Subway Double Chicken Chopped Salad has been the play for the past couple of months. Veggies, vinaigrette, oregano, enjoy.

What's Cal's record vs. Coach K in recruiting the last few years? Not a rhetorical question.

Gabriel: UK
Lyles: UK
Booker: UK

Bolden: Duke
Giles: Duke
Tatum: Duke
Kennard: Duke
Ingram: Duke
Winslow: Duke
Okafor: Duke
Jones: Duke

That's 3-8.

Others?

We didn't really recruit Winslow.

Turns out I do have a broken jaw. Stellar

Thankfully it's a single fracture where I don't have to get my mouth wired shut. But am on a liquid diet for 6 weeks.

So any recipes for me!?

Yup. Make a shake every day I'm home for lunch.

Protein powder
Mixed bag of frozen fruit (Wally World has best price)
Almond Milk
Giant scoop of Peanut Butter
Banana
Some crushed ice

You can cry about taking the air out of the ball but we were money in winning time before that game and we win the game regardless if the refs don't gift them 2 gd points after we had played our best defensive possession of the game swinging the momentum.

Eff you all for bringing up that game every gd time something doesn't turn out well for UK.

So I did the Scots Weed N Feed, and it did a great job of getting rid of clover, dandelions, and all the other stuff that makes up 90% of my "grass"

...now, I have a pretty thin 'yard' w/ some barren spots since all that filler **** is pretty much gone, actually looked before "before", at least from a distance when freshly mowed.

What's step 2 of this process, or do I just wait for grass to magically take all the bad guys' place?

I mean, the mature thing to do is congratulate him on making a decision and to wish him well.

But let's be honest, you really don't wish him well. So is acting mature really just being two faced?

The only thing worse than the "WELP WE SUCK PROBABLY WON'T MAKE THE TOURNAMENT NOW" gloom & doomers is the "SO WHAT OUR ROSTER IS STILL BETTER THAN PUKE'S IN CAL WE TRUST LET'S ROLL!!!" Pollyannas.

So Giles missed his entire Soph season with a blown left ACL. Then played his junior year, then missed his entire senior season with a blown right ACL? So, more ACL injuries than seasons of HS basketball in the last 3 years. Why is he still a top 10 Recruit? Can someone give me all the examples of guys who blew out both ACLs at an early age and recovered completely?

Well, the pollyanas have been more in line with our actual on-court results. So I would say the people who are consistently miserable pricks during the second best run of their lifetime are worse. jmo

if the pollyannas were always right, Duke wouldn't have won more titles than us since Cal's been here & K wouldn't be beating Cal head-to-head so often.

If the Chicken Littles were always right, we wouldn't have won in 2012 and Cal wouldn't own Pitino.

Both groups can vigorously get pumped.

Learn middle ground.

If you're still excited for the season and still think we're on the short list of favorites while acknowledging that it would have been nice to have Bolden but it's not everything, nor was it ever... Seriously, just get pumped in both ends at the same time, you make me sick.

Wodie... Step 2 of the process is to hire a pro who knows what they're doing for a living to do the work for a reasonable price.

Have a guy.. 38 dollars every 6 weeks to treat and fertilize. I don't mind mowing, landscaping & whatever whatever else around the house but when it comes to that kind of stuff you really need to know your **** to properly care for your lawn.

Richie is correct. Bought a brand new house 6 years ago this month. Quarter-acre lot, and it had very little grass growing when we bought it. After years of trying to do it all myself I broke down and went the sod route two years ago.

Did great up until this year and it was looking horrible. Scotts guy was in my neighborhood and left info at my door. I took em up on the offer.

They've been out two times so far (every 6 weeks) and my yard has never looked better. Thick, dark green grass and the weeds are gone. $45 each time. They spray fertilizer, herbicide, and preventer I think. Takes about 10 mins. Highly recommend.

Already told you. Scotts Max Green Lawn every 8 weeks. Thick and greenest lawn on the block in one month.

As a man, I take pride in doing these manly things myself. Unfortunately, I have no clue what I'm doing. I mean, who do you learn lawn and gardening skills from, anyways? Someone old?

What's that Scotts number again?

-Finally started Vinyl the other day. Pretty good so far. It has by far the best soundtrack of any show I've ever seen. Pretty cool how they kind of combine the old classics with new artists covering them throughout the show. Oh yeah and Olivia Wilde is :fire::boom::bomb:.

-Interviewed with KSR on Wednesday and it couldn't have gone better. Drew, Roush and Maria conducted the interview. Was kinda surprised at how big Drew and Roush are in person. One of the questions they asked me was if I was given the choice to fight one Isaac Humphries sized Tyler Ulis or ten Tyler Ulis sized Isaac Humphries which would I go with. Threw them the curveball that I'd take on the Humphries sized Ulis. It's one guy not ten, and even though Humphries may be soft he's still an Aussie and all Aussie's have a bit of a brawler inside of them. What's your choice, GYERO?

-Think I have a really good shot at landing that writing gig. If I do, I may also venture into recording a podcast. Shootbag already said he's down to co-host. Good opportunity to deliver scorching hot UK takes and make fun of the football team. What would be a good lead in song to start the podcast?

-Watching my sister's house all week while she is in Croatia. There's a venison roast in her freezer she said I could eat. What's the best way to prepare/cook the thing, BBdK?

-Feel like drinking a thousand beers this weekend, you guys.

BBdk just got a gd John Deere and he needs to use it.

My master lawncare dude gave me the business. You want Lesco products.

Yellow bag - pre-emergent/herbicide + fertz (early spring)

Red bag - grub control + weak fertz (summer)

Green bag - fall fertilizer

That's 3 bags a year (1/3 acre...$30+/- a bag) Takes no time to spread.Hardest part is setting up and getting the right setting on your spreader, but stay on the light side, make sure to not over do it, and you too can be a lawn care professional.

Lesco was actually bought by John Deere, and that's one of the few places you can get it....from what I read. My dude got it from a contractor supply where normal joes can't purchase.

Be a gd John Deere like you SPOSED to be.
