My dad let me see all kinds of stuff my mom would have been mortified if she knew: Commando, like every Steven Segal movie ever, Predator, Robocop etc. I think a good dad introduces his son to these things. Part of showing your boy the guy way.

- January is a much worse month than February. You're dealing with that post-Christmas hangover and also looking at two more months of cold weather instead of one.

- Why would Bryant stay? I'd imagine he's a mid-first rounder in this draft.

- I guess I "get" keeping your children from violent movies, but it's not something I'll care much about.

My Dad let me watch Hellraiser (once) and The Mask (about 4 dozen times) when I was 4 or 5. He regretted both when I was terrified of Hellraiser and imitated the Mask so much that he threw the VHS tape out the window on his way to work one day

I know most don't share my viewpoint but I find Kanye hilarious. I think just about everything he does is funny. He's much like Hal Mumme to me in that regard. It's like he really sees himself as some eccentric genius (hey- he might be) and it royally pisses him off that other people don't recognize. His entire life is a battle with this.

I mean, he changed his album name 4 times in the last 2 weeks. "This isn't the album of the year, it's the album of life"

Lol, k. He loves setting himself up for failure, that's for sure.

He's crazy talented, but he's awful. Apparently this one is going to back to his older style & and not whatever awful experimentation crap he's been messing around with since MBDTF. Yeezus was one of the worst things I've ever heard.

-I remember watching Rocky and Rambo with dad as a little dude. Didn't turn into a serial killer. I don't see the issue. I don't watch horror stuff so don't have to worry about that.

-Speaking of Rocky and Rambo, I watched Police Academy last night. Man, the 80's just made corny *** movies so well. Meatballs, Porkys, Ski Patrol, Police Academy, Iron Eagle, Rocky/Rambo. Miss that.

-Now just waiting on that February spring teaser where it's 70 and gorgeous. Been a pretty solid winter. Only 3-4 weeks of actual cold. The winter storms were pretty harmless and quick. Days are already getting longer. 16 days until March.

-LOL, BBdk skipping SECT. Spin it how ever you want bubs. Thursday when I'm with the crew drinking draft domestos you're going to be squirming. TS. Don't care if you were yacht'd up in San Tropez with Diddy.

And Friday when you're on I65N I'll be sending you snaps.

You seem really concerned about this, but I'm fine *this* year -- trust me.

Anxiously awaiting your Kanye review where you try to act hip and progressive and artsy.

I haven't seen **** about it. I'm guessing its #lateonpurpose #ha! Kanye that marketing rascal! Lol. I'm also guessing this will be the best selling record of all time! LOL....exclusively streamed on tidal, right?

And no. Learn trolling, you guys.

Watched The Exorcist at a friend's house when I was about 10. His very catholic mother actually encouraged us to watch it explaining demonic possessions/exorcisms were real, making our devout catholic faith that much more important. Scared the complete dogshit out of me as you might imagine.

She also later explained https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Days_of_Darkness prophecy that further had me wandering this world patiently waiting for Satan.

This was the type of **** that had me eating fried fish and cheese pizza on Lent Fridays, folks.

False.

And we were saying the same thing last year, until two record snows. So thanks for the jinx.

It was nothing back in the day for a parent to haul a bunch of kids to the movies, buy them tickets to an R-rated flick (hopefully feat. titties) and then just let them go in by themselves. It was truly an age of not giving a ****. I mean, I went to go see "Action Jackson" with two friends in 4th grade. Adults were nowhere to be found. And now I'm like, "WELP THERE WAS A CUSS ON THIS WEEK'S 'THE FLASH.' MAY HAVE TO MARK THAT ONE OFF THE LIST." Where have you gone, negligent parenting? When did letting your toddlers watch Cheech and Chong become a bad thing?

- BBdK "regretting" skipping the SEC-T on Thursday night/Friday morning is the lock of the century. He can spin it however he wants. Trust in Cal and Learn Yourself, BBdK.

- Is it just me, or in an upset, does lil George have a tad more Sloot in him than Anth? Just going by Snaps here.

- College Basketballs...let's talk Randy Livingston.

True or False- if healthy, he would've been every bit as good as Jason Kidd.

The older I get, the more I miss the fact that the 80s were 100% irony-free (at least when it came to mainstream things). Everything was as sincere and cheesy as possible and it was amazing.

-Yep, that's all I'm saying. He's already doing it. I've mentioned it TWICE and he acts like I text him every night. You know who will be fine? Me, in my normal happy space Thursday and Friday. Have fun though.

-G has Sloots mannerisms but I think he's trending towards MCF.

Used to hate going to mass during school...except during Lent. I loved the Stations of the Cross every Friday. The incense, the eerie no-song entrance and exit, the painted scenes on the church walls, the entire thing. I found it fascinating.

The Fish House at Winter & Barrett for Dad.

-Interestingly there is a push in the catholic church to bring the supernatural elements back to the forefront as modern society continues to, I don't know, get smarter, and some of the stuff like exorcisms, apparitions, etc. seem foolish.

My Mom worships Mother Mary, btw. She's stoked about the 100 year anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. So it's whatever.

What? That was the WORST. Absolute WORST. So much kneeling, dark and morbid.

The only good thing about being young and lent was fish fries on Friday's after school. Open gym to shoot around, cheese pizza, awesome mac n cheese, endless Cokes, parents sipping beers, walk over to Dixie Dozen for a movie, Comic Books Store or music store. Pinnacle of youth, really.

Watched Robocop with my dad when I was 6-7. He fell asleep during it. Next morning, he asked me how it ended. I didn't like how it ACTUALLY ended, so I made up a bunch of stuff that I thought sounded cooler.

Like a month and a half later, he comes into my room and wakes me up one night, asks me why I lied about Robocop, and grounds me for a week.

-. Have fun though.

-.

Lol, I'm fairly certain we will bub, thanks.

I'll 'miss' it for a few moments for sure, but they will be short lived.

Regret? Hardly. That's what would happen if I backed out last minute and sat at home in Louisville doing nothing while everyone was having fun in Nashville.

What day you rolling down, Chad?

Speaking of ingrained Catholic culture, last week, a coworker of mine started a conversation with the phrase, "I don't know how Catholic you are, but..."

TBH, my dad is Catholic, my mom taught at a Catholic school, half of my extended family is Catholic, most of my friends are Catholic, and I attended church festivals and Catholic camp (CTT) as a kid.

So he was pretty accurate in his phrasing, but still.

Typed in Romey's code for Shari's Berries yesterday....$19.99, which is like 60% off.

Get to checkout, $14.99 charge for shipping & handling, $16.99 charge for "special valentine's day delivery", total + tax $55, for 12 strawberries.

Lol, false. Congrats to Shari though I guess, what a racket.

Nah, Rome put the hard sell on me, was impossible to pass up the way he described them.

Guess I'll just get her some Theragesic. Maybe she'll be more appreciative than you were when I got you some back in the day.

I still use that Theragesic, doggy. Anytime I feel sore from being a weekend gunner, I rub that stuff on and feel better.

I watched Poltergeist at a Church lock-in when I was like 9, and I wasn't the youngest one there. So, yeah...the 80s were a different time, for sure.

It's a slippery slope during a season like this, but I'm almost enjoying this Hoosier mini-surge. Keep'm close, Tommy! Keep teasing them!

Louisville's going to end up with Archie Miller or Gregg Marshall and those fools are going to be stuck with Crean.
