Who care about Skalasucka?

I mean really, does it matter at all if he comes back? And if he does, might that possibly do more harm (chase Bolden off) than be a good thing?

Besides, I wouldn't believe ANYTHING said as of today. Why the hell wouldn't he go through the draft evaluation process and get feedback before deciding? This year more than ever before, with the new rule.

There is a little talk guys, that's it, a little talk. No one is sayin its a done deal, no one is saying he won't go through the process. But there is some talk, which is way more than any of us thought would be. It was a foregone conclusion------->he gone. Now, from a couple insiders, it may be not so fast my friend. It's that simple, what was thought to be 100%, may be a slight possibility of a return.

Some will hate that news because they hate Skal and his game but regardless there is some talk out there when you wouldn't expect any talk to be out there.

How much more effective would Skal be next to a guy like Bam?

I think it would be huge for him. No pressure to be *the* big guy anymore which would allow him to grow at his own pace instead of shitting his confidence down his leg in front of Rupp. I think strength was as much of a problem for him as anything and a year in the off season will transform that...even though he's a giant mental puss, 15 lbs of muscle would do a world of difference for him.

Logically, I know it probably doesn't matter whether Skal returns because he was so awful and weak and ineffective and frustrating and incompetent this year that he was all but useless.

But there's always that hope that the light comes on and he so much as comes close to his potential. And hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.

Skal returning would be awesome. Season under his belt, whole off season to get stronger and improve, practice and play pickup against top notch talent, enter next season more confident and ready.... I like that thought. Having said that, it ain't happening.

Dodson not eligible, right? I'd go, Orton #1 easily. Then Goodwin. Then biiiiiiig dropoff and then James Young and then Skal is I guess #4, but kinda by default.

Dodson's UK career is an enigma in my brain. The only time I can remember him doing anything, on the floor or off, was this moment:

And even in that moment I don't really remember him doing anything other than celebrating.

I don't hate Skal the person, I hate Skal the freshman year basketball player.

If he comes back, I'll pretend I always wanted him back and be optomistic about it. I'll discuss heavily how awesome it could be with him along side Bam.

If he leaves I'll say that's what I wanted and that I don't want his basketball AIDS infecting this team.

-would be SHOCKED if he came back but I'd welcome that for sure.

-Tony's last night. Very solid.

-Le Moo on Thursday lunch. 1/2 grill cheese and short rib.

-love putting my big cheat meals in MFP just to see what I can ring up.

-like the character but Chip is definitely a switch hitter.

- @ picking Archie as your least favorite. Forced to play out of position with a defunct team. I actually feel bad Nerlens and him didn't get a better experience.

-still think Stevens is coming back? Dude is at home. It was always said he hated recruiting and the college model. Dude is a beast.

With Wynyard, Hump, Lee, Willis, Hawkins, Mulder, Matthews we have 7 returning plus the 5 recruits. That's 12, leaving one spot for Briscoe, Skal, or Bolden. Would really like to have a veteran in the backcourt next year.

Of those 3, I'd take Skal last for next year's team. Unfortunately looks like we are gonna run off one of Mulder/Matthews/Wynyard/Hump. I hate doing that. I'd guess I'd prefer it be Wynyard or Mulder, though that sucks for those guys.

I don't think there's any chance we run Humphries off. He's 7' tall, can rebound and has good hands. Just raw. It would be idiotic to take that kid off the team. He'll be a viable scoring threat and potential leading rebounder by his junior year. I'd put better odds on Humphries being a sophomore here than Lee being a senior.

First Final Four Saturday in 3 years that we don't have a Kentucky game to look forward to. Sucks.

Also sucks that in every NCAA Tournament loss since Cal has been here, we played like ***.

2016: Murray 1 for 9, Ulis misses shots he normally hits, bigs no-showed.

2015: First team All-American was awful, didn't execute down the stretch.

2014: Played tighter than we had the whole Tournament. Randle looked scared to death.

2011: Couldn't hit a free throw or a jump shot.

2010: 1 for 47 from three.

I have an easier time accepting losses when we play well (Kansas this year) than when we gack it away. Of course, when you have more talent than everybody else, your A game will generally be enough.

Oh well. Go OklaNovaCuse.

Anyone else going to watch The Ranch on Netflix? Pretty solid.

Is this a sick joke? Skal EARNED the nickname Lapussyhair and fans want him back? I mean I don't want anything bad for him and I hope he makes it, but I don't want him in blue next year either.

I don't think there is any shot UNC loses today, but of course my gambol has tanked to hell and I will be betting UNC just to jinx them. Probably win by 1 like the pricks that they are.

Lapussyhairs mid range jumper giving Bam room to operate down low and Bullitt Counties finest bombing 3s extending the defense and opening up driving lanes for the guards could be the keys to next seasons title run.

Remember four years ago when the narrative was that Teague marcus go pro because Harrow was going to kill his draft stock by taking all the minutes at PG in 2013?

Didn't Nerlens move up a year to graduate HS? It's a shame he didn't hang back and play with Randle, Young, and the Harrisons. Shew.

Are some of you really taking the stance that anyone projected to be a lottery pick that didn't turn out to be one after their freshman year can just GTFO anyway?

Honestly, sometimes we deserve the stereotypes we get.

I didn't think of it that way, but I guess I am with this kid.

I saw it more as a 7' tall bean pole frustrating the **** out of me by not rebounding balls that hit his hands. I also saw it as a 7' jackass not blocking shots that he jumped every time for making him a terrible defensive liability and even further hurting his ability to rebound until the last week of the season. Add to that I think Cal only put the elbow range jump shot play in effect to boost his draft stock and will not run it the whole season because since he got here his whole game plan is to attack the rim, rebound and attack again.

I hate it for Skal but his pick and pop game is better suited in the NBA than at UK under Cal.

Yep. I personally witnessed it and that was February Teague. No clue what happened to Harrow that Fall but it was all mental.

It's the one and done. If players don't come in and preform right away since they are most likely gone anyways its easy to dog them and not connect. Years back if a high ranked freshman didn't have a great 1st year fans would know they had a sophomore year to improve. If Tony Delk had the kind of freshman year he had in today's environment he may have never had the chance to become one of the most beloved Wildcats of alltime.

Right or wrong, the redass comes from the perception that Cal will stubbornly showcase underperforming freshman at the expense of putting the best chance to win on the floor.

Looks a bit off-center, and crooked.
It is dead-nuts level at the 36'30 parallel as abstracted by me above Clarksville. It is also perfectly centered and proportioned to the wall area per the golden ratio.
Fire place is super disappointing too. Barely qualifies
My in-laws didn't have to create a cushy job for me after failing to adequately provide for my family in what is traditionally a women's profession, so I'm not too dissapointed in it.

Also, I don't have to play a part in cleaning up human **** for a living to purchase it, so I actually feel real satisfaction when I gaze upon my fireplace, tbh.

Tough gig to make it in, not unlike any other sales position where you start from Zero (unless you purchase a book, of course). I'm one of 2 agents left that I was hired/trained with 7+ years ago...(out of 20 something).

The grind is worth it in the end, but like most sales positions, it takes good while successfully slangin' to get there -- and you either have it, or you don't.

The Life-Only insurance companies are hiring 24/7/365 -- I can't even begin to imagine working for one of those. :weary:
It's a *****. Worked for New York Life after leaving American Express Financial after a recruiter blew all kinds of smoke up my ***.

I wrote a 100k financial plan from some dude that got money from a crash, turn it in to my boss, he yells at me for not writing any life contracts that week.

Lasted about two months then told them to get pumped.

I just realized Oklahoma beat Villanova by 23 in December. Shows how much I've been following the Final Four coverage.
