-Haven't been back in GYERO long, but since then, I read two stories about exotic location blowjobs. Both awesome...don't get me wrong, it just hurts that those two BJ's have double what I've received in FY 2016.

-Buttered, MC Hammered, Blackout, tore down, illnicked (had a hunch back teacher that was named after), trashed, and a few others I can't remember.

-Growing up the only country club I knew of was Coyote's.

-May break out the sticks tomorrow. $21 at Heritage Hill after 1 PM.

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I think I know who SB's dad is - I'd already thought of that. And yep, I'm older than most.

No big deal. It will make more sense later on, when you all figure out I was way ahead on this one.

Could be a smart move those two posting in GYERO at this point in its' history. The ones that first started this thing and those that jumped in soon thereafter are in positions of influence at their respective jobs/careers.

I mean, why wouldn't you want to post in a thread as a hopeful graduate where the average net worth is 7 figures?

Good career move, guys.

Speaking of south end country clubs... South Park CC. That place still a real, functioning place? Internet says so but I'm not exactly sure considering it was one of the most difficult places in the world to actually find and I never really knew anyone who was a member, or at least no one that ever spoke of being one.

Reading Barry's post of botched skullduggery with a college freshman followed by Century's musings really brings it home for me how awkward it gets for the adult red-blooded male when he gets to his mid-40's such as myself. Those 18-22 y.o. college lassies include some of the daughters of close, long-time friends-- friendships I've had since those girls were pre-school age.

And some of those girls are downright beautiful, too. I don't look at them so much like a dirty old man, but like a distant, uncreepy uncle damn glad that I don't have to be their dad and think about what/who they're doing at college. And then I see a random smokeshow, same age, and I'm back to dirty old man status.

Aidra Fox, anyone?

Huge JCPS administrator Country Club.

There is a whole south end mafia (not true mafia) that came up in the 70's that all grabbed those government education dollars. Some went off to Wildwood while a lot of the others wound up at South Park.

I was a member in 2007-2008 because it was cheap as hell and you could tee off every morning at 8am by yourself.

Still a fair amount of south end business owners in there iirc.

I've always heard good/decent things about it, tbh. I still have no clue where it even is, or how to get to it...pretty much the only place I can say that about in this entire county.

My wife grew up lifeguarding out there. It's still there. They've got an Eli-esque invitational every year that's a lot of fun to play. Decent little course, good people, it's definitely your best option for a club if you live in the deep south end, as my wife's family does.

^ what are the annual dates? Didn't even realize there was a tourney like that around here other than the City/Metro deal.

One of the things that sucks about an actual 'city' golf scene. Member/Guests are really your only option, and those typically cost vacation $$$.

You can play in a different STROKE PLAY tournament every weekend all summer long out in the state if you want to.

South Park was a really nice course, even though its a ***** to get to. I worked at L&N Country Club as a high schooler, which was actually further out on the same road. Not sure what its called now but it was a mess- about as poorly run a club as you could imagine.

I grew up in the south end, well, summered here until I went to HS...before that Portland.

Anyway, the only time I've ever seen South Park CC is by pure accident. If I get the urge to just drive around with the windows down blasting Jimmy Buffet I can find it. If you tell me right now to take you there, no chance in hell I'll find it. Unless you go pat the underpass on the Stonestreet exit and just keep driving.

The Crossings.

Hole 9 or 18 has a comic like pin position. You almost have to make it in order to keep it from rolling down the hill. That's including putting uphill.

There is a waitress at the Molly's in St Matthews with an unreal giant ***. Almost too much *** TBH.

There used to be a Men's Metro put on by Metro Parks that was a nice flighted tourney. Last time I played in it it was at Vettiner. Decent prizes, too much sandbagging though

This year its July 16th-17th, I think. They've moved it around a bunch the last few years, which sucks because I can't play that weekend. From what you all have told me about the Eli, its definitely not as big, but it's a good time- two day stroke play, skins game, and usually after they finish on Sunday afternoon they run back out for a shootout or team money game. It's a fun little event. I'm definitely bummed I can't make it. Think I made 3 doubles in 36 holes and lost by 2 last year. I wanted another shot at it.

It's in the middle of nowhere. Kind of similar to Doss but at least Doss is on a busy south end road. South Park is out past Fairdale but before Okalona/Bullitt County. It's a a strange area and you wouldn't be over there with a reason.

Also, I did know people that were members there. We use to go fishing in the pond late in the evenings.

It is really just two turns from the Gene Snyder. The Crossings, L&N or whatever it is called is much further out.

South Park is 1.5 miles off the National Turnpike exit on Gene Snyder.

Yeah, it's not hard to get to but I can't think of a reason you'd be anywhere near that area unless you were headed there. My grandparents lived right out there so I'm familiar with that area.

It's easier to get to the Crossings using the Brooks exit off I-65.

That's where the UAW has their retirees' golf scramble every year. I was on the winning team one year when they paired me with 2 70+ guys and an 80 year old.

Senior tees FTW. [winking]

Glenmary is a GD joke. Played with a buddy there last summer and the bunkers where grassed over. Apparently there is a feud going on between the owners and the neighborhood association an they just let the thing go. Green Fee W/ Cart was $22.

South Park is still in good shape and has a large number of members as of 2015. Played twice there last summer and was in quality condition.

Glenmary is the classic case of this century when it comes to your average neighborhood CC & their struggle to survive.

Place was dope when it opened...fun/tough course, perfect shape. It was a regular on the Jr. Tours of my youth -- never played well there b/c it's tightness (lol) was intimidating for young wodie, but it was a really nice mid-level club.

Place is a deserted wasteland now. Indian Springs, same. Standard CC, maybe the saddest case of them all.

Hell, even many of the classic 'big boy' clubs around here have had to resort to "dual" memberships with others around town.

We have a dual membership which is pretty awesome. I prefer the convenience of BS, but the isolated country feel of HL is hard to beat. Just depends on my mood. I take the kids out to HL all the time b/c we can fart around on the course without feeling like everyone is watching us, which we get in town. The land out there is a gold mine, so that's why the acquisition took place. Not sure it is sustainable in the long run. We'll see.

Yeah, let's talk some more about the clothing styles of college kids.

It's spring/summer, golf creeps into GYERO, as do many other things when there isn't UK Sports going on. Get over it, and then get pumped -- either order is fine.

- Well, I agree that satellite camps are beneficial to the kids and should probably be allowed with some regulation, I find Harbaugh's sanctimony hilarious. Yeah, he really cares about the kids. He cares about himself and that's it.

- The media's Manziel fascination is weird.

- So, looks like Ferguson is done with visits and will pop for Arizona or Baylor. Maybe Bama?

- Golf conversation is fine. I just hate any Louisvilleness. What a **** town.

You should see the Pearl (RIP the Summitt) now. I played it early last year and it made MCC look like we were rolling in dough. I can't do justice to the crappy condition it was in, like worse than the Mad'ville City Park.

Apparently, a new owner came in and immediately assessed every member, and 70% of their members bailed.

Anyway, my understanding is that that guy got bought out and they are trying to restore the place.

If WCC wants the lowdown on Sacremento going from 18 to 9 holes he can DM me, we can also discuss the resurgence of Arrowhead.

Sounds to me like there are too many GD country clubs out there.

Also think I'll buy some land, slap a beer tent, putt-putt course, and above-ground pool on it, and call it the "Country Club." **** would go over like gangbusters in the sticks.

The Michigan guys here in my office are in a full blown war against me on this. I agree with what you typed 100%.

But I keep on poking them with a stick and they are beyond red about it.

Was a member of Lakeshore CC. It was for the poors who could not afford the $165 per month for MCC. A young adult seeing a coke machine with beer in it in the lounge was heaven. Got 4 tokens for $5, $1.25 for a domesto in a dry county, yes please. $80 membership drive went so well, they expanded to 18. Probably closed now, have not been out that way in 10 years. Loved it, in-laws lived on Lakeshore Drive, a young CatsfanMky could easily drive back to their house tore up from the floo up. Bud 2 Man was the ****, kegs galore.

Pretty much played MCC whenever I wanted with my cousin, so was really a member of both. Chess, Jimmy, Jeff, all where nothing but great host, can't beat those guys. Funny story, years later (99ish, Jimmy R., Jeff was down here for a scramble at Heartland and his D player did not show. Ran into him in the clubhouse and he says "Need you to be our "d" player." "I was like I am hosting for my company and I suck." Jimmy being Jimmy, he tells me, "you are not a "D" player, we will use some of your shots and you know it." We finished 2nd, I holed one from 80 yards for a birdie on 10, lol.

Signed my daughter up for softball earlier this year and she can't play since it's the same time as her soccer practice. Still get the group emails from the coach and noticed yesterday that I'm pretty sure abh is on the same group email.

Almost GYERO in real life I guess.
