Very first time I met these guys Pti was wearing a gorilla costume, 80 was dressed as a 300 lb baby, Jaime was a sexy referee, Anth was a drunk Amish guy, and BBdK was dressed as Meatwad.

:joy:

* I base my preconceptions on what I see & read here. As such, I'm not sure I'd know what BBdK looked like it he wasn't wearing a white tie, or Wodie Sloot without a giant blue fist or PTI(pti) without running gear and a cough, or Doc Boat without a bevy of bikini clad 10's surrounding him.

* Since the Committee started assigning overall #1 seeds in 2004, only 3 of them have won it all: 07 Florida, 12 UK and 13 UofL.

This surprises me.

It also make me more confident that Michigan State rather than KU cuts the nets.

The next thing you know you'll be coaching Little League against each other. Time flies.

- Vandy-Wichita State actually felt like an NCAA Tournament game which is rare for First Four.

- Surprising that a team led by players who have overachieved in March every year beat the **** out of an underachieving crew led by a bad March coach.

- No, Dunk City isn't touching Carolina. No need for articles and PTI segments.

- NIT games are so depressing.

- Rothstein toned it down a bit with Jones, but I still enjoyed him. Guy cracks me up.

- Little League uniforms have certainly gotten a **** ton better in the last 25-30 years.

I'd be able to recognize BRax and BBdK in public because of Twitter. May have had a run in with SAE a time or two when I worked at Hurstbourne CC a few summers ago, not sure though.

I've never really spent much time at Hurstbourne outside of a random round of golf here and there, so I doubt it. Nice place, though.

I know it's been discussed here many times but BTI is really awful. I just can't read more than a few sentences of anything he writes and I just generally scroll on by.

St. Matthews has always been pretty conservative. Not surprised they stay traditional with the unis. Dope Babe Ruth ballpark, though. Actual dugouts. Lights. Adjacent to the malls and chick friendly. All pretty big for the average 11-13 year old.

Those tequila sunrise uniforms are pretty dope. Like 73's kids cleats though. But both teams would have gotten smoked by the Lyndon Lightning, circa 2005. TS

Really liked 73's meme there.

Random's

-I love most of what Jones puts out but he was way off base on UL claiming moral superiority over UK. He is falling to the fallacy that these new UL fans have that they never have been in NCAA trouble. Where in fact they were on probation from 1996-2001 and hit with a post season ban in 1998 for being a repeat offender. Denny was far from a saint.

-Also UL fan claiming the city of Louisville is all their's really grinds my gears and I'm not from the place. Big topic of convo on the super secret text chain this morning.

-The worry I have with the IU game is they have to have it. Crean has to have it. IU fan really does not like him and he needs something to keep going a few more years.

-Not sure how you fix SEC basketball. I guess they could make every visiting team wear a UK jersey. Seems like the only thing that works.

-Really piss poor Vandy performance. Sometimes programs just need a change. 17 years is a long time there to really not have won that much. Vandy can be much much better with SEC money.

-Do not type Allison Brie Get Hard in a work computer.

Still have a closet full of these bad boys back from when I played youth travel ball. Everyone went bonkers over these at tournaments.

Did Shillito go throwback?? Those threads of Bookers are sick.

And did Showkilla call Gregg Marshall the flavor of the month? Come on, man. You're better that that.

If Vegas put the O/U at 4, I'll take the under.

Pyongyang Marathon = bucket list, of course.

I hate being the sexy pick. Would much rather fly under the radar.

Good heavens, it's so gd easy to hate Tom Crean. All time weirdo, alongside Cooper, brudjazz, SmokeyPearl, and that one stalker who actually showed up at a couple of tailgates.

mmharmon paying a visit to the Crescent City next week, and we'll be watching the ponies run at the Louisiana Derby together. Since he's gone incognito, does anyone have a message they'd like me to personally deliver? I've got a whole bunch of "you're a ****" lined up for him.

Trump v Hillary. Mercy. Too late to switch to independent? Is the Whig Party still around? Know Nothings? Federalists??

The bow and arrow is historically great, and I'll even put it ahead of the 3 goggles. More unique and Kentucky-centric, imo.

BBdK, re: reverse blumpkin. YOURE WELCOME.

Any idea why 73 and Booker are wearing baseball cleats in that picture? Thanks.

Coaches turf shoes. All leather and can be cleaned easily. No brainer.

We have to be a little Oregon like with our gear. We are like the 4 out of 6 as far as Little League numbers in the Lexington area. But those are all star threads and not the regular season stuff. We have to use Majestics major league crap for our regular season uni's

And PTI we are Cardinal Run and not Shillito. The old Gardenside LL which is now Western.

Played in the Lyndon rec league from 7-12 years old, then solely on the AAU team for 2 more years. Also umped at St. Matts for about 4 years. Obviously biased, but give me Lyndon. More fields, more teams, better uniforms, and umps get free concessions at Lyndon.:cool2:

I grew up playing at Germantown (T Ball through 12 year old) but got to play one year (Babe Ruth) at St. Matthews. It was just so dope that I have a hard time believing anything is better.

This is probably a DADYERO post but my sons league sent out an email saying all of our teams would just be getting tee shirts this year opposed to the authentic majestic dri-fit stuff they got last year. Makes me furious, imo.

Every time I pick Xavier to win a game in the ncaat I just use the abbreviation X. Feels really cool.

I've never really recognized anyone on this site in public. A few people have recognized me, probably due to my wretched appearance that llama and transy take so much joy in. I recognized geese, doc and fields at GELex right away. Had never seen ucl, jayroon or cricket before. I knew UCL was thin but in my internet vision of him I liked to pretend he was pushing 4 bills and had a giant beard. Total opposite.

Chad, did you play up at Hilltop/Newport Vets back in the day?

My Brewer Roofing team was a collection of players from Dayton, Bellevue and Newport. I miss those days, man.

Dope unis, playing under the lights for a good team and the suicides after the game.

The look of disgust on my Dad's face when I got picked off first, the groans from the crowd when I watched strike 3 with men on 2nd and 3rd, the laughter from the other team's bench when I dropped a fly ball and then fired a strike to our first basemen's sister in the third row. The good ol' days, man.

In Slice's defense back in 2005 73 was a 31-32 year old going to meet up with a bunch of 25-30 year old.

That is a little different than a 22-23 year old meeting up with a bunch of 35-40 year olds.

Little compares to making the trip up to NY when I was younger to play in a tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. Place was a spectacle. 28 miniature big league ball fields, 96 team tournament, opening and closing ceremonies, skills competitions. Teams stayed in individual barracks. Had to be a nightmare for the parents. Remember playing on webcam games and this was around 2006. Saw some absolute freaks at that thing, Delino Deshield's son absolutely raked. Ranks up there with best memories of my life. Me and friends that went still talk about it, fairly frequently too.

Not sure how I feel about the GYERO trend moving away from true randoms to one liners. SAE is obviously the king of this but I certainly miss the old days where everyone dropped a randoms post every morning and the day took off from there. Now the old school regs are pulling the weight with that.

-We're not making fun of your appearance, Rax. You're a much better looking dude than me, and I'm guessing Transy as well. We're just making fun of the goofy faces/poses in those pics. But you're a handsome dude(no UKRob73).

-Speaking of appearances, that dude Isaac from this season of "Top Chef" had a very Willy-esque vibe.

-Funny how random GYERO memories are triggered by convos years later in here. Willy asking Chad where he played Little League reminded me of when GYERO ripped Chad for his post-game Little League snack/drink of choice, but my memory is foggy and the details aren't clear. What was it you hated/never tried, bruh?

-80Proof recognized me by my burrito order at Qdoba circa 2004.

-Not doing a bracket contest at work. Invariably some slapnuts who has watched four games all year wins with his Bracket #4. Kills me every time.

-Speaking of work, some of the women who work here are so obsessed with not getting sick that they're repeatedly spraying the whole place with Lysol, which is burning everyone's eyes and making people cough, so that's great.

-Really miss going to the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp every year with Pops. Kills me when it tips off each year(like it is today) and I'm not down there with him. As Mom's getting worse, he just can't leave her by herself for that long a period of time. I'd like to punch Alzheimer's right in the face.

Yup. Don't know what kind of teams 73/Booker's sons are on, but if you can go, this place is unreal. 90+ teams per week in the summer with about 12 weeks. Have some of my fondest memories from this tournament, including my go ahead home run to beat the #3 overall seeded Tamiami Reds [smoke]

I'm SoCam, bro. My favorite places to play were Camp Springs and Vaters.

Loved Camp Springs.

Used to go there and watch my brothers play in softball tournaments.

I'd go play in the creek when they weren't playing.
