I majored on Computer Science, not Finance, but how is renting for your entire life an equal investment to purchasing a home? Not saying it isn't true. I know a LOT, but even I don't know EVERYTHING.

I'd like to hear the case for that, at some point.

It’s not. It may not be as profitable as it was for our grandparents or parents but as long as you buy what you can afford, no matter how many times you buy, then it far outweighs the opposite.

My house is fully paid off which has allowed me to use the money which would have gone to the mortgage on other investments.
