I think every small town has a gas station that serves the best breakfast. There's one back in Russell County that has eggs cooked to order, fried potatoes, pork tenderloin biscuits, chicken biscuits, white gravy, and chocolate gravy, along with all the traditional stuff and you can get a platter for $5.

Gas station at Louden and Contract used to serve excellent breakfast sandwiches. Country ham, egg, cheese. Little store out Winchester Rd on one of my bike routes has a good flat top burger. I've stopped there a few times. We also have Old San Juan and Ramirez.
At best, CBB is the 5th most popular sport. If you want to count NASCAR and MMA, then they're both more popular than CBB too. And probably soccer. People love the tournament because of gambol and office bracket pools, just like fantasy football made NFL so popular. The difference being that fantasy football makes the entire season relevant and interesting.
Not a popular take in GYERO, but I feel the same. The game today is almost unrecognizable compared to what we grew up watching. Grind it out style of play, micro-management, flopping as a defensive strategy, etc.
Versailles plopping a Bojangles down in a spot I drive past every day is a dangerous development.
There's a Bojangles coming to Georgetown as well and the rumor is another one in Winchester.
Charles Barkley was talking about the micromanagement of college basketball after the Virginia meltdown yesterday. And he was spot on. College coaches manage every single second of a game on the sidelines, and they don't adapt...they rarely change their strategy even though their strategy is getting them beat. I love Calipari and wouldn't have anyone else at coach, but his micromanagement is his achilles heel, and has probably cost him 2-3 Championships over the years. Sometimes it's better to just roll the ball out there and let your horses do their thing...with limitations of course. Adolph Rupp in the late 40s and early 50s won games b/c his players were better than the other players. His horses were bigger stronger faster and he let them do their thing.

* Marge has never been to Keeneland. We're going to head down on a weekday in the next couple of weeks.
* Picked up my new mower on Friday. Troy-Built with a Honda engine. It was a helluva deal at Lowe's that I couldn't pass up. It has a cool deck wash feature that you hook your hose up to to clean everything off when you are done. I dig it.
* Going to take my dad down to LBL sometime in the next couple of weeks for a little fishing. Pretty pumped about that.
* I made some goetta/egg casserole muffins for Easter brunch yesterday. WAF.
* What am I looking at to finish my basement? It is pretty big. I'm going to keep some of it unfinished for storage, but I'm going to have a workout area, a bar area with a basketball court type floor, a half bath and a family room. $40k?

There was a guy on one of Jones's podcasts (I think) who said if you can get to 65 points on UVa, you'll beat them. Pretty damn dead on.

I think the hype is based on it being an unapologetic R-rated action movie that is extremely well done, along with the nostalgia factor.
It scratches an itch that hasn't been scratched in many years and hopefully recalibrates Hollywood a bit. Instead of PG-13 "action" movies that show 0 blood, have 2 cuss words, and a male *** as the extent of nudity, they'll see that R-rated action movies can still bring in money, and they'll make more good ones.
I wouldn't be shocked if Dead Pool was allowed to be more Dead Poolish by the studio because of Fury Road's success.

Fury Road tried to minimize the fake-*** CGI, which makes what they pulled off pretty spectacular. I thought it was a great movie - and it wasn't three hours long, which is a damn miracle these days.
George Miller - the guy who created Mad Max - was this close to being the guy who gave us a Justice League movie. Instead we get Zack Snyder's of Turdlin. Who is awful.

I do think he should be looking at any legit offers though, as his shine may wear off over the next few seasons. He loses Van Fleet, Baker, Wessel, Grady this year...gonna be a pretty big drop off next year from the past several.

Kevin Stallings clearly wanted to be closer to Scranton.
I thought 300 was a fantastic movie, but that was about Zach Snyder's best effort. I thought Watchmen was meh, and Sucker Punch owes every cent that movie made to whoever made the trailer. If people had really known that movie was such a turd, it wouldn't have made a dime.
