I appreciated the tequila recs earlier this week. A spirit I had never drank like that, but an anejo sipped over a cube over the course of a summer evening is really excellent. As I go on I am getting familiar scotch feelings in my mouth. This is good stuff.
I think a lot of us were introduced to tequila in high school or college with the “eat the worm” and”lick it, slam it, suck it” Jose Cuervo. That had brought back a lot of bad memories. But when I started to go to Mexico for work I learned about good anejo tequila. My preferred way is a bandera with lime juice, sangrita and sipping the tequila.

-When people order Cuervo these days (usually someone in their 50-60s that drank it in college) I say, “You know they make good tequila now, right?” That **** is garbage.

I prefer a silver because they just go down so smoothly.

-Been experimenting with a little micro dosing of boomers. Really dig it. You don’t get a buzz really or anything, just good overall mood and very little desire to drink yet can still enjoy yourself out.

Did that yesterday while taking the doors off my kitchen cabinets and painting them all. 6 hours of that flew by.

.5 gram and good to go. Prob do the same again today as I tackle the base cabinets.

Psilocybin is a miracle drug. Legit medical studies have shown that low doses (ie not tripping balls) can cure - not just alleviate - all sorts of horrible mental/emotional problems. But of course those studies are mostly overseas because here it’s a schedule 1 drug with “no medical value.”

Meanwhile, Fentanyl (which kills 75,000 Americans a year) is on the WHO’s essential medicines list.

Makes sense.

As always, profit margins and whatnot. At least Colorado figured it out.

Tripping is fun every now and then but the microdosing is pretty incredible. I always have some on hand for the most part.

Tbh, I’m pretty sure everyone on here knows I’ve had my battles with booze here and there, nowadays if I feel a bender trying to get ahold of me (usually because I’m hanging out with the wrong buddies) i pop a handful of mushies and boom, desire is gone and I stay on track and 1 day doesn’t turn into 4.

There’s not another anything(weed can help) I’ve found that will stop that dead in its tracks like psilocybin yet here we are in America they’d rather give you Valium or some unsavory medical substitute that just fills the void temporarily, which as soon as you stop taking it you’re back to wanting a drink.

Deaths per 100,000 alcohol users 10-100
Deaths per 100,000 psilocybin users 0-1*

*really it’s 0, it’s really hard, almost impossible, to overdose from mushrooms, you’d be more likely to just throw it all up before you could ever overdose.

With all the fentynal issues, why buy off the street these days? I mean, your local dealer may be a pillar of the community, but why risk it?

Where do you get your shrooms?

Tell him I sent you.

I have two guys that always have them.
I've seen a few incidents where people tested positive for fentanyl after smoking weed. Scary, scary stuff.
Another reason for medicinal is all I’m hearing.

Whoever said that west coast majors are the best, I’m gonna have to disagree.

Tee times starting at 5:30 on a Sunday?

Hard pass. The best Majors are usually turning the corner right now, 6-7pm finale FTW.

I enjoy west coast majors and watching in primetime but this iteration seems very lackluster. Maybe it is the "June Gloom" or the lack of patrons but it just comes across as a normal tournament.

The finish tonight is going to be...

My good buddy that delivers grows them himself so I know their pure. He hates anything that’s not natural aka any drug besides weed and booms. He asked me a million questions about TRT and got on with my doctor. He quit drinking since then and just micros and smokes weed. He’s never felt better. He’s s definitely never looked better.

Mine definitely taste like ****. In high school we used to make tea or a piece of bread with peanut butter with shrooms mixed in. Nowadays I just crush them up in a grinder, throw them in a cup of water and swallow it down, don’t even have to taste them.

Seems easier to get on TRT than shrooms.

I didn’t want to know the exact person. Was just curious how people get things like mushrooms or acid.

I’ve not worked as a waiter or a bartender so I’ve never been around people that do a ton of recreational drugs.

GYERO is plain spicier when @WynnDuffy is painting the black with posts.

Just got back from a Fathers Day feast at a local primo restaurant. Boulevardier…. Clams, Oysters, Lamb chops…. Laubade Armagnac to finish. That was pure luxury that my fat *** will be sweating off tomorrow at 4:45.

Stepped on the scale today and celebrated a bit too hard. Eff you.

Now drinking Bardstown Ferrand on the deck listening to Lucinda Williams.

I love my dog. I highly recommend the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. Don’t bark, don’t shed, don’t smell. She’s 7. Just strolled by to give me a kiss.

Invited my frat bros from KY for a barbecue and bourbon tasting Labor Day. May get 8 dudes up here for debauchery. Threw it out there as a cast in the ocean, coming back with many bites…

Happy Fathers Day

Makes sense.

Fentanyl has a ton of legit medical uses. It's used thousands of times a day in this country in minor medical procedures (colonoscopies, for example). It's also used in treating cancer pain.

Just because a drug is abused and is dangerous doesn't mean it doesn't have legit uses.

But maybe you'll be happy to know there is a movement in Congress - and pushed by the Biden admin - to label fentanyl a schedule 1 drug (meaning in part that it has no medical use).

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-fentanyl-drug-schedule-1-bill-passes/

The system we our govt has of classifying drugs is stupid. Drugs can be both dangerous (when used recreationally) and medically useful (when used properly).

To be more specific:

The transdermal patch used to treat cancer is on WHO’s essential medicines list.

Link: page 2

I’m a doctor, so I know for sure what cancer patients need is to get hooked on a deadly drug 50x more addictive than heroin.

Where I get them? The good ol USPS, biggest drug dealer in the country, drops them off at my doorstep. Same with green if I need it but I’ve got a great connection here.

Haven’t bartended here in 12 years but still managed to make a great connection. Bro has a website and everything so you know what he has.

Got any better alternatives for terminal cancer patients? I mean, addiction is kind of the least of their concerns when they're in extreme pain and near death.

Not to sound like a massive a-hole (I am) but feel free to give dying people morphine so their pain goes from a 9 to a 3 in their final days (instead of a 9 to a 1 with fentanyl) and save us the horror that fentanyl has become to the rest of the world. Talk about cutting your leg off to save a toe.
