I think we called them poor.

-Sky's the Limit video is up there...so well done. The little Puff Daddy is :fire:. Good job, Clark, you're always surprising me.

St. John's Bizzay :fire::fire::fire:

Even the CC kids rocked some JC Penney on occasion...flagship store in the Parkway Plaza Mall. #Madisonville.

Young's, our one decent private store only had a limited selection of Duck Head, after all.

Flea Market Tommy Hilfiger shirts were huge in the the late 90's at Russell County Middle School. We were pretty poor but I still thought those were lame. I was happy with the 2 or 3 real ones I got for Christmas.

I saw a kid wear a t-shirt that said ABORCROMBIE. I never said anything, but I was thinking it.

And I was poor so it was okay to think that about my fellow peasants.

Let's be honest, if you were looking down on other kids for the brand of clothes they wore, you were an *******.

For 99.9% of us, it's not like you did anything to afford those fancy brands. Bunch of entitled, spoiled brats.

I remember buddies. Nickname for any non-brand. I think 73 is pretty close. It was 4th grade when I started caring about that stuff.

That's pretty badass seeing the B-1 bomber and Jdams with UK stuff on it going to blow up ISIS.

Odds muslim students protest to the University?

I wear a lot of Russell athletic (it's really good I promise!) from Walmart but I try to make sure my kids are wearing under armour every day. Don't want the other parents to know what a horrible failure loser I am.

Never called them Buddies but that is what my FIL calls them.

There was a sketch on The State I think that featured a knock off brand called Adidams. Extra stripe my friend.

Guarantee DocBoat ripped on the poors as a 10-12 yr old.

I think the main knockoff brand now is the C9 Target brand stuff. It's not the worst stuff in the world, but if my mom brought it home I probably wasn't going to wear it.

That stuff. It was acceptable to wear on a run in the neighborhood or something, but to school? Pretty much no chance.

I wouldn't say we were poor, but firmly in the middle class when I was growing up. Didn't make a bit of difference to my tight *** dad, it was k-mart or buy it myself for me. Spaulding shoes, faded glory shirts, crappy wrangler pants, Stafford dress clothes.

Probably why I give close to NF's about clothes now.

jordashe shoes were Jordan knock offs back when I lived in PRP. I always had plain Nike's until the red/black Jordan's with the 23 on the heel. At the time I think they were $120 and my parents tried passing off jordashe as an option.

Of course I didn't get my first pair of Jordan's until we moved from PRP because kids got jumped for shoes and starter coats.

I had the Hakeem's. :flushed:

First shoes I ever truly fell in love with were the Agassi Huraches or whatever. Or the 'triangle' Jordan 4's, iirc.

All time fav were the first Air Max tho. :fire::fire::fire:

Realize that "smear the *****" is probably not a "politically correct" game these days, have they renamed it?

Tackle the person with the ball just sounds kind of boring.

They call it "kill the man" or "kill the guy." Madden talked about Tomlinson playing it as a kid on MNF once, but we all knew what he was talking about.

I explained it to some French friends on an NFL Sunday once. No matter how you slice it, it does not translate as anything but politically incorrect.

Hey ESPN, quit with this experimental court side camera angle in Columbus!

Why do they occasionally feel the need to tinker with the viewpoint in CBB? The traditional shot at midcourt works, no need to screw with it.

Whomever ok'd it needs to commit seppuku.

Part of my job at Centre is spotting for stats at men's and women's basketball games, which means sitting at the end of the scorer's table. Probably 8-9 times per game either a referee or a coach will stand directly in front of me and I won't be able to call a shot or an assist. By far the most frustrating part of an otherwise sweet gig.

And then I turn it to ESPN and it's like "Kids, you noticing all this sports information plight?"

Hey there fellas - I have the good fortune of 5 crisp Benjamin franklins to follow the American Dream with and was wondering if any of you had any strike it rich quick investment opportunities for me? Preferably involving stock options in companies that specialize in jean shorts? Man I love those things.....

-Uhh, yeah -- I'm on USC too. Figured after our humbling gift and them playing the worst team in the world afterwards...#SECGambol for you. Feel like an idiot every time I attempt.

I took Texas.

Hoping USC halftime line is decent, and I'm taking Baylor.

I pretty much just take every lower ranked favorite there is. Add to that lines where a should be large favorite is on the road and only giving like 2-4 pts which I take the points every time as well.

It's not easy and I usually don't like the confirm button, but I've been winning.
