Advanced analytics backing up the opinion that Tyler Ulis should be a 1st team All-American. #BBN

It sounds like GYERO has solved the "how do we help Eastern KY" issue that occasionally crops up. Wellington needs to move to Appalachia instead of boarding school for his last year or two of high school before applying to all of the best colleges.

Even in the last few weeks, most of the conversation has been how great Ulis has been (and he has), but during those weeks Murray has been on one of the great runs of scoring and efficiency we have seen ever at this school...especially by a guard
This is totally correct, and I think it's funny because Ulis isn't getting 10 assists or whatever he's averaging during this stretch without Murray hemmoraging buckets, and Murray isn't averaging that 25+ ppg during that stretch without the pressure Ulis puts on the defense and the looks it gives him. It's a symbiotic relationship, the two guys fit perfectly together, and you're right to draw attention to that fact.

We're watching one of the best all-time guard tandems ever to play at Kentucky-- maybe THE best. And it's because those two pieces just belong together. Ulis lives to see his teammates score, and Murray lives to score. Match made in heaven.

Hey, @MattJonesKSR , as long as you're here, how about unblocking me on Twitter so I don't have to keep checking my alternate account when there's scuttlebutt. I made a joke about a year ago now. Haven't said a bad word about you since, and wouldn't. Listen to and enjoy the show, etc. I'll keep your name out of my mouth and mind my manners. @JHammon67 Please and Thank you.

Dawson is a UK grad, so I find that hard to believe (re: UNC fandom).

Perhaps he was just shitting with you because of your cute white choker and didn't want to interact with you.

Nope. My college roommate and cousin were both writers and then later sports editors with the Kernel so I know all of those guys a little. It actually pissed me off at the time- a UNC fan being the sports editor of the UK student paper. I don't think he was passionate about them, but he's obviously not passionate about the Cats either.

Learn sportswriters.

The screen grab of UCL's "Redass, brought to you by REDASS" was only used twice this year and honestly in mid-December I wouldve thought it would need to be posted a lot more.

What a weird touching year. Players setting record numbers, a bumpkin emerging as a legit offensive option, one of the biggest busts in recruiting history, dancing man pile-driving that child, injuries in the backcourt/frontcourt/and on the wing. Mix all that in a big ol pot with the scuttlebutt down the road and this year has flown by in the blink of an eye.

It's amazing. I'm still waiting for Skal to come around in mind then realize March is next week. No season flies by like CBB season.

Is it actually possible that the Murray we are seeing now is a better fit than Booker would of been this season? I'm still saying No but it is closer than I thought possible.

February is the worst month. And the further north you move the worse it gets. February can die in all the fires.

That would be a tough one. Would still take Booker, but I don't know. Murray has actually been much more consistent. Both are suspect on D.

I was at a high school basketball game last week featuring two of the previously discussed Jefferson county public institutions of learning. One of the players did the forearm cock straight into a Cam Newton dab each time he hit a 3. Rascal!

It's been said a million times, but man, Dakari sure **** the bed leaving after last year. Of course, he'd be missing out on this irreplacable experience...

- So everything is official. Moving to Nebraska a week from today. Too good of an opportunity to pass up. Will be working for a lobbying firm, giving speeches across the state pointing out the tax benefits of legalized gaming.

- Much more pay, furnished apartment in downtown Omaha, and company car...plus no more dealing with academia.

- Yeah, I know...Omaha, wtf? It's actually about twice the size of the city I live in now though. Bonus for a popping craft beer scene.

- WCC, those pope posts come up on my "on this day" on Facebook everyday now...some of my better work on The Book.

Been expected for awhile. Once Novak stepped down, yea, see ya, River City. The rest of Yum will follow suit soon enough.

They're probably on the same flights out as the Toyota folks from Erlanger.

It's fine though- the executives from the Noah's Ark theme park will fill the voids in both communities.

Good for you, buddy. I really don't have a clue about Omaha. Would imagine it's all Huskers football all the time.

Good luck Tommy, it's not easy to move to a completely strange city, by yourself, where you know virtually no one and start a new job. Seriously, good luck.

Yeah. Granted, my experience there was skewed, but that town seemed pretty Bluejay-centric. They can pretty routinely fill a 17,000 seat arena for a team that's only occasionally great.

But their fans did do that "Aww-shucks we're just good 'ole midwesterns, doncha know..." fake good-sport bullsh*t... until the game started. Then they were out for blood... which is fine, but I prefer the "we're just going to be straight ******** to you from the get-go" method. Feels more honest.

You're not the first person to move to the Heartland, sight unseen.
