I mean, IU can't can Crean after winning the Big 10 outright, can they?

He's officially turned the corner and learned not to practice them so hard, etc. per IU guy here at work.

So I guess we pretty much better get used to them dominating from here on out.

So, I guess my snow dreams can just about die this winter. What a poor effort from the snow gods. I don't think we got more than 2" in a storm all season. Weak.

Ullis constantly gets body contact on drives. When Murray does drive the ball he gets hammered. Murray also gets constantly held coming off screens.

The rules this year were suppose to change to consistent freedom of movement. All three of our guards constantly have to fend off hip checks and hand to hand combat.

It is not hard to see.

And Randle and KAT aren't good examples of drawing fouls. It was criminal the whistle they got down low especially Randle.

- Go zone and leave 23 wide open in the corner? Everyone knew it was good before he even got the pass.

- We just foul... and not particularly hard.

UK does not get the benefit of the doubt from the seeding committee, ever. Part of the price we pay of being in a football conference/ishy bball group.

even if we beat LSU & win the SECT we will not go above the 4 seed line. only question is if they will still put us in the Louisville region with Xavier & IU or shift us elsewhere to not 'reward' a 4 and penalize the higher seeds. hoping & rationalizing for better is only gonna needlessly piss you off.

My take on the "new" officiating emphasis was that it was all about freedom of movement- taking away the handchecks and perimeter bullying from teams like Louisville and West Virginia, a la the NBA adjustments of the 2000s, opening things up for great PGs and ball movement. This should aid a team that may not attack the rim but constantly penetrates and attacks the paint.

Instead, we've seen constant weak touch fouls and calls in the paint and on rebounds and we've been on the business end of it at a historic rate. Seriously. Kansas hadn't shot that many FTs in 20 years. We've been out-shot at the line for a record number of games this year.

So, yeah, that overall ****** officiating, along with some specific stuff like Cal being tossed 2 minutes into the game and Humphries' tech have me a lot more pissed off than usual this year.

Impressive win with all the BS last night. Especially Skal, who hours after reading GYERO about how he'd never contribute, comes out and gets 11 and 8. Probably a fluke, but whatever, I'll take it. Will continue to expect nada from him, but hope he can look good enough to bounce.

Really trying not to ***** about the refs, but I can't help it which is why I just logged off last night at halftime. Refs have been clowns all year long. Made the game unwatchable.

Julius Randle went to the line 289 times, thats more than any UK player in the past 17 years and Im not going back any further than that.

Cincinnati-area folk:

The Vestry/Transept in OTR is a really cool spot. Big former church right there on the corner of Washington Park. May be my new favorite bar. Good happy hour specials, too.

And Calipari openly bitched all season that he doesn't know what else Randle has to do to get a fair whistle. He should have shot 100 more.

This was just two seasons ago. Do people have memories?

- Think officiating overall in college basketball is really bad. There's not much consistency and it's laughable how much they are affected by the human nature element of the home crowd.

To be fair, the Cats benefit from this as well at Rupp.

Think part of the problem is that they're are all 1099 independent contractors. The conferences should govern these officials but in essence they can't because they work for themselves bouncing from one conference to the next.

At this point who cares. We will crush LSU on Saturday and it's all neutral settings from here on out.

- Think Murray is fairly good at getting to the line. Ulis is so savvy at knowing how to pick up floor fouls while driving.

- Skal looked great last night. Not saying it will continue but I like Cal's move to start him and get him some jumpers. Kid rebounded well.

We have to nothing to lose with this move bc of lack of post production.

- We have some major flaws but so much of the overall deal is getting healthy and mentally pressing the reset button. The season is such a long grind.

Think by this point Cal and the kids are so ready to be done with this conference crap and get onto the tourney.

Does it have a vestibule at the front door or are we dealing with another Taft Ale House ****-show of an entrance?

It would be more fitting for UofL players to get "I Survived *****-Gate 2015-16" t-shirts and caps just like these idiot rednecks have made around these parts when there's a big drug sweep.

This Traditionalist Worker Party racist group being tied to the incident at the Trump rally yesterday is actually based out of Cincy. Probably one of the more embarrassing things i've seen in awhile.

The Louisville BOT attempted coup to get rid of Ramsey and replace him with Matt Barzum is an interesting angle. While it may be more interesting for us as UK fans to sit and watch it linger on until a complete collapse- we are talking about the largest and most financially relevant city in the state- and its public higher education institution needs someone to clean things up while maintaining the financial momentum theyve made under Ramsey. Not sure if the Ambassador to the United Kingdom is the right guy, especially since he's a Brown Forman family member and they desperately need to get themselves outside of the existing louisville freakish sub culture and think more nationally. /education rant

Also would love 10+ years down the road for one of these rings to come into Pawn Stars and have an expert explain their significance and whores and have Rick say "I can give the value of the gold but no more, you have a nice story about whores but it doesn't give this ring any value. You got to look at it from my side. I have an IU Sweet 16 ring we haven't been able to sell for 15 years."

No pics of the rednecks but Booker can probably vouch from being around Bardstown. The "I survived Nelson Co. Drugbust 1993, 97, 03," whatever is really prevalent in these parts.

our football team going to Birmingham or Nashville for a bowl is more ring worthy than playing out the string on a scandal tourney-banned team

Talking to reporters, Hughes echoed Ramsey’s thoughts about those trustees who supported the no-confidence vote, saying those members don’t care about U of L, did not go to the university, and would never let their children go to the university.

^ Always find that angle amusing... "Would you send your kid here?" Well the typical BOT member at [insert any major state school] is a very well-to-do individual who has likely received an elitist education at one of the creme de la creme academic schools in the country, if not the world. Of course there are some "homer" members mixed in there too so someone can post pictures on the team planes and courtside. But the role of a BOT member is to govern an institution from a fiscal, academic, and PR angle to make them as competitive and attractive as possible. It's not to be a collection of fan boy yes men. And where they send their children to college certainly has no bearing on their ability to determine that James Ramsey is a crook.

I find it ironic that the players who received rings saying LOUISVILLE FIRST on the side did not, in fact, play at Louisville first.

Drexel and Cleveland State really struggled this year after their star players bolted for the promise of whores and "health care" (if they happen to slip one past the goalie) and the bright lights of the ACC.

Do their former teammates at Drexel and Cleveland State think Lee and Lewis had their backs or do they feel as if they were bent over a restaurant table and sent off to marry a glorified equipment manager?

How can UofL celebrate whatever the hell they are celebrating when Louisville native American Gladiator Hawk has died?
