I wore Smart Jeans, Oxford, & Blazer to The Nutcracker, and was the most casually dressed person there...had no idea it was that kind of affair, figured my standard NYC Dinner & Broadway Show outfit would be sufficient. I felt fine & still doubt I'd wear a tie next time, but would definitely go slacks.

Ripped Jeans, Tshirt, Flannel, and scarf won't get it done though -- just looking out for his lassie here.

Suffered a second torn ACL in his left knee early in a practice session on Sept. 28, had surgery to repair the ligament on Oct. 11 and will miss the entire season. He will serve as a student assistant coach for the 2012-13 season while completing his degree.

Chase is determined to involve this Balado guy since he discovered him as the only "Mike" in the program. Sorry man. It just doesnt check out.

Him being the only Mike in the program has zero to do with it honestly.

Just a bit of scuttlebutt for your Thursday morning pleasure.

Chase run around with the Iracane Mob down there in the 'Boro? Seems he's chiming in quite often with rumors.

Stolen from KSR:

It's amazing how often these kids hit the shot in their one special moment. I love these kinds of things...(1:15 mark)

Pretty good, but nothing will ever top J-Mac.

What might be even better than him making the shots is the crowd just going bananas every time. One of my favorite videos

The homie Kim Jong Un is back to executing his own cabinet members and test launching nukes. Expecting a huge 2016 from that maniac.

I mean how hard would it be for us to "arrange" some kind of incident that results in North Korea and ISIS going after each other? We could just sit back grab a cold one and enjoy the show.

Entirely different article of clothing serving a completely different function.

But if you must know, I only get down with Nantucket red chinos, prick.

So did anyone think Skal made a leap with rebounding Tuesday? Still looks pretty damn shaky to me and I'm still not buying 6 actual rebounds. He had a put back and 1 actual good rebound that I can remember. He also had that random hustle play dive 3 seconds after the ball had been picked up. Wasn't even close to making the play.

I think he was gifted a few boards but cheated out of a few blocked shots in the box score.

What are the chances AD Tom has a much better golf round around his UL lackies than his fellow AD's?

Was encouraged by his effort. Let's see if he can build on it.

UofL is honoring its 1986 team, which is cool. But you want to talk about something that exposes the selective memory of fans, the Crum era would be it. Like the other day, the story was repeated about Shaq wanting to go to UofL, but Crum wouldn't promise a starting job. "That just shows what kind of person Denny was, he had great integrity." The guy had TWO major violations cases in like a 3 year span, with the NCAA talking about the death penalty. The ended up getting a postseason ban, overturned on appeal because of a technicality because UofL was not properly notified it was being charged as a "repeat offender". In addition, there were issues with the recruitment of Jason Osborne and Dwayne Morton. Plus the academics, which became a national joke (60 Minutes segment maybe?), and Crum pretty much saying it wasn't his job to make sure gets went to class or got degrees.

Idiots always pissing on Rupp's grave. I have no problem pissing on Denny.

Cheating at sports really got masked behind all the cocaine and needles during the 80's. I kind of get why most of it was just swept aside.

Speaking of Tony Kimbro and cocaine, here's a funny story that combines Tony Kimbro AND cocaine. (Via my high school coach, who coached in the 1985 KY/IN All Star game):

Tony Kimbro did cocaine. Like, mounds of it!

The selective memory of the Crum years is pretty amusing. Zero percent graduation rate over a 6-year period, a CBS annoucer (who I can't remember the name of) got suspended when he made a joke about the collective I.Q of the Louisville team, the 60 Minutes report on the win at all costs mentality. When UofL fan opines that Cal has ruined college basketball with the mercenary one and dones and that they can barely watch college basketball anymore and Crum made no bones about whether or not his guys went to class, well...
