This team definitely has spurtability unlike the last few years. I love seeing a big run that demoralizes the other team and puts a game away.

Pick your poison, we’ll gladly let you decide how you lose.

Depth down low would catch up eventually but I am amazed at comfortable I am with the pieces we saw the past few days.

Reeves and Mitchell teamed up with this young athleticism/ potential could be a big year. The pups, at times, do some great things. Other times do some real dumb things but you can see the potential.

Love Mitchell’s unselfish play. He’s there to win. It’s been a fun few days.

GLOBL JAM FINAL
PLUS/MINUS RANKING

1.) Tre Mitchell = +76
2.) Adou Thiero = +55
3.) Antonio Reeves = +42
4.) DJ Wagner = +41
5.) Justin Edwards = +37
6.) Reed Sheppard = +29
7.) Rob Dillingham = +25
8.) Joey Hart = +3
9.) Jordan Burkes = 0
10.) Brennan Canada = -3

Raggedy Randos:

* My low-key favorite play of the week was last night when Reed got his pocket picked at midcourt and chased their point guard down and swatted his **** into the second row like a mini Tayshaun Prince. The kid is going to be a menace in the open court all year. He plays defense like a ballhawking free safety.

* Every one of our guys seems likable. There were rumors that Dillingham might have some attitude problems but the kid was all smiles and made some really mature comments when the other guards were getting the attention.

Mitchell, especially, gives off a good, relaxed vibe. After some recent teams that made you squint to root for them, this is a welcome breath of fresh air.

* While it sucks for the kid, I'm not mad to hear that Ugo is going to be out longer than originally expected. I'd much prefer this team have a chance to establish its identity as a smallball squad that has to win with offense and then work the centers into the rotation to battle when things gets rugged later in the year.

* This season of Righteous Gemstones has been utterly amazing. If you aren't watching it, do yourself a favor and start. This season can be watched stand alone if you don't want to go back through the first two seasons (which are both excellent, especially the first season.) Sturgill Simpson even makes an appearance this year.

* Cal aced the week, imo. He's doing what the BBN asked. He wasn't an *******. Our offense looks evolved. Last night he talked again about playing Edwards at the four some this year and mentioned how it takes three point guards on the floor to really play the DDM offense, which he has this year with DJ, Dillingham, and Reed.

The old boy must be mainlining TRT or something because cutting videos from Drake's house and doing the Canadian basketball press junket is some vintage Werepecker. I know we are all in wait and see mode, but that went as well as it possibly could have.

-Hit up the Barbasol Event Sunday which was really cool. Gal pal had member passes or something and invited me. Always fun to get out and do those things.

I think Lucas Glover was the only guy I was familiar with but those guys are all crazy to watch.

Top 100 FedEx Points guys and a surprising purse of around 4 million.

-Officially signed a lease in St Pete today from afar. Stoked! Landlord is 31 and cool as hell, we talked on the phone for ten minutes and he was like, bruh I like your vibe, I’ll just rent it to you and forget the people that have been looking and asking.

I like Florida…

Best part is, as a true Blue Blood Wildcat Friend, it’s on Grove Street… 🎉

Just 1 mile from the downtown area/Central Ave, 1 mile to the beach, very centrally-located. Already looking at E-bikes and a dog trailer so me and the black homie can cruise around in the heat .

-Gym and then tiling all day today, I love doing that stuff but dang it wears you out. Have a timeframe now so I’m excited to knock it all out.

-Week of the court dates starting Tuesday. I’m going to court as many times this week as I have my whole life combined and I didn’t even break any laws. 🤞

-Everyone on here seems to be pretty bullish after these summer games (I watched zero tbf) including my mom. I just don’t trust Lucy/Cal man. Balls been pulled too many times before. I’ll believe in the 3 point shooting and drive and kick, not force feeding the post when I see it mid-late season.

But I am much more optimistic than I was before this roadie.

I watched enough of the games and highlights to be excited again about this season*.

* with the nagging thought in my head “how does he play this team when he has two 7 footers available? Are we all going to be on GYERO in January bitching about “where is the tram we saw in GLOBL JAM?!?!”” Just doing my best to not listen to the voices in my head for now.

Took my oldest to a local chain for a steak for her birthday. After dinner surprised her with a dessert they do “Air Ruby”- a cake that looks like a Jordan IV. I was a Jordan V guy myself but it hit the spot.

I’ve tried to team my kids “don’t judge a book by its cover” HOWEVER if I’m on a lake and see you in a cigarette boat designed for off shore racing I know you’re not the kind of person who should be operating heavy watercraft.

They do have a Poker Run on Cumberland but no idea what lake you were on obviously.

But that’s not too far off from seeing a lambo on Circle 4 like I did yesterday.
