. Her younger stuff is still well documented on the websites.

- It's her hen friends throwing the shower for one of my best buddies and his wife, who also happens to be one of her best friends. It's on a Sunday, so it is not a party. It's the day after my annual drunkfest celebrating my birthday so I will be hungover and salty. If it wasn't for one of my buddies, I surely wouldn't go.

Talk to any hen about "showers" and they'll tell you, "OMG- they're so annoying. I don't even like going." So what do they decide to do? INCLUDE F'ING MEN.

- I'm due for a new bourbon for old fashioned making. What's a good $25-35 bourbon for such things that doesn't include Bulleit, Woodford, Makers or Jefferson?

"I haven't seen that speed on the open floor since Wall at Kentucky." --Biancardi on Fox.

His thoughts, from KSR w/ Bilas yesterday:

DE’AARON FOX

“The one I believe that is going to help and impact the most is De’Aaron Fox, the point guard. With the loss of Tyler Ulis, Fox is going to be handed the basketball and I think he is going to deliver in a big time way because he is 6’3; he has all the athleticism you would need, laterally and vertically; and Jay, he has tremendous straight-line speed. He’s not John Wall-type speed, but he’s close. And I haven’t seen that speed on the open floor since Wall at Kentucky.”

“I think he brings the most impact and the ball is going to be in his hands from Day 1.”

“He’s clearly the best perimeter defender coming into college next year.”

MALIK MONK

“Malik Monk will pick up a lot of the scoring that was left behind by Murray. Monk has outstanding three-point range and he’s not afraid to launch it up there. He also has a beautiful pull-up game. He scores buckets — that’s what he does. I wouldn’t be surprised if Malik Monk was the leading scorer next year at Kentucky.”

“His DNA is to put the ball in the basket at all times.”

BAM ADEBAYO

“A guy that I really love is Bam Adebayo. He’s 6-9, 240 — he’s really a power forward that is going to play center. When you watch this guy at the end of the night, Jay, you will see a double-double in the box score with points and rebounds. You don’t even have to run a play for the guy and he can get 10 points in a game from offensive rebounds. He runs the floor in transition. He’ll take a little jumpshot every now and again. Great footwork inside. Not noted as a guy who can score, but we see him putting the ball in the basket at about eight or 10 points per game. But without question, there will be nights that Bam Adebayo has more rebounds than points.”

Speaking of marriage, saw this Facebook status yesterday:

My wife cheated on me on her school trip, we will be getting a divorce. I'm sorry but we will be leaving our commitments. I'm sorry but I need to get my life straight. Thanks - @'s Cheating Wife

The thing that impressed me the most about Bam in the few times I've gotten to see him - and this is just because I wasn't expecting it from him - was his passing. I don't want to say he's got the passing gene yet, but in those all-star games your bigs are always the ones that are looking to get theirs because they know the guards aren't going to pass it to them much, and Bam made some really nifty passes.

Also, he rebounds with both hands and dunks the ball really hard and stuff. This is good IMO.

Pretty clear just from watching him Fox has everything Cal would want in a PG- long, fast, athletic, good playmaking instincts, good form on his J- but he definitely needs some polish. He needs to settle down a bit. It will take him some time, but by the time Calipari gets it to sink in, watch out.

?

Women are "smart" this way. My wife told me after one that she really expected me to be an *** at some point and get us out of there a little faster.

I guess being drilled about being married to an ******* is better than just saying no.
