- Slice and Shoot- how often do you hit Keeneland per meet these days? My O/U was probably at around 4x by my senior year.

- Speaking of which, thinking it may be a pastel buttondown, some chinos and a navy blazer for dad on Friday. 73 and sunny.

- Fall meet >>>>>> Spring meet. Not even close in my eyes.

- Always interesting to see what hoochiewear the college girls are rocking this particular year. My favorite Keeneland look was always the sundress/cowboy boots ensemble.

- Women loooooooove them some Tervis. Apparently, it's more than just a water bottle.

- Anyone have Derby plans? Probably staying up here, making some bets at Belterra and drinking my face off with my buddies (lass will be going this year on/with one of her accounts).

- Way to be yourself, Josh Gordon.

- I'm sure Willis loves his gf making him sound like an insecure p****. Actually, dude comes off as pretty whipped so probably not. Glad we got to hear from here, though! Thanks, Larry!

No preference on Fall vs Spring at Keeneland. However, I'm strongly Friday>>>>Saturday.

-One thing I never thought of when I was younger, buying a share of a cow. Just picked up like 100#s of high quality custom processed beef. Arggghh.

-in a loaner car today. At this point going back to a car from a SUV isn't an option. Hate how it feels.

-MSU went from a big time season to middle pack in 3 days. Lol.

-I try to go to Keeneland once a weekend per meet. With co-oping this semester, I can only make it out on Saturday or Sunday. This coming Saturday will be the first time I've been this Spring. I prefer the Fall meet to the Spring as well.

-WCC, I'd anticipate you'll get your sundress/cowboy boot combo this weekend with the weather. Can't say I love that look. I'm a fan of the sundresses, but the boots just throw it off for me for some reason. Not really sure why.

-If I'm going for a boot look for girl, give me yoga pants with riding boots all/air.

I haven't insinuated he's unethical in my posts and I'm sure he operates well within the law concerning his job. I just hate car finance guys. I hate the way they try to sell you extended warranties, special coatings to protect from bird poop, special insurance to protect the seats, gap insurance (when I paid for over 1/3 of the car up front) and everything else under the sun even when you state explicitly up front that you aren't interested in any of those things.

I'll leave him alone now. After reading that paragraph above, I can see that he might easily stroke out. We wouldn't want that now would we?

No strokes for me. You think way too much of your posting abilities, maybe someone else thinks they are a good poster. If anyone tries to sell you gap insurance with half down, third down, or any such is a gd piece of ****. Unless a customer is upside down and doesn't pay money down, I never offer. I do not even offer paint or fabric protector, I think they are a waste of money, same for the etch junk, or AH / disability insurance.

Warranties are worth the money. Have a transmission or engine go bad and you will see. I actually have really high scores from GM customer feed back. Look, I have been doing this 23 years, I am not in it for a quick buck. You screw people over, they will never buy another car where you work. That happens enough, your *** is fired. Have only been on 2 jobs in the last 18 years, and have several customers who stop in and visit when not buying cars. I have loyal people who only deal with me and will not talk to a salesperson when buying a car. I take care of them.

Had a customer break down on the way from Wisconsin to Florida to stay at their Florida home. I had them approved , delivered, on their way in less than a hour. When they came back through, they brought me a t-shirt, beer hugger, and other stuff from the Resort town they live in.
I understand the bad rap car guys get (lots of them earned it), but to lump ALL car guys in that is a bit small minded, and a worse reflection on yourself. Like Chase said, judge for yourself. 90% of the people posting here if you knew me or was around me a few hours, would laugh your *** off and leave thinking "he is a really ****** poster, but damn a really funny, pretty dangum good guy." When I noticed a joke was taken the wrong way, I apologized to Strokin because I did not want him thinking I was a dick, and it was taken wrong and was meant as joking about his coaching. If I am wrong, I own it, but I also do not let people attack my character nor me so when it happens, I fire back. Another long winded post, no stroke though, just takes a while for me to get points across.

I haven't been to Keeneland in a few years.Working night shift at UPS on Friday nights just makes it hard to be in Lex/drinking by 9am. My buddy, one of ShootBag's roommates, has been on my *** the last week or so about going this Saturday so I'm considering it. It's just a matter of if I'm willing to commit to being up 36+ hours straight. Do it all the time during football season but the Sunday after is always miserable.

Fall meet is way better than Spring. Not even a contest really.

Only gonna make it once this meet, kind of bummed about that really.

Fall > Spring.

Have come around a little on the cowboy boots, just not a great look imo. But whatever, keep looking good in those dresses.

Fridays/weekdays are more relaxing because its less crowded. Guess it just depends what your set up/crew is that day.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure there are more warm days for them to wear shorts and tank tops after the first cool day of fall. Learn seasons.

With WCC, definitely like leggings/yoga pants over shorts, skirts, etc.

What an awful take. Shorts, skirts, sun dresses in a walk. Not even a conversation.

Also, Chad has been making the same sundress boot take for years. Like maybe the 11 years I've known him. I don't hate that look but it's certainly not my favorite. Give me sun dress and heels/wedges. Much more feminine and classy.

- UK UofL baseball game tomorrow at the Cliff. Was a little pissed they postponed the game last week, but it looks like it paid off. Will be sunny and 65 for the first pitch. There might be some girls wearing shorts, and some that will be wearing yoga pants [smoke]

- This season of Better Call Saul has seemed pretty slow paced, but last night's was damn good. Never thought that show could touch Breaking Bad's level, but it really is awesome.

- Has more to do with the fact that I really haven't been to Keeneland in awhile and when I go to football games, we spend most of our time at Anth's. So, I have no clue if that look is still in style or what the babes are wearing these days. The lass went last weekend for a bachelorette party and said all the girls looked like hoes wearing really short rompers?

- I stand strong on the yoga pants look over anything else.

I completely agree with the look. But then you do have to factor is some functionality. Cruising around in the grass in heels can be a precarious situation. And you could also end up with a hussy that's bitching about her feet hurting, and makes a scene.

Hey- whatever the babes can wear that will make them not angry or stressed is cool with me.

Seems like it's time to say this.

I find it strange that 2 college-aged kids are posting so much in a thread of regulars whose ages range from early 30s to late 40s+.

You guys are welcome here, and it's nice to have some fresh perspective and college stories. I enjoy reading your occasional drive-by posts, but do you really have nothing better to do than "hang out" with older people for what is becoming the better part of the day?

When I was your age* - [laughing]and I fully realize how old and curmudgeonly that sounds[laughing] - I wouldn't have been hanging out here with a bunch of old married guys.

Many will probably disagree with me, and that's fine. I just find it strange.

Carry on and I'll go back to mostly lurking.

They're the same age as when we started in here. I was 23. Hell, Will was 14.

Hasn't that been the cases since the crew was their age?

I mean I'm at work Monday-Friday for the better part of the day, and a good amount of the day I'm just dicking around on the internet. I don't check this too much when I'm at my house/on the weekend or anything.

Have you and your dad had "the talk" about his friend Century?

The college guys now are no more weird than the 35-40 year olds who posted here and hung out with a bunch of college students/recent grads 10 years ago.

No, we are the ones who started this whole deal, and we were all similar age. As cricket noted, it may have been weird for 60 year old Century hanging out w/ us young college graduates though.

I don't blame those two, we're cool AF & who they want to be soon as adults & we're all good-to-great at everything. :100points:

Yeah, it's probably weird. Oh well. It's nice hearing about things from perspective other than what I hear from my peers/see on twitter everyday. I post mostly on days like this when I'm at the library supposed to be studying for an exam/doing homework.

Shootbag told me about this place and I started lurking in 2012 around the time basketball season started. Best CBB discussions you can find anywhere, plus this place has made me a much bigger/better *******. For that I am very grateful.

Century is just cranky because now his friend's kid is posting here and he has conflicting emotions. He'll be fine. He was still old when we were early 20's and posting on here.
