Does this mean we aren't meeting Saturday? Because there is a very good chance I am going to punch you in the spleen just to see what happens. Nothing personal, its for science, man. I still love ya.

I guess they didn't know about this enlarged spleen thing back in 1986? I missed the 1st week of basketball practice suffering from mono in 8th grade just because of the fatigue and general sickness. As soon as I was able to get back on the court, I was. Lucky to be alive, I guess. Shew wee.

Infectious mononucleosis is common among young adults and teenagers with an incidence of 345–671 cases per 100,000 population per year.1 It is caused by an infection with the Epstein Barr virus with a triad of fever, sore throat and cervical lymphadenopathy. Majority of patients will have asymptomatic splenomegaly. Splenomegaly is caused by the proliferation of mononuclear cells in the spleen as reaction from Epstein Barr virus infection. However, spontaneous rupture or atraumatic rupture of spleen secondary to infectious mononucleosis is rare with an estimation of 0.06% to 0.5% and it is the most frequent cause of death in infectious mononucleosis.

Wife just came home with a pair of terrible generic sweatpants for 05. I cringed.

"He's 10 years old, and he can't have terrible gear. He's not 08. You don't want to be the kid with buddies on the the playground."
"What in the hell are buddies?"
"Really? Buddies...terrible off brand tennis shoes, etc."
"Never heard that term in my life."
"Yes you have. Don't be ridiculous."
"Not in Michigan. That's just stupid. And my kids don't need labels."
"Yeah, well...that's fine and all. But you don't want to be the kid with buddies. Trust me."
"Well, I need to check with my Facebook hens...buddies!!!!???!!!"
""

The Under Armour kids stuff is higher quality than the Nike stuff IMO.

Still give Nike the slight edge on therma-fit sweat shirts but that's about it.

My 14 year-old was dying for these Dwyane Wade Li-Nings brand shoes ("Veteran's Day" model) - and got them - for his birthday, yesterday. Says they're the most comfortable shoe he's ever worn.

You most def didn't want to be wearing buddies.

But we only called generic shoes "buddies."

Never gave a second thought to what kind of sweats somebody was wearing. Half the kids on the courts were playing in jeans. I was just happy they were wearing pants at all. Tough times on the mean streets of D-Town, Kay Why. Yessir.

I'm sewing tigers on my shirt and alligators. Ya wanna see the inside, huh, I see ya later

Touching story about a poor youth who gained respect from his peers by robbing them. Now he gets mad respect while wearing OshKosh and Nike.

You can get a pair of Adidas sweatpants at TJ Maxx for $10. $15-20 for Nike stuff at the outlet. Or $15-20 at the UA outlet.

But hey, the $13 pants you just bought at Children's Place rock!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Uhhh, false. And CP quality is better than most the brands you mentioned, tbh. CP fly as ****, really. Well made, comes in a variety of dope colors. Perfect canvas to showcase some fly kicks.

My 5 year old wears lots of And-1 gear from Walmart. Shorts/sweats/tees. He wants to wear that stuff everyday non-stop.

He also averages about 20 a game and the teenage refs look up to him because he's a stud and the coolest dude in the gym.

If you got game, it doesn't matter what you wear. TS.
