I'm in a LinkedIn group where Rick Pitino just joined and posted texts between himself and Katina Powell setting up parties for the whole 2013 team, wire transactions dating back to his first day on Floyd Street, and a video chat detailing how he taught T-Will the 3 fingers technique himself.

You guys should see it, pretty neat.
Rick Pitino has endorsed Katina Powell for the following skills:

Networking
Team Building
Gaping ******

-[laughing] @ you idiots that don't want Bolden. Your post will be dug up a year from now.

Yeah, I'd rather not have the #1 center in the most loaded class from the last decade either, sounds awful. Shooters are very important, but so are rim protectors and rebounds. Bam would be the only big body in there unless Humphries is going to make a big move.

-Why on earth wouldn't you want to travel abroad right now? Personally I'd give a toe to be chilling on a Mediterranean Beach, getting afternoon tipsy in Barcelona, sitting at a cafe on a crowded street in Paris, becoming best friends with some guy I can't understand in an Irish Pub, hitting a coffee shop then stumbling around the Van Gogh Museum for a couple hours, etc. The attacks are terrible but that is very isolated. Better chance of you choking on your 3rd ribeye of the week than being involved in that stuff. Plus you can travel to South America if you're scared of big bad Europe, they have all kinds of **** going on down there.

-TWill, no chance I'm listening to it but we should all be very jealous of his Middle Eastern basketball career.

-GORGEOUS outside right now. Shew. Morning run was :sunglasses:

-CE 8 hours today.... thankfully they've started allowing online courses which I can knock out in about 2 hours of effort.

-Only problem with late sunsets and great weather. Temptation to drink is even higher.

*TWill bragged about flying business class, like most of GYERO even knows what coach is.

*not that i'd expect it another way at this point, but can we not bury the victims of terrorism attacks- and then make it political issue. Maybe show a bit of sympathy before showing your platform?

*For such a weasel, The Biebs sure does put out some bangers.

*Malik Newman, nobody even got a chance to see you play. At least Simmons was the source of criticism and had a few national TV spotlight nights. Newman was never widely discussed on a national level.

*UL's endowment down 9% in the fiscal year. People can survive scandal, they can survive illegal activity, they can survive the public opinion that they are buffoons. But you cannot survive financial uncertainty. Dark days looming.

*Got a new wok that im pretty excited about breaking in this weekend. What a versatile cooking apparatus.

Best warm weather driving songs:
Beck- Where it's at
Talking Heads- Burning down the house
Dire Straits- Sultans of swing
Zeppelin- Going to California
The Animals- House of the rising sun

I mean, I obviously have with my connections and such, but why don't you post a link for some of the more rube GYEROers here.
TWill says, "I may want to touch idk but as of now u can do the massage with the ending"...is the gist of it.

Who said they don't want Bolden? Nobody that I've seen.

-Yeah, I'm not gonna let those pu$$y muslim extremists affect my life, that's weak. I'm not planning any vacations to Syria or the Levant, but other than that, everywhere in mainstream Europe/US is a target...none bigger than NYC.

Told my wife the chances of an attack in the exact area we are in are probably 1 in a million, and the chances it's the exact place & MOMENT is probably 1 in a trillion. Gonna roll with that mindset for now...if I die, I'll at least probably be full & drunk.

If we don't go now, it will probably never happen. Been long enough as it is.

Creepy AF tho seeing the shots of those dudes strolling through the airport though with their bomb carts, ugh. Our last trip, which we cancelled, had us flying in to Brussels as it was far cheaper.

-Those fingernails? o_O

“I’m sure he thinks Skal is for sure leaving, so I don’t know if he needs to hear the words out of his mouth,” Daniels said. “But also Marques is good enough that I don’t think many players would hinder him from seeing the floor, so I don’t know how much that’ll factor in.”

One thing that could help the Cats with Bolden is the fact that his AAU coach and mentor is Jeff Webster, who is a longtime family friend and mentor to former UK star Julius Randle. Webster isn’t tipping his latest star’s hand, however.

[sick] at the thought of how much DNA is on that phone screen.

And [banana]that T-Will is dumb enough to fight with a hooker on social media and lie his *** off while doing so.

Darin Hinshaw, UK’s new co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, sees a lot of room to improve with his quarterbacks. He believes the key to being a good quarterback is decision-making and hitting targets, and his QBs need to improve footwork to successfully do the latter.

I don’t know what they’ve done in the past, but their footwork wasn’t where it needs to be,” said Hinshaw. “What I mean by that is what I coach is not taking big steps in the pocket. When you take big steps, you’re not able to throw the whole time that you’re stepping, okay? So I teach them to take smaller steps so their feet are underneath them, and they’ve got to be able to move their feet quick in the pocket to be able to deliver the ball. Well, they’re not used to doing that so we’ve got to start from scratch with a lot of that stuff.”

If he takes that he's a ***** who I'd never want here. TS. If the "pressure/expectations" at Arizona are enough that he'd leave for Pitt, he's not UK material. :100points:

And yes, I'm fully aware of his playing days & background.

Not saying I buy it, as it makes little sense to me given his rep as the "ultimate competitor", just sayin...

Exactly, it would just mean he can't handle the heat, and is looking for a 'comfy' spot, which does NOT = UK.

I only bring this up b/c he's been 1/2 on pretty much ANY "if/when Cal leaves" list, it seems. (mine included)

He may not have "delivered" out there given his classes, but prior to this year he'd still been to 3 out of the last 6 Elite 8s, putting him in pretty rare company during that span. Would really shock/disappoint me if this is true.

Archie > Sean?

Kid can ball, don't sleep. He's far from a "fill out the class" type player.

Saban made a denial like that a few weeks before he ended up at Bama. Believe he stays though.

You know, since wining the title in 2012 we've had some ****** luck that has doomed us in March.
  • 2013: Nerlens suffers season-ending injury (Insult to injury: UofL wins it all as bracket falls apart in front of them)
  • 2014: WCS suffers season-ending injury
  • 2015: Poythress suffers season-ending injury
  • 2015: All-time great team, just happens to face the most efficient offense in KenPom era, edged with help of missed call
  • 2016: CBB is down, regionals in our own backyard, but we're just (by our standards) average
  • 2016: Multiple injuries all year, supposed top recruit is a bust, brutal draw, and best shooter goes ice cold in NCAAT

I say that to say this: We're due for a run of good luck in the postseason. No major injuries, no screw job by the committee, no ****** draw, no "best shooter in history can't hit anything" performances, etc. Had last year's team been fielded this year, there wouldn't be any point in having a Tournament.

Next year is, in the words of Jeff Spicoli, "our time."

(Also, thank Jeebus for Katina Powell.)

Thing that stood out most from the SK-J video is that Virginia plays their state championship here o_O
