It's strange - for any other player, getting ten assists (or more) would be headline news. I almost expect it out of Ulis now. It's almost a bigger lock than Murray not passing on a 2-on-1.
Jamal Murray with 14 shots last night for his 23. KSR spent half the show today trying to figure out why Jamal Murray has been flying under the radar all year from a historic perspective. He's putting up historic numbers, but his year hasn't been talked about as one of the great seasons for a Kentucky player. The reason is because BBN knows a chucker when it sees one. We know efficiency. Certainly better than the average fan. We know when you're rising and firing at will as Ohio State smokes us and when you're dissecting an opponent and making their life hell.
He's getting all the recognition he deserves over the last few weeks because he's only been doing it for the last few weeks.
No clue why he constantly tries to interject himself in the big boy conversations, he looks like a fool each & every time.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. 23 points on 14 shots is good.

Murray's been good all year and has finally figured it out and is great. He does deserve more credit. Ulis is stealing it all right now, though- deservedly.
If I could switch the conversation to Lexington for a moment, I had no idea so many there sent their kids to Virgina & New England boarding schools until a few years ago (Lexington wife informed me). I mean, that still blows my mind a bit...
It's cool, I just couldn't imagine not wanting your teenage kid at home.

And he gets no play for his rebounding which is basically the same as Briscoe's. Dude is averaging 5 a game.I'm saying it's good. If you look at his shot attempts and his overall efficiency during the first couple of months versus lately, he's a completely different player. Especially in our worst losses, he was taking 23-24 shots sometimes. Also, from the start of the season through the Auburn game, he was averaging 3 turnovers a game, mainly playing off the ball, and that includes the early season games where defenses shouldn't have been as good.
From the first Tennessee game to the present? He's averaging 1.5 TO's per game. Literally cut them in half while raising his scoring. His scoring from beginning of the year to Auburn: 17.7ppg. From first Tennessee until now, it's 25.4ppg. He's become twice as efficient while scoring about 8ppg more. That shouldn't really be possible. That's ridiculous.
It's easy to focus on Murray's point totals because they're phenomenal, but while his scoring has gone up, it's how he's done it that has been most important. Fewer turnovers, higher shooting percentages, all while scoring more.
Rowland is absolutely atrocious.
Wonder if Brett Dawson sits around in his little 1BR apt down in NOLA thinking WTF did I get myself into? Freelancing for one of the more disappointing teams in the NBA and leaving the mecca of CBB and one of the most polarizing/quotable coaches in the country. Dude *loves* the NBA so I get that is prolly his dream... but still.
Odds of getting into an Ivy or top 25 school from one of the boarding schools is much better than from HC, Dunbar, TC or Lex Cath.
Nothing worse than an amateurish podcast imo.
Murray scored a LOT of his points in garbage time earlier in the year...he'd be playing poorly but still end up with 20 points, few of which game in actual important game time in many games -- that was my biggest beef.
That is long gone.
Underrated in terms of getting into college/law school/etc. => being from Bumtouch, Eastern Kentucky.
