Leave it to the most sanctimonious organization to destroy the purest sports spectacle of the year.......and the saddest part? It's going to get worse before it gets better.

College basketball is trash. I'm sure Vandy fan will chime in on how falling down is actually great defense, but that's a ******** brand of basketball. Get to fly home with a bunch of crushed kids who will take away that they'll be rewarded more for falling on their asses then for standing up and playing basketball.

Just another nugget that makes me feel cozy...

Looking at the other 15 games in the S16, the average seed difference between the two teams was 7.3.... [laughing]

So much for Cinderella. All four 1 seeds, two 2 seeds, and only one team outside a major conference - Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. Unless Syracuse or Gonzaga crash the party, it looks like a very chalky Final Four is pretty much a lock.

Oregon and Duke tip off Thursday at 11pm. WTF? Who could possibly think that's a good idea?

Media keeps hyping the ACC with their 6 S16 teams...which is awesome until you look at the fine print. The best win of the 6? Dayton.

It's a national tournament. Casual fans living in the eastern and central time zones aren't staying up for that **** on a work night. The sport whines about declining ratings and does something stupid like having a marquee game that will end about 1:30 am in the eastern time zone.

Duke is the worst of the 4 Seeds (by a lot), and Oregon is the worst of the 1 Seeds (by a lot). Should be a great game.

I'll be pretty happy with getting seeded out West for the rest of time, which will never ever happen. But it needs to. The West is always a walk.

Not only that, but the Championship game is on TBS this year.

So they air drop Nantz & Co. in to do a few games on network television, advertise 30 years worth of highlights at every commercial break, then punt the culmination of the tournament to the very funny station? Just dumb.

Between the corrosion of officiating and the inability for the powers-that-be to think outside the box and protect its own, making it a 3 week niche sport, CBB is destined to be a blip on the overall sports landscape in the near future.

Yeah the fact that the championship game is on TBS is head scratching.

The whole damn thing is just depressing.

-I said the whole time, if we weren't getting Louisville I'd pick West next. Always the easiest bracket. That's how UL got there in 12.

-Why again can't we start talking about next years team? I'm certainly not talking about f*cking football.

-Positive spin on being out early, I'm not going to put on the my yearly 6-10lbs during the NCAAT from beer, steaks and bar food.

-At least I have the Reds...

Keep playing this ugly brand of ball, starting in October and half *** attempts to promote the young elite players. The game needs an overhaul, it's decades behind.

People like the Warriors b/c they play a fun brand of basketball. Steph Curry is the most popular NBA player, by a lot. The same can be said for the Thunder, which is why kids love KD and Westbrook.

The complete opposite of the Warriors is the Spurs, who were basically set up to stop the Warriors. Which makes the Spurs the perfect villain. Superman's kryptonite. But at least the Spurs have mega talent doing their defensive sorcery.

The college game is the complete opposite. Whereas the NBA teams are pretty equal talent wise, the talent in the college game has great disparity. Teams muck it up b/c they don't have a choice. They flop, use junk defenses, and slow the game down. And people think this is great basketball come tournament time, when upsets happen. It's cute for a round or two, but people are tuning in to see Kentucky vs. Indiana, or Kentucky vs. Duke. No one gives a **** about Oregon vs. Duke.

The whole product sucks. Guess I'll be watching a lot more of the NBA.

- I was angry most of the weekend. Puking my brains out didn't help. Now I'm just sad. It's over. Blah.

- 6" of snow last night. Interview in Boston today for fellowship, and this **** weather is certainly not helping the cause of staying up here.

- For all the talk of parity, the top teams are just better. UNC/Kansas seem destined to meet. The middle was **** all year, and on neutral floors best teams moving on.

- I'm just tired of getting excited based on mixtapes only to be undone by fundamentals, shooting, and coaching.

- One of the college basketballs on tweeter suggested moving 3PT line back to NBA range to encourage spacing and eliminate contact at the rim, hopefully decreasing charge/block situations altogether and these packed defenses. I like it.

- College referees suck balls. Always funny to see respected national basketball guys (Rusillo, etc.) tune into March Madness and completed **** all over the refereeing. Predictable.

-The game needs to adopt NBA rules. The fact the women are closer to NBA rules is ridiculous.

*Widen lane
*Extend the 3pt line
*4 Qtrs to eliminate the ridiculous amount of foul shots
*Defensive 3 seconds
*Eliminate possession arrow.

These are easy fixes. I just don't understand it.

Friend of my wife had a baby shower Saturday afternoon. Worked out everything with a buddy that I was going to slip out around game time and walk down the street to his house. Everyone else was going back to their house after this stupid baby shower, so he had me a special set up with a TV away from the general population. Everyone else got back to the house about midway through the 2nd half, but i never left the room i was in. Couple times a buddy would run up to me and hand me a fresh beer- but that was my only interaction. I drank a lot, which led to me yelling some things late in the 2nd half that I know i shouldnt have said. And I knew it was loud enough that others had to have heard, but I couldnt control it.

I stayed in that room by myself about 45 minutes after the game until finally my wife texted me and said "you probably need to come out of the room at some point." So i did. Walked around the corner to the general population, music was playing, people all over the place- felt like i could slip in undetected. Nope. It was like they were all waiting on me. Music stopped. Everyone stared at me. Buddy came up and gave me a hug. It was like a receiving line at a funeral home for a minute. Then someone yelled "Yo man F*** IU!" which got a good laugh and it seemed like everyone went back to whatever they were doing before.

Apparently one couple left after hearing me curse and swear and use the Lord's name in a disrespectful manner- but I didnt know them so I dont care- although my wife certainly knew them. I guess before they left, and during my tirade- the husband commented to my buddy= whose house we were at, "Maybe that guy needs to find another place to hang out." to which he replied, "or maybe you do." So they left. I guess its good to have some friends who are hard into college sports and *get it*. To the point where if someone else doesnt understand, they can take a hike.

Dark days ahead.

-This weekend was ****, so I've got nothing for you fellas today. Saturday totally ruined me, had no desire to do anything that night but sit around and loathe the whole damn planet.

-Time to knock the dust off the clubs, I suppose. I miss the hell out of competitive golf, so I guess I'll try and qualify for the KY-Am/Open this year. Been way too long since I teed it up in a tournament. I have my work cut out for me to say the very least.

Yeah, 4 final fours and a title in 8 years. It's exhausting being constantly let down by these mixtape divas.

Think how awesome we would be with fundamentals and coaching? Billy Clyde had fundamentals, coaching, and was 5% tougher. Those were the days...

I know we've been spoiled. First to admit it. Doesn't change the fact that we've lost to inferior teams each year in excruciating fashion.

I'm just personally not going to overhype my expectations before the season starts.

The fact that I was relying on a UL women's loss to give me some type of comfort is proof that i'm a bit too wound up right now. Anxiously awaiting socially awkward UL Sheriff's reaction to that loss is a bit unhealthy, even for me.

The frustrating thing about these tourney losses is that, at least to me, they all feel like the result of a meltdown on our part. Horrific shooting, shot clock violations, the stage being too big, people completely disappearing, weird coaching decisions. It just seems like things go awry in some odd way.

Most of the rest of the country only gives a **** about the close game and upsets over the weekend. That give zero ***** about the flow of the game. Basically nothing was said about that Wisconsin flop except for UK and X fans. The only thing the country cared about was the last second shot to win it.

Its just the way it is.

Props to your buddy. Sounds like a hell of a guy.

Indeed, but the chances of me attending a baby shower during a UK Tournament game are 0%. Wouldn't matter who's shower it was, and the *closer* they were to me in life, the more I assume they'd understand -- not that I'd give a **** either way.

They must not *get it* that much if they had a shower during the middle of the Saturday of opening weekend of the NCAAT. What am I missing here?
