Everybody does. Joey is just a total psycho. I feel bad for his wife, ts
Today, I compared myself favorably to Michelangelo so go ahead and feel bad for my coworkers as well.

(We both "deny the work.")

Hot water heater ftw

"Hot water heater" doesn't bother me too much.

The distinction of "hot water" is important enough that throwing its name into the machine that creates is fine by me. (And I say "water heater.")
You can't win for losing on this, BRax.

Just 3 more weeks to walk again, but in a boot, and then 2 weeks after that hopefully like normal. I coach my kids soccer and soon to be basketball so I asked how long for that kind of activity and hopefully 6-8 months. Can't wait!

You'll find out how quickly you forget exactly how to walk. Something you've done your whole life and that first time you put your shoe on and start to walk at PT you stare at them like you're mortified while you try to remember.

It's been 10 years since my rupture so I'm sure things have changed, but when I finished PT, which was several months, I asked how long it would be before I could start running again and they told me a year. I thought they were crazy. They weren't. Every time I went to run, it felt like I was spraining my ankle. I shifted my focus to strength training - all body weight and dumbbells and as much as possible, I did it on mats barefooted so as to strengthen my foot and ankle. Makes a big difference.

Speaking of how the SEC Conference…

Just how bad was it this season?

I may have missed a game here or there, but a quick count has us doing miserably vs the other major conferences…

2-5 vs the Big East (UK 0-0)

0-7 vs the Big Ten (UK 0-1)

6-12 vs the Big Twelve (UK 0-1)

1-6 vs the Pac 12 (UK 1-1)

8-11 vs the ACC (UK 2-0)

----------

17-41 (UK 3-3) [sick][sick]

How many of those are classic SEC West losses vs SEC East? Not that the SEC is overwhelming in basketball by any chance.

Believe Gyero Law, PLLC thought Erin might get her room comped and a cease & desist for Marriot to stop calling her a filthy *****, so this ruling is news.

Yeah, but the Ohio State loss was like 8 months ago before we knew how to play as a team and Murray was still a gunner with no clue how to play off the ball, so that one doesn't count.

Also, the KU loss was a fluke decided by bad officiating and a Tyler Ulis turnover that would never happen again in a billion eons, so that one doesn't count either.

And the UCLA loss was before Willis was inserted into the lineup and also before Skal started being awesome and also before The Tweak (TM) so that one doesn't count either.

So technically, we're 6-0 against other power conferences.

That was the non-practicing side of GYERO Law. I think the side that actually practices thought Marriot might be in trouble with their whole "oh, yeah, you want a room next to a hot female celeb? No prob!" business practice.

$29M from the stalker, $26M from the hotel group. I'm guessing she will be lucky to ever see most of it given follow-on appeals.

At the risk of sounding insensitive, I don't see where the hotel was THAT negligent. It's not like the guy walked up to the front desk and asked to be put next to EA. From what I understood he went to the hotels kitchen, used an employees-only phone, and had the operator patch him thru to EA's room. The operator no doubt thought it was kitchen staff calling about room service or something and put him thru. Her room number showed up on the kitchen phone, so the guy knew exactly what room number to ask for when he went to check in.

She obviously deserved some money, but I don't see (if my version of the facts are right) a shocking amount of negligence on the hotel's part.

"YOU DON'T PAY US UNLESS YOU RECOVER!!!" is just a fancy way of saying "WE WILL TAKE 50% OF WHATEVER YOU RECOVER!!!"

50% of nothing is nothing.

Jury ruled the stalker was 51% responsible for his actions and the hotel group was 49% responsible. Note that the hotel group is not Marriott but instead the franchisee of the Nashville Marriott.

She likely won't get a penny from the stalker. Judgment against him can be discharged in bankruptcy.

Question becomes whether Marriott's carrier wants to appeal, which they probably, if nothing else to use it as a negotiating tool to perhaps offer a lower settlement dollar.

For those of you watching Vinyl, thoughts so far?

I think it's ok, not great, but ok. Love the theme song though.

Vinyl grows on me each episode, doc. I'm still iffy at times, especially with the Dice Clay storyline, but I love the feel/vibe of it. Seems to perfectly capture the 70s even though I didn't arrive on Earth until 1980.

Man, John Calipari sure likes throwing rocks at dogs. Kinda mean, imo. Must be lots of strays in HARBORTOWN NEAR SONIA'S PLACE.

Man, this season we've heard a ton about several mid-majors that were supposed to do damage...

Kay Felder and Oakland... GTFO.
Monmouth and their bench... GTFO?
Alec Peters and Valpo... GTFO.

Joey Brackets says if Gonzaga and the Water Fountain lose to St. Mary's in their conference final tomorrow, they're out too.

Remind me not to get to know any of these teams/players until March next year.
