-Nice little weekend hanging with @Geese Feeder and other Derby Hills neighbors at the the neighborhood summer party, then the Super VIP After Hours Pool party at my place. Geese brought over a legit bottle of Thomas H Handy Rye that was simply fantastic, and I popped a bottle of Parkers Heritage Double Oaked Bourbon that knocked many socks off. Kids had a blast, parents did too.

-Im addicted to Pickleball. Playing 3 days a week and joining a local league. Does this mean I can apply for AARP early?

-Officially down 50 pounds. only 25-30 to go until I hit my old high school wrestling weight. And added a solid 2 inches of weiner. 😎

-Setting up the new commercial tailgate tent at Kroger Field tomorrow. Swing by, grab some moonshine, and listen to 90s rap with us this season if you're in the Green Lot area.

-Oldest Huber boy has decided to start running cross country during his fall break from baseball. Seems to really enjoy it and according to his coach is pretty good at it. Probably going to need to DNA test him to make sure he's actually mine.

* Has Ron recovered from *** to mouth disease yet?

Funny you should ask Hank! I woke up yesterday with most of the excruciating throat and tongue ulcers healing up, as well as the extremely painful blisters on all my fingertips. Chuckling to myself at the wonders of life I breathed a sigh and was ready to take on the day. About 15 minutes into the day a sharp shooting pain and instant nausea overcame me - mainly in my right groin and side. I thought maybe my right testicle exploded? After ruling that out maybe the vasectomy failed and my right testicle ruptured? After ruling that out maybe pancreatitis? Nope, all wrong! After speaking to my doctor brother I have developed Pleurodynia - sharp muscle pains and inflammation following HFM some adults get. 10% get the pain in their testicles! Thankfully this sometimes only last 3 day - or up to 45 days! No treatment available! It’s wonderful, I love being a dad!

Meh. I want to know all about what Aaron Hernandez did criminally that Urban Meyer had no issue helping cover-up. Could not GAF about the UF program or anything highlighting their success.

She clarified that the documentary's scope was restricted strictly to the events between 2005 and 2010.

“I mean, a lot of the story you’re referring to did happen after he left Florida,” she said. “So it’s completely out of our time frame, you know, we resolutely stuck to 2005 to 2010. And we wouldn’t have dealt with anything outside of that moment."

goes on to say:

Addressing the handling of Hernandez's story, English noted that the former players who were featured in the film influenced the decision to approach his narrative with sensitivity.

“[The former players featured in the film] are very, you know, moved by what happened to him, and we respected that,” English said. “I think, you know, he was a very well-loved player within the team."

I mean, “Untold” made me have strong feelings about yacht racing. But they get to Urban Meyer’s Florida teams and now they’re gonna hold back?

* White Wayne asked if the Reds were "one arm away" from a pennant. Baseball just doesn't necessarily work like that. The best team typically does NOT win. To win in baseball, you usually need....

- a lot of young, athletic, versatile players
- 2 hot pitchers
- clutch hits and luck
- health

All a GM can do is load up his roster with healthy players as close to their prime as possible. Nick Kroll has certainly started to do that. This team is so young and so talented.

* Mike Cooley at his finest....

I went stumbling through the fog
Trying to find a reason for the things I told her
She woke up sunny side down
And I was still thinking, I was too proud to flip her over
Between the champagne, hand jobs
And the kissing *** by everyone involved
Cocaine rich comes quick
And that's why the small dicks have it all
So I'll meet you at the bottom, if there really is one
They always told me "When you hit it, you'll know it"
But I've been falling so long, it's like gravity's gone
And I'm just floating

* Stacy Keach in the GOAT voice. Who else even comes close?

* If anyone asks an opinion on higher education, I'll tell them the same thing every time -- you or your loved one should attend the very best school you can reasonably afford. That could mean going community college for 2 years before transferring, loading up on lots of scholarships, getting a job at UPS, or just writing a check because you're a baller. But my dear friend Hankshaker said it best -- getting your kid thru college with no debt is the ultimate parent flex.

* Hillary is out there absolutely destroying California, and wcc is still all like "Hillary is a decent person." False.

* Do people honestly still think Axe Body Spray or Febreze actually work?

The best team won it all last year. Although, that is not "typical", the best teams usually contend, which is what you want to do, and then let the arms carry you in the post season. The Reds screwed up big time by not going after a top arm.

"A lot" of young players is not going to win you anything.

Clutch hits and luck....well, duh. This can be said for every single team, even the Braves.

Health....really? #SMH

Reds are young...too young at this stage, and their talent level is way overstated, and overhyped....especially EDC, who has reached novelty status.

Your admiration is to be commended, but your knowledge of the game is nothing short of awful. It would be like me telling you how to run long distances....out of my league. You're out of your league talking to me about baseball.

  • @PTI (pti) - I disagree with your take about pitching. I think you need at least two really good starters and a third starter who keeps you in games, plus 3 relievers who are either really good or really hot. And that's once you get into the playoffs. You need more than that in the regular season, especially if you are barely in the wild card slot.
  • Is Cannabis Safe? - Answer: on a daily basis hell no. On a weekly basis probably not. Monthly, perhaps not a big deal. Just trying to keep you brain damaged losers from killing even more brain cells.
  • If some universities really think they are going to pull off a 30-team super league they need to think again. I watch the College Football championship because it's the league championship for the league of the team I root for. If they cut out Kentucky I'll be out. And I'm assuming a lot of fans from about 40 other schools will be too. I think it's down-right despicable what these universities are doing, and it's going to bite them in their *** at some point. The worst thing the SEC did was throw Texas a lifeline when they basically tried to F over all the teams in the Big 12.

And the NL pennant was won by the Phillies, who won 87 games. The 2021 pennant (and World Series) was won by the 88 win Atlanta Braves.

To Wayne’s point….

- 2 hot starters
- a great bullpen

So yes you are correct.

The thing you absolutely have to love about Tiffany Gomas is that she just doesn't miss an opportunity to really show out. Whether it's a social media post or a quick little video she puts out on the web, she's not putting herself in front of the public without doing up her hair, lip gloss, makeup, spray tan, her best 'fit, stylish posting, the works. She really cares, man.

If you have the time, you should also dive in on what alcohol does to the brain.

In short, recent research has shown even low to moderate levels of alcohol consumption can lead to degeneration of neurons in the brain. It thins the neocortex and other brain regions and in moderate and heavy amounts reduces the thickness of the brain. It alters DNA and gene expression leading to increased cancer risk, will increase your estrogen levels whether you're male or female, basically re-wires your neural circuits for habititual and impulse behaviors that can take up to six months being completely sober to get those neural circuits normal again... I mean, it's literally poison. And that's not even really getting into what else it'll f up (which is much more lengthy than this).

Happy Monday everyone lol.

-So FCPS has cancelled all outdoor sports games/practices until after 730 pm. Is it really that damn hot that added water breaks couldn't take care of this rather than cancelling pretty much everything for a week for certain teams?

- Watched Greyhound the other night. WW2 Sub movie with Tom Hanks. No love, no relationship crap, just kill or be killed by Germans. Thumbs up. Good thing they didn't cancel naval ops since it was so cold back then.

- Also binging 1883. Not bad but I sure have watched less depressing shows before.

- Redsox have a brutal next month of games for them. Don't think we make the wildcard.

- Reds better get hot or it's over for them as well.

- Gonna have to make a special trip back to Marco Island just so I can go to the cigar shop and get more Davidoff Factory Seconds. Damn good stick.

- Friggin Hovland shoots a 28 on the back 9? I celebrate a 38 at Champions like it's a hole in one. Next week should be fun in Atlanta.

-Eastern KY/Mountain PKWY radio stations are weak if you don't want to hear country. Maybe when they finish all the construction we can start a good GYERO radio station that you can hear from Nat bridge to Paintsville.

- Need to start doing something besides Golf. Weigh more today than I ever have. Don't know a soul that plays decent tennis around Lex. And not sure pickleball is for me. Running and the GYM bore me to death.

- Lost all interest in WWC after USA lost. Thank goodness the Premier league is back.

-Let me in end with, Good Lord Paige Spiranac.

Took the wife to the State Fair yesterday on her birthday. She likes it. Ate a KY Pork Producers pork loin sammie and a brat. Most of the animals had been cleared out by mid-day so there wasn't much left but a few cows and horses doing dressage. The crafts, photos, quilts, etc were at an all-time low participation. Impel's for dinner and some Comfy Cow for the road.

Family of 3 came into CC, and the mom was having a day. That poor husband and son just had to deal with it. She didn't want any ice cream, then got mad at the son for not volunteering to share his. Then she went and ordered her own and went outside and ate by herself. Good Lord.

...who went 44-28 in the second half to WIN THEIR DIVISION, and ended up with a +134 run diff, which was 3rd in the NL. They were one of the best teams in MLB and were legit contenders, which is what was stated.

You're not doing well today. Get get a Doug Flynn card and dream about his contributions to this team.

The Dodgers that season won 106 games, which is more. They went 57-25 in the second half, which is better. They were the betting favorite before and after the regular season. They had the best run differential in all of MLB.

Why in TF are you trying SO HARD to argue about everything?

The “best team” doesn’t make the World Series a LOT. It’s very normal for a team, or even just a handful of players to get hot and carry their team to the WS.

Learn Spotify/YouTube/iTunes…not even being a smartass I just can’t understand people listening to terrestrial radio.

There was a woman sitting in her car at Home Depot while I was there and I parked next to her. She was sitting in the scalding sun, windows down listening to FM radio and it went to a commercial as I was locking up.

I literally thought to myself, there’s not a whole lot I’d rather not be doing than sitting in a hot parking lot listening to local FM radio.

-Finished up the drywall around my shower. Good feeling besides being covered in drywall dust, sawdust and insulation. This cold shower shortly will feel amazing.

Sanding and attempting to install the shower door for tomorrow on tap.

-I’ve thrown up randomly the last two days. Yesterday was in church in my seat and was able to swallow it back down without running out and spraying everywhere which is all I wanted to avoid.

Today was getting home from Home Depot an hour ago. Only thing in common is taking Magic Mind but I’ve been taking it for a week. Idk? Really don’t like vomiting though.

5 school buses involved in accidents today in Louisville (Was going to post in JCPS thread but guess it got deleted). Guess the superintendent of the year Polio would say it’s a success since it was less than 10🤷‍♂️. Wonder if all kids are home yet today? Haven’t seen official note that “it’s now nighttime and all kids are home.”

Now go play you a scratcher, everybody winning the lottery these days.

Been a min since I hit up El Toro..…gotta put it back in the rotation.

-There was a bus “crash” on Tates Creek today around 6:30-7. Didn’t see any kids though thankfully.

-Friends family owns El Toro and he’s been telling me to come in and I always forget about it. Need to do that before I leave.

-Lahaina the southern cal, Shewee, feel super bad for those folks and friends that live there. Storms popping up all over the Atlantic, hoping those chill as well.

Also, regarding Lahaina, my friends there say don’t listen to the news, Maui wants and needs tourism.

Those people for the most part make money off tourism so when the news is saying wait and let them recover, well the people that live there say differently.

Last time I cried over sports I think was when Favre retired (from GB). Not like full on crying but welled up.

Didn’t cry in 2012, was full elation mode with Ol transygaf walking around Lex seeing the things. 2015 didn’t cry because it was full on shock.

Nothing else has done it for me. Given, UK BBall being bad since the last champ run has killed a lot as did (and even more so) 2015, so since then 🤷‍♂️.

Maybe getting older and caring less is normal and good for life?

- Micheal Rappaport while mostly annoying and terrible IMO was actually really good as Daryl Crow in Justified.

- I miss the baseball board. In a sport that has never ending strategy for everything involved at every level you can argue this until you’re old and fat with a sunsetting low and never agree on anything.

You know what Abbot, Greene, Lodolo and
Lowder will be sick. Disagree with that.

- I loved the Armaris Ramirez, Derek Lee, and Soriano team, but it took Lester, Arietta and Aroldis Chapman to win us a World Series.

- I’ve always loved wrestling. There is a show called Heelz on Amazon Prime that is one of the better shows going right now.

That reminds me of what I’d expect from OVW, but ALL the recent greats started in OVW and there was a time that place was a spring board to WWE.

- I cried about Laettner hitting that shot.

- Ordered Armanac labels today. Should be bottled week after next. Anyone want to be responsible for getting them to the Lexington area folks?
