Was always a big Field Williams fan for a) having the name Field and b) going with the first name on the back of his jersey. UofL fans would have loved it.

Just saw the Boise game on PTI(pti)...wow, what a crock of **** -- I'd be furious.

Don't think I've ever seen that happen before...and it was on the road, so no blaming the friendly home clock guy either.

Can the game be protested/reversed? If so, who wins the bet? That's the biggest robbery of a game I have ever seen at the college level.

Dunno, but it wasn't even close in live action, and even worse on replay. Ball was halfway to the rim when the light went off and clock hit 0.

Really bizarre, what a terrible way to lose a game,

The house. Years ago, guy I know told me about a horse he bet, who ran second, was the subject of a controversial non-DQ that day, but also who the Stews put up a few weeks after the fact. He by chance kept his ticket because that ******** was close to this ********, and so he took the ticket over to the Spectrum seeing if he could cash. CD officials just laughed at him.

"Hey. It was worth a shot at least..."

I'll say Vegas has the same rule.

The problem is by "rule" the bets have been paid off now, so the book couldn't re-collect the funds they paid out therefore they would essentially just say sorry the original verdict was the bet.

However, by rule, no game has ever been turned over due to petition but it has been petitioned several times. There is some crazy gambol law that a game must be 3/4 of the way complete(could be off on exact percentage) in order for a bet to pay out. So a game where a tornado hits a building and gets cancelled or something all bets are returned and there is no pay out.

Those are the two weirdest gambol twist scenarios I've come across.

Ref had to have money on the Boise St game. Only explanation for something that obvious right?

Caught the first two episodes of OJ versus the People...not bad. Having a little trouble buying Cuba as OJ, but Travolta nails it.

ZOOLANDER 2 TONIGHT.

I'm linking the stopwatch replay the officials used to make their call. A couple of things...

- It's hard to tell from this camera angle when he actually touches the ball. To me it seems their stopwatch starts when he appears to have touched the ball but you can't tell for sure.

- The stopwatch seems to run faster than the game clock when both are running simultaneously. The stopwatch goes from 0.8 to 0.9 and the game clock changes to 0.6 at 0.8 (stopwatch) but doesn't move when the stopwatch goes to 0.9 or 1.0, it's still stuck at 0.6

- The conference says the clock was properly stopped at 0.8 when the official blew his whistle by the precision timing system the refs have on their belt loop. Fair enough.

- The real question is how many times during the game did the clock not start at exactly the time a player touched the ball on an inbound from a dead ball situation? The answer, if you go by this stopwatch nonsense is, every time.

- I've never understood giving such importance to the end of the game over the rest of the game. I wonder how much time would've been left if they went back and used a stopwatch on every dead ball inbound?

Kinda got that impression from the Redband trailer. Looks good though. I'd rather watch this over Zoolander No. 2

Zoolander 2 - like the first one - looks like one of the worst movies ever made. I can only handle Ben Stiller in small doses, so those clearly aren't made for me.

- Not sure what to think about Indiana. They're playing better D and they have some elite perimeter guys and one good big. Put them in the jar of 50 teams who could make a run.

- It's interesting that Cal is expanding his rotation, not shortening it at this point. It's necessary and I like what Hawkins, Matthews and Humphries are giving us. Matthews, in particular, looks much more confident right now.

- "Vinyl" is a must-watch for me. Best scripted music TV show since "Love Monkey"?

- Haven't really gotten sick all winter, but it's been a never-ending saga of bleh, blah and mucous.

- Has always amused me just how bad most midmajor uniforms are- they're like bags with armholes. They're much worse than high school jerseys.

- Really, how good was '70s Elton John?

Not a comic book movie guy, but Deadpool seems funny. Just wonder if the constant 4th wall breaking wears thin after a while?

I also saw Deadpool last night. Doc should probably go see Zoolander, the Judy Blume menstruation jokes may be too over his head.

My dad took me to see "Commando" in the theater when I was like 5. [laughing]

Old man was a strict disciplinarian in many facets of my upbringing but didn't give a good gosh darn about stuff like R-rated movies and curfews (that was likely different with my little sister but I don't remember).

It walks up to that edge, but doesn't cross it, imo. The opening credits are pretty brilliant. I'm still amazed that this thing got a green light by a major studio. I mean, it is absolutely filthy and violent as all get out.

So the 35+ year old in skinny jeans, rolled up, with schmedium flannel shirt and ironic socks wants to take a shot at me being a 23 year old frequenting bars? Ok.

Bro>>poser

a) Don't own skinny jeans. Can't apologize for not rocking baggy '00s True Religion ****, though.

b) I'm short- just glad it's socially acceptable again to roll your jeans once.

c) Been rocking flannel since '94

d) Not sure what's ironic about socks

Good day, sir!

I remember when Arnold was "trapped" in that shed full of murder implements. Even as an 8-year-old I thought, "I probably shouldn't be watching what's about to happen." The 80s were simpler times, though. It was no big deal for parents to drag their children to "Friday the 13th," "Halloween," etc. My entire family - including my 6-year-old brother - went to see "Platoon" when it came out. I opted out and went to see "Over the Top" by myself. I think I was 9.

Pretty awesome at that age to learn you can keep a piece on your hip, point it in the general direction of distant lackeys, and mow them down. That flick was so great as a kid.

Enjoy the ridiculousness...

"Commando" was one of maybe 3 movies we owned on VHS, so my buddies and I watched it every single time they came over to spend the night, then the next morning we'd put on war paint and go battle Nicaraguans in the woods. I've probably seen that movies 100x. Can still quote it. The other day I saw a black guy at Starbucks who looked dead-on "Cooke" and immediately texted my best friend since kindergarten about it.

-That was a fun game to watch. Respect to IU/Iowa for rebelling against terrible B1G ball, at least.

-OG Anunoby is going to be really good. If Bryant comes back, they'll be pretty decent again next year.

...Troy Williams is like Alex Poythress, with way more actual basketball talent. Some of the moves he makes are o_O, and then he'll disappear for a huge stretch.

-Hit the 'middle' last night for a double dip on IU/Iowa, no better way to win a bet. Took the O151, then the U82 for 2nd half. Anywhere between 152-165pts wins both bets, and it did. Not often you get a middle that large (13 pts), no choice but to take it when you do.

-Feb is flying by to me. Everyone but Chad & I love to ***** about it, but it goes by as fast as any month for this guy. Gear down at work/gym, finally back in the New Year Groove, CBB every day, March Madness right around the corner...it's not that bad.

-[eyeroll] at Kanye leaving "No More Parties in LA" off the album -- haven't heard yet, but I'm sure it would have been the best song. He's so damn annoying it makes me want to boycott the album, although I know I won't.

-Down 11 lbs since Jan 1. 10-15 to go.

-Haven't had a Gyro in a really long time.

It is ridiculous. I was chastised by my wife for letting my 10 year old watch Rocky 4 because it was PG-13. I mean come on. This has to stop
