Every formulaic radio-hack on the airwaves... "Let me give you a few upsets to watch out for... I'm not saying it will happen but keep these in mind."

Cut to 12 beating a 5.

"What did I tell you? Didn't I call it? I told you it was gonna happen."

So much pain in the world today.
Too many turds are headin' my way.
But we can press our turds together.
Passing by turds whenever.

Life so full of happiness?
Feel free to mark my words.
But me and you, will my love do
In a world that's full of turds? TURDS!
Llama-judgin' finger-lovin' turds. TURDS!

...and not a single one of their 20 or so "experts" picked UNC.

I admittedly haven't even looked or studied an entire bracket yet. That changes today.

-First Four is great imo, gives you a little taste while waiting for Thursday. Vandy/Wichita should be a good one. Money came FLOODING in on the shockers as soon as the line opened. I guess I get it...experienced guards who want to make one last run -- but I thought that all year too, and they looked pretty poor even when healthy. Vandy has the better team on paper, but they're from the SEC.:weary:

-Have a hall pass this weekend, plan to use it Saturday for all day gambol/games. I'm a free agent, what's everyone doing?

Kentucky was a strong 6th choice at the Calcutta. The Cats were within $60 of costing as much as the other three 4 Seeds combined. Oklahoma was 7th choice. Huge drop after that.

1. Michigan State
2. Kansas
3. Virginia
4. UNC
5. Oregon
6. Kentucky
7. Oklahoma

Only thing that really surprised me was how much was spent to buy a Virginia team that has never made the money round despite having very favorable seeding.

Liked how both Matthews and Hawkins played in the minutes they got. Dont have to put up bug numbers but get in the mix, grab a few boards, defend just a little bit... Matthews didnt even attempt his patented baseline J the entire SECT which is cool.

How pumped is loser Harmon having front row seats for women's tournament basketball for the next month in Lexington?

Dude probably won't even fill out a men's bracket or watch a game. [sick]

<------- 1 bracket.

"Oh, OK, but what is UK ranked right now?"
- "Tenth."

"But they got a four seed. So, then the committee doesn't think they're that good."

- "THIS IS NOT NEW INFORMATION FOR ME!"

-I love the Olympics. What the hell is there to hate?

-The 2 hour time shift from Nashville to Lexington DST is in full force today. Been shying away from caffeine but I may have to break down today. Woke up late and could have kept sleeping through the whole day.

-Rick still yapping on ESPN this morning. Keep it up big guy. I'm sure they're loving it in Indy. His "I'm the real victim here" tour is well under way.

-Started "Flake" on Netflix. I'm still watching 4 episodes in. Going to give it a few more as I'm enjoying it but it's not what I was expecting. It's dark and I thought it would be more comedy with Arnett.

-Fish tacos last night were outstanding.

Speaking of Kara Lawson, did anyone notice her shins on the Bracket Special ? She looked like she had been weed eating her yard right before the show without the line guard on. Her shines had all kinds of scratches and cuts. Really disgusting.

Also that it was pretty weak having the pizza, popcorn, chips, and stuff sitting around as props. Not one damn person even reached for any of it, even during commercial. At the end of the show, all the bowls where still full, pizza box never opened. No, it did not look "cool" with snacks laying around as if you are just having a nice little relaxed gathering, knocking out the brackets.

- Interested to hear BBdK's bracket thoughts.

- There are plenty whose opinions I don't respect at all, but the only CBB writers I truly hate are Pete Thamel/Thayer Evans. F those guys. If they pick UK, I won't like it. Maybe Forde, too.

- I think we win the first game by a dozen or so. After that, I'm expecting wars- win or lose.

- ...which is why it's a good thing we have 3 guys who possess that Clutch Gene in Ulis, Murray and Willis. Plus, Poythress has been known to do some good "little" things in big NCAA games.

- Hard for me to choose anyone but Michigan State as tourney favorite. They have the best player in the country, a terrific tournament coach, some physical bigs and a lot of shooters. Trust them much more than Kansas or UNC.

- Speaking of which...does Kansas have another choke in them this year?

- Is Virginia a bad NCAA team or have they just had the misfortune of drawing unfavorable match-up Michigan State two straight years (now 3)?

Olympics should be a lot better this year since Rio is only an hour ahead of us, prime time events should actually be in prime time. No 6:30 AM start times for basketball games.

Flaked definitely throws a curveball a few episodes in. You think it's going to be a goofy buddy comedy and then it gets kind of heavy. I have one episode left. Nothing special, but I've enjoyed it for the most part.

* I'm competing in a head to head, loser buys pizza bracket with a buddy of mine and he has every #1 seed except UNC going down in round 2, which makes me wonder which of the #1 seeds you guys think is most susceptible to the round 2 upset. Virginia just goes through so many long stretches where they can't score that I don't really understand how their offensive metrics are always so good. I also saw Oregon blow a 4-point lead with 3 seconds to go against Arizona in the Pac-12 semifinals, which is ludicrous, even though they dominated the overtime.

* This may be a thing that annoys only me, but it's about time for ESPN to explain how BPI works. They're treating the intricacies of this formula like the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices. But no formula can explain how Grazonga has a 72% chance of beating Seton Hall when it's a guard's game.

* Poor Paul Rogers having to be a company man on all this "I Got Your Back" stuff, narrating the videos and what not. For such a great, old school announcer, he's probably got to think this is the biggest heap of cock ever.

* Joe Castiglione sounded like a short-circuiting robot when Andy Katz was grilling him on inclusions/exclusions on College Basketball Live yesterday. Something something top 50 wins DIRECTIVE 4.

^Yeah I just finished the episode before what I assume is a big curve. Maybe not best that I watched it right after "Love" which was fantastic.
