Drew Franklin's Bourbon Classic weekend recap sounds like about as good as you could possibly ever do it...

I had to work this week, was gonna go Saturday but the lass ended up having to work the weekend. Yeah it looks fantastic, will have to try and coordinate better next year. Some of the best events were the dinners they had during the week.

Imagine Drew got comped to write a story about it, sucker certainly isn't cheap.

^ pretty long read, but sounded amazing.

-So, today is a big day for me personally -----> Marks my 7 year anniversary here, which means I'm now vested in my Book of business. Huge deal for any captive agent, been a long road. Hard to believe I've been here 7 years already, but has been worth it for sure. [cheers]

Not everyone can take off work at 3pm.
Tells me he'll let me know if he's in by afternoon, then doesn't respond to any of my emails/texts thereafter.

Ha. You texted me at 5:52pm. Didn't hear from you otherwise. Told you I was 50/50 until I heard from my friend (at 6:30pm). Had my gear in my truck ready to go. But he had to get his daughter and her friends at Assumption, so that changed everything.

Learn kids. **** changes by the minute.

Yeah, Purdue guy is 27 and a former Marine. And, of course, he sprints down the floor every possession. I have to stay out top most times so I can get a head start on him. That's why I had to sit a game. I felt like I ran a bunch of suicides.

Welcome to town BRax. If you're looking for a decent meal I recommend Texas Roadhouse. Get the sirloin. I apologize in advance for our Canes being placed in the two opposite corners of the city if you're looking for something quick.

HAPPY MARCH ([banana][jumpingsmile]:basketball::grimace::clap::pray::fire::boom::eek:) Shorts:

- I mean, it's March! Greatest month of them all. Let's get after it.

- :joy: @ John Oliver's Trump (Drumpf) takedown Sunday night. That redcoat cracks me up.

- There was definitely some tension between Jones/Tucker but both seem like good dudes overall.

- With that said, this "using athlete/coaches' first names by sports media" epidemic is out of control! It's not just slapdicks like Parrish either. Bill Simmons and his guests routinely do **** like refer to Chris Paul as "Chris." Jones dropped an "Anthony" when talking about Davis and Tucker went "Shannon" referring to Dawson. I'm not talking about guys with unique/iconic first names here like Kobe, Shaq or LeBron.

I have no clue why this bothers me so much.

- Is there any, even a slight chance either of these things happen:

a) Cal has another rabbit in his hat and somehow Labissierre makes a mini-leap in the postseason?

b) Labissiere returns next year.

- Murray's stock is exploding- up to #4 on Chad Ford's big board. Not surprising with the Curry/Thompson phenomenon and Booker's rookie year. Great time to be a deadeye.

- I can't get enough of Melodramatic Rick. :joy:

- Oh, and keep throwing McGee under the bus, you idiot. Keep pushing him.

- Virginia/Villanova had great metrics last year, too. Virginia, especially, has a system made for calculus love. But, really, who the hell knows this year.

- I'd say Michigan State/Kansas have to be the favorites, but I don't trust either. Hell, took them 24 more FTs and Murray's worst game in a month-and-a-half to beat us in their crib.

- I'm just going nuts with my bracket this year. I'm sure Baldwin will have four 1-seeds in the F4 per usual.

- Good to see JoeBonzo back dropping randos. It's March. All hands on deck in GYERO.

- Just thinking out loud here... @B.B.d.K.- what are your plans Saturday?

-North Carolina just has the feel of a second round flame out. They constantly struggle to stay dialed in and Paige is basically Briscoe the last two months. Dude is brick layer these days.

-Speaking of brick laying... going all in on building one of these before our daughters 1st birthday in June. Can't wait actually. Should pair nice with our massive deck and 70" inch TV with recently added surround sound [cheers]

-Nothing is surprising anymore that comes out of that cesspool on Floyd Street. It is obvious that it has been a racket for over a decade. When the compliance officer is told he is too passionate about his job...[laughing]

-Not sure there is anything more annoying than Hens BEGGING for votes on fbook to win tickets/contests for their kids. NOGAF.

- March 1st :sunglasses:

A) No
B) No

I like Joey trying to make "Get real" happen. "Learn" has run its course, as do most things when non funny posters drill it into the ground. Personally, I prefer "get serious" or "grow up"

Do we even want Skal to come back? I say sure- what would be the downside? But expecting a resemblance of Anthony Davis and getting something that wasnt even equal to Marvin Stone (the dead version) will take a fan base some time to get over.

Packing to skip SECT. 5:30am flight Sunday morning.

Considering heading down & back for the LSU game, we'll see.

Come down for an NCAAT day, I'm sitting that out this year as well as it stands now....we can make a day of it, old school style.

LOL. Was wondering if Murray was still a "tweener" and late first round pick...

Care to elaborate Joshie? Should have retired with Kyle Lowry, as I've said before.

Logic should dictate that Skal needs to show some semblance of understanding the game of basketball before someone takes him first round but you know. #UPSIDE

Our defense has fallen off the map? I don't think it has ever been on the map all year. I don't need Ken Pomeroy to tell me that. It's just terrible.

If it's not us this year, I'm throwing my hat in on the Cavaliers. Non-threat to become a blueblood. Highly doubtful to sustain Decent enough coach that straight up wasn't afraid to tell Coach K to his face that Grayson Allen walked for the game winner in Durham. Louisville's new ACC dance partner, so getting under the locals skin is a plus.

But Virginia can't score enough and their team was much better last year, even with an injured Anderson in March. Plus they are dogshit outside of Charlottesville, so likely another first weekend exit for the Wahoos.

I totally get the NBA draft, and argue FOR guys all the time who have no business declaring from a 'ready' standpoint.

...but Skal, man. He's a tough one.

He HAS to go with a 1st Rd guarantee imo...the more he stays in college, the more he could potentially be exposed. Of course, he could also blossom.

He won't seen an NBA court for 5 years if he goes though, I'm afraid.

Nazr Mohammed was pretty awful as a Freshman, and stayed at UK for 3 seasons, improved his game, and then lasted in the NBA for almost 15 seasons.

So it can happen for a big man, if he works hard and does work.

Super positive optimistic Tuesday Randos:

-If Skal is a 1st Rounder he has to go. I don't think it would happen but if he came back next year and didn't improve he'd be done. Plus, no way his people have him come back another year, they want that $$.

-MARCH!! [banana]:cool2:[jumpingsmile][cheers]:pimp::D
-Eat a bag, get pumped and DIAF Winter.
-Dropped the whip off at the bike shop yesterday for a preseason tune up.
-Mid 70's for the SECT.
-March Madness
-Time change and 8-9p sunsets right around the corner.
What a time...

-Maybe the best night of sleep I've had in the last 10 months. TS.

-Lunch meeting at O'Charley's canceled. Perusing their menu yesterday and it's unreal. If you can get out of there under 800-1000 calories you're a better person than I am. Hate wasting that much on crap food. Oh well, it's off the schedule.

lulz Murray has transformed his game from NBA auditioning combo guard 'tweener' wanna be (which he was, and BBdK admitted as much) to elite,shot-hunting sniper 2G. He'll def be drafted Top 10 at this rate. So barring a complete meltdown on Murray's end re: private workouts, I will be proved wrong so eff the doubling down ****. I'll own it. He's come a long way in a few short months. Cal has done a great job w/ him. I just didn't see it early and made a knee-jerk call.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

Ha, I have one today at Chili's. They suggested Applebee's and O'Charley's as other options.

No clue what those places put in their food, but you can eat a Cheeseburger from a steakhouse and get out better than you can with a grilled chicken sandwich at those places.

<--- down 17 since Jan 1. :100points: I'm coming for you, Dodson.
