Re: Meow...it sucks, but she supports it. IF I was ever going to make a change, now is the time to do it. I'm 31, single-ish, and don't really want to live in NC forever. This opens a lot of doors for me, she knows that.

Not pictured, the dude grabbing some popcorn from a fan and shoving it in his mouth as he jogged to the locker room.

That swat tho...[laughing]

Would imagine it's all Huskers football all the time.

-Don't know you off the board, but good luck out there, Tommy.

Tommy - get you a gold membership and hit up the Main Board for recs. Lots of Omaha folks/Nebraska fans on there. I loved moving places where I didn't know anybody or anything about the area.

Gotta ask though - what happens if they legalize casino gambling in the near future?

Yep. Good luck and Thank You for Smoking.

- Speaking of changes. Part of the reason I came back to Jax is a guy that once worked for me started his own business. Fast-forward 2 years and the business has blown up tenfold of estimates so sitting down on Friday to finalize a deal to join them. Absolutely dreading telling my boss because I'm only 6 months into this O/S gig. But, he's honestly one of the nicest and most easy-going people I've ever known and he will benefit from this, too.

They vote on it in July (which is why I have to be there in a week)...VERY good for me if it passes as far as bonuses (polling at 60/40 in favor right now), but my job is with the lobbying firm...not the gaming board, would move on to the next cause. This is just the first client I'll be working with.

Part of me wants to believe that Trump just plays this persona in public to sensationalize things...and its been absolutely effective. But behind closed doors, he's actually a reasonable and intelligent human being. I mean, if he's such a crazy f#ck, how did he get so successful?

The old fashioned way. He inherited it. He was born to a multi-millionaire (billionaire?) real estate mogul, Fred Trump. Pretty sure there are some studies out there that Trump would be richer if he'd just taken his inheritance and put in an index fund. Oh, and he greatly exaggerates his wealth, that's added several billion to his net worth.

If you took two kids with the same test scores, grades, extracurriculars, etc...but one was from Snottsville Prep and the other a public high school, yeah I'd say Wellington is getting into the Ivy league. Lot to do with connections, letters of recommendation, whether parents were alums...and if they will become donors.

Correct, everything you said is true. A legacy from public or private is probably going to get in, even with mediocre scores. But also, those prep schools (the good ones) also are 100% focused on that stuff with much better guidance counselors, all of whom are very familiar with the admissions practices and even admissions staff at top schools. They help with essays, and all that crap. You think Gary Martin at HC had a clue when it came to Ivy league applications? Nope. So the schools have much better connections, not just the parents. You're basically paying for the connections/expertise.

Yup. Think I saw old Gary for a total of 10 minutes in 4 years. Real game changer.

As a former Yum employee, the international jobs have always been in Texas since the spin-off from Pepsi in the mid-90s and even with the upcoming China spin-off it has increasingly become more of an international company. Makes sense for the bigwigs to be in Dallas given the whole flight situation. Dont think Louisville will lose much in the way of jobs with a headquarters change, but losing another fortune 500 company would be a bad look for the city.

Per Wikipedia

Net worth

Unlike other political candidates, Trump has never verified his wealth or income claims with the release of tax returns;[97] "I try to pay as little tax as possible ... It's a little tax", Trump told an interviewer in January 2016, while claiming to file "big returns".[98] Former GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is among those who have questioned Trump's purported wealth and his failure to release his tax returns, suggesting Trump might be wary of revealing a potential "bombshell".[99][100] In April 2011, amidst speculation whether Trump would run as a candidate in the U.S. presidential election of 2012, Politico quoted unnamed sources close to him stating that, if Trump should decide to run for president, he would file "financial disclosure statements that [would] show his net worth [was] in excess of $7 billion with more than $250 million of cash, and very little debt".[101] (Presidential candidates are expected to disclose their finances after announcing their intentions to run.) Although Trump did not run as a candidate in the 2012 elections, his "professionally prepared" 2012 financial disclosure was published in his book which claimed a $7 billion net worth.

Also says estimates have been made from many, from Bloomberg to Forbes, that estimates range from $1.9 Billion all the way up to 9 billion.

if things play out like they should Xavier/Nova should play for the conference championship with both in play for a #1. I'd be more afraid of Xavier, but to think of a scenario where KU, OU or UNC is a 2 seed because of said scenario only makes me wonder which one we will face in the sweet 16 because it will be us that gets tha draw.

sch. I think he probably gets on well with KGar based on their approach and sense of relative importance

False, bag of dicks -> eat them all

Never even hinted at a "relative importance", just a fan who made something pretty cool happen for himself and enjoys the **** out of it, which apparently rubs miserable people the wrong way, congrats

Anyone that's been cool with me, it's been reciprocated 100%, TS.

Solid UT scuttlebutt: the girl that AJ Johnson and the other dude assaulted/raped was apparently someone with a reputation for jersey chasing so EVERYONE took AJ Johnson's side that she was lying/FOS, the whole team turned on Drae Bowls for "turning in" AJ, ergo Butch coming at him with the Traitor angle, him getting beat up, etc... Bowles also did not dress the next game because the teams "leaders" refused to allow a traitor to

Now that it may have actually been a rape/assault plus all the other bad stuff that's went down, their isn't s big enough egg in the world for their collective faces. This is going to get ugly cause two more girls have entered into the lawsuit

-Saw Deadpool on Tuesday night so I DVR'd the game. Hate to beat a dead horse, but man alive it's hard not to feel confident about March when you know you've got Ulis/Murray leading the way. Those guys just make me feel at such ease when the ball is in their hands. Tournament time is going to be fun, folks.

-Deadpool was phenomenal. Hilarious, not your typical corny, cliche superhero film. Incredible production and killer soundtrack.

-Never really paid much attention to Spake until I started posting. But man, GYERO has made me a big time fan. I mean she is :fire::fire::eek:kay::fire:. Definitely wouldn't mind letting her show me a few things between the sheets IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN HAHA.

-Bowling Green this weekend. I'm 2 for 2 on getting thrown out of a bar there this year. Hopefully will have some good weekend #scuttlebutt for you guys come Mondee.

-KGar, you don't get ragged on b/c you're doing something people are jealous of, you get ragged on because you're thin skinned and arrogant since you started blogging. TS, coming from a buddy. Lighten up hoss. You're still KGar to us, not Keith Garrett UK Sports Media.

-A 2-4 in Nova or Xavier Brackets is essentially a 1. Thankfully only 1 will get the 1. Man, give us the 3 with one of those on the 2 line. Not sold. At all.

-Has anyone suggested making center point a giant ball pit?
