Since I'm Such a Big College Basketball, More Thoughts on Duke-UNC:

- Odds UKO is a Duke fan by October: OVER

- We would kill UNC off the bounce and I think we'd contain their perimeter players rather easily. Brice Johnson would be a problem, of course.

- Roy is still coaching like it's 2002 with his two post lineup. UK did it last year, but one of our bigs could guard PGs and the other was K-A Towns.

- Loved how Duke kept probing until they found a mismatch (usually whoever was guarding Ingram) and then attacked.

- Duke will be interesting in the Dance. Their D is awful, but they have three absolute studs who can score on anybody in Ingram, Allen and Kennard.

- I hate Allen, but kid is grittier than the typical Duke junp-shooting honk. He attacks the basket. That won't work against UK (you saw what happened) but it will against most guards.

- I've been right about Carolina all year. :100points::lock::pray:

We are the Tennessee and Auburn losses from a one seed, the Yum Center and a clear path to the Final Four with one of the weakest fields in NCAA history. Maddening.

On the flip side, those losses probably brought this team together, and let them experience some adversity. Team has done a 180 in the past few weeks. Better attitudes and effort.

That could be true. Glass half full, if we don't stumble from here out, we draw the weakest one seed, have an outside chance at Yum (I am skeptical the NCAA would do that to a one seed) and will have more of a chip on our shoulder and less of a target.

If we keep rolling there is still an outside chance we can grab a # 1. There are a lot of losses out there still for teams projected or around a # 1 seed

It's fun seeing Carolina dealing with their own Tubby. Nobody gave UK fans more hell for "running Tubby out of town."

Watched a documentary last night about National Lampoon and it was kind of meh. Then I fell asleep on the couch. Typical wild night at the UCL household.

Not sure if this article was posted before. And @BlueDevilicious is worth a follow. It's amazing that there's so much more that has gone on at UNC than what is already known. I just hope Roy is still at UNC when this finally comes crashing down on them.

Last fall, the university, responding to public records requests, released several hundred thousand pages of emails that had comprised some of the evidence for the Wainstein report. A Twitter user named Ted Tatos — his Twitter handle is @BlueDevilicious, and yes, he went to Duke — began poring though the emails, tweeting out the most egregious ones on practically a daily basis. He has recently been focusing on the improbably high number of diagnoses of learning disabilities among North Carolina athletes — allowing them to receive special accommodations. Hundreds of thousands of additional emails have yet to be released, meaning that the drip-drip-drip of embarrassing disclosures is far from over.

Jefferson being out has been an underrated part of Duke's struggles...their toughest player & defender. If Jones is out going forward, that's also huge for them, despite last night...he's the only perimeter defender they have.

-Marcus Paige is a good player, but he's gotten no better since his soph year. Preseason AA each of the last 2 years, and hasn't really lived up. Their guards went completely brain-dead last night..."took" over a game in which they weren't even needed, and lost it.

-3 straight Top 25 wins for Tubby, a first in TT history. Happy to see him doing well & back in the tournament.

-Kennard is so fun to watch...had he come here, he'd be an all time fan favorite. Alas, he did not -- but I still love him as a player.

-Sucks A&M isn't ranked when we head out there.

Not that I feel bad for UL, I mean they made their bed with whores and now they can lie in it with whores, but man if I was a #LouisvilleMan I'd be out of my ever loving mind watching UNC take a #1 seed with all of this crap still out there.

Miami Valley scuttlebutt says it was good for Kennard to go further from home than Lexington. So I've been able to make peace with the situation.

Btw, IC is in full Roy meltdown mode. [jumpingsmile]

Looks like Peegs after an IU loss, tbh.

- Paige is one of those guys who looks good even when he sucks. I think it's the lefty thing. But when you've been "slumping" for two years, maybe you just suck. And he's a marginal defender at best.

- Yeah, me too. Nice work, Tubby.

- Hate the kid, but love his game. Get used to hating him, though, because you've got two more years at least of optimal Dookie Hate coming. He's like a left-handed Chris Kingsbury. PURE stroke.

:cool2: UKO started a "eat crow" thread for UNC fans after they sweated out the win over 0-11-in-the-ACC Boston College last week. That went over well.

NCAA would absolutely do it to a 1 seed. Done it to UK multiple times - even as the overall #1 seed. Would they do it, if it actually helped UK? Very doubtful.

Since this year is such a **** show we are going to have even more head scratching seedings than usual. Cause you can make case against pretty much everyone. Even consensus #1 Nova has only played 3 top 25 RPI teams, and lost badly to the two who aren't in the BE.

-Paige, like many many UNC players before him, shoulda bounced after his freshman or sophomore year. Done nothing to help his draft stock since, probably hurting it. Think Roy holding players back from the NBA has hurt his recruiting more than the scandal.

-What family member do they hire once Roy is forced out?

Especially loved Roy's "I've never cared how many points we give up, as long as we score more" quote heading into halftime last night.

They certainly play like it, and have for years now.

95% of his posts over there are UK-related. The rest are ridiculous crap like that.

I'm telling you- I bet he turns into a Duke fan by late '16.

A day after telling HOFCRP that the he was willing to give up his minutes for the future of the team... Damien Lee did sacrifice some time on the court. He only played 39 of 40 minutes. Deng Adel, who needs these crucial minutes so that L1C4 can build for the future, logged 4 minutes. He did not attempt a FG or a FTA, thus he was unable to score any crips.
