Pretty lifted on pain meds right now but I'm in a stint with a soft cast. Last night it got bad because I slept through the night and missed two doses of pain med.
Not sure what I'm on but I got nausea medicine too and an antiflammatory and antibiotic just in case of infection.
I was told to stay ahead of it like you said but with finnergan(?) it's hard to stay awake or even wake up at night. It's all good though once I caught back up.
I want no part of WVU in the tourney. Only because they will do everything in their power to knock Ulis out of the tournament. If you watched the WVU/Maryland game, you know what I'm talking about. They thugged on Trimble all game, dirty, illegal ****, adn the refs just let it happen. Finally knocked him out. They'll do the same thing to Ulis and Murray. Especially Ulis.
Ulis is a tough dude, but a concussion is a concussion.
Nobody really cares if you're there are not. You just asked who was going.
Yea WVU isn't so overwhelming in talent, but their style begs refs to swallow their whistle because you can't simply call every damn foul on them.
I'd prefer to stay away from them too because it would be hard watching us get called for BS while our main two guys get hacked, slapped and clothes lined with no call.

When did I say huge crew? I really don't know who is all going but I am glad you are so self conscious. Makes me happy.
-I think 2012 was the best offensive team. Not in a walk but like someone mentioned those 2nd weekend games were beautiful.
-I'll take any team that presses and zones. We'll destroy that. TS. A team like UNC and Maryland really worry me. Maybe even Purdue or Iowa St. No idea who would check Hammons or George. MSU and Iowa for sure.

What are some of you all talking about? This team would be best served playing team that presses Ulis, Briscoe and Murray could have a field day & we'd get lobs all day.
I want no part of WVU because they got punked last year after running their mouths, and while I don't necessarily believe that they'd play more inspired because of it (or at least, they shouldn't... especially in a lose-and-go-home situation) I just don't feel like listening to people talk about it, especially if they manage to win.

I believe I heard there's a rule that in the coaches poll coaches aren't supposed to vote for teams ineligible for the postseason. Maybe an unwritten one.
Warned you. It does calm down but you can expect a "tooth ache" feel for months as you go through PT and start to walk on it again in about 6-8 weeks, some days worse than others. I am not someone who takes pain medicine, but I took it post-surgery for 4 or 5 days and then she gave me Percocet to use as needed for the months to come. I didn't take it daily, but there were some days that it ached so bad, particularly in the heel itself, that I would take it when I got home and when I went to bed.
Risk of infection with the achilles is very high, so make sure once they take off the splint and bandage make sure you keep it clean and dry. Not sure what your doc's stance is, but I begged not to go into a cast and to instead be in a boot. It made bathing and life in general a lot easier. If you really got to hurting, you could take the boot off for a few minutes. Cast - you're screwed.
I'll be in a boot when the time comes.
A WVU matchup is two fold. I'm not scared in general, and think it's more of a physical game I'd prefer avoid. If it happened on the 2nd game of the weekend I'd be fine with it. Game 1 like the sweet 16 followed by a most likely tougher opponent afterward is my concern. Ulis getting banged up or any of our guys for that matter.
Every team presents its challenges but that's one I'd much rather face on the Saturday/Sunday game for sure.

I don't think Sting fans and NBA all star fans are, like...the same people.
They're not going to lose fans because of Sting but may a shot at getting some boring old white dudes to tune in for Sting and stick around to see the fun modern NBA product, jmo.

The NBA lost a ton of fans during the "Hip Hop" Years" under Stern. These same parents probably enjoyed the NBA of the 80's & 90's when they were kids and bachelors themselves.
But the Hip-Hop years probably made them resent the NBA for turning their kids into little wannabe thugs blasting gansta rap as that culture all blended together.
Now, the kids are gone, and the dad still enjoys watching sports at its core. They're hoping to win back these guys. It helps that these guys are comparatively rich as well.

It’s your dad who has to be convinced. Maybe he’ll check out the game because he heard Sting will be there to perform Spread a Little Happiness. You're right, I guess the NBA picked Sting by accident.
They don't know what they're doing over there. They only made 5.18 billion last year, and wouldn't take demographics into account for this selection.

So I get it...but it's certainty flawed marketing (just in relation to the half time show...the management of the last 10 years of the league has been impressive).
If you're goal is to try to bring back the old school fan who is turned off by show boating, no defense and competitiveness, then this may not be the format to reintroduce them to the league.
By all means, put Sting, The Rolling Stones, Hank Williams Jr., etc. on before, at half, or after the Western Conference Finals...now that will bring fans back!

No, you're right. The NBA didn't lose any fans during whatever you're referring to as the "Hip-Hop Era," the NBA never turned anyone into "thugs," but yes, now that I think about it, the NBA is actually desperate to bring back that coveted "White Males Age 50-65" demographic, and their master plan to do it? Sting performing the half-time show of the All-Star Game. Makes perfect sense.
Bringing offense back and speeding up the game has certainly helped in recent years. Warriors are fun to watch but they couldn't do what they do 10-15 years ago. The game got slow and boring. So the rules loosened a bit to make it more wide open.

The team that won it all was better on offense, maybe not efficiency wise, but the starting 5 plus 1 was the best 1-6 offensive players we have EVER had, only 1997 pre DA injury would be better IMO.

As of right now, I'll say false. This year's team is trending fast. If they keep up this scorching pace, they'll blow past 2012. The game against UT ought to be a good chance to inflate the offensive numbers before going against top defenses on the road in Vandy, Texas A&M, and Florida.
Uh...maybe if Wall and Bledsoe aren't turning it over at a high rate too. The 2010 team wasn't exactly one of Cal's most potent offensive teams at UK. Only the 2013 team had a lower conference raw offensive efficiency. They were loaded with NBA players, but was actually one of Cal's more limited offensive teams.

Went skydiving this weekend in Sugarloaf. :scream: Now that's an experience and couldn't have picked a better day, not a cloud in the sky and we could see from KW to Marathon. Unbelievable, highly recommend that especially here with the view you get.
Surprise birthday party for the gal afterwards was a hit. Grilled out, poolside fire, tunes, big boy fireworks, she was impressed.
Sunday was nothing but laying out poolside in the grass and letting the pups chase each other around. Back to the grind for the week now I guess. Hopefully the Cats stay on their grind as well.
