WCC, i posted this in GYERO last summer, the amount of good tequilas coming out virtually daily is incredible and one of the best alcohol trends of the last 15 years imo, so I’ve actually branched out with even more but this list is still good:

Blanco: Casamigos or Casa Noble are great, smooth Blancos that are relatively easy to find.

Reposado: This tequila is slightly darker than blanco, basically aged in oak barrels. Very smooth but more of a sipper than blanco. I like the G4 Reposado the most. They are 4 brothers that are a big deal in the tequila world that joined forces and started this brand about 10 years ago. Got into this brand when I visited Sedona and all their tequilas are wonderful. Can sometimes be hard to find.

Anejo: Aged longer. Darker, richer. Can literally be substituted for bourbon in many cocktails or enjoyed on the rocks. Once again I really like G4. But Olmeca makes a great one that’s easier to find.

Mezcal: Heavy, smoky. More comparable to a peaty highlands scotch. The Casamigos is the easiest to find and also delicious.

All these are “higher end”, meaning they are around 50 bucks meaning they are the same cost as a pint of ****** bourbon. Worth a shot to branch out though.

The JRE interview with RFK Jr is fascinating. Incredibly smart and passionate dude. Chilling **** on Orwellian governmental control. Will be interesting if the Dems put him on the debate stage with Biden. HAHAHa.

Rain taking out my golf outing today is a complete bummer.

First of all, I don't lake....same reason I don't drink piss water brews (too cliche' and it sucks)...if I want a brew it is a top notch IPA or notta. The occasional Bud Heavy in a pinch. Otherwise, it is a fine bourbon....maybe ice or a mixer in the summer, like it will be tomorrow when I am staining my deck. And when I am celebrating my 60th on the Wynn pool deck in early August when it is 105 I might throw a curveball for a chair side made Old Fash.

I go for taste and the finer things in life...why waste it on a watered down domesto. Life is too short.

Grabbed a Corazon Anejo - Liquor Barn pick. Aged in Weller barrels fwiw.

Again cole you’re off. If you’re talking about drinking in the Keys heat no one is slamming IPAs. You can have the finer things in life but this is about enjoying a day in the sun drinking. Seltzers and domestos are tried and true by those that live that life.

Round here and In AC I’m all about IPAs.

Believe I tried to be like I’m from KY I drink bourbon when I first moved there. That lasted about 3 months. Now when it barely dives into the 50-60s we’re stoked and crack a bottle of bourbo.

-Nothing wrong with Laudy, nice place and NOT Miami. I could live there or west palm (considered west palm but too uppity for now) but I much prefer the gulf side, sand and water is much better than Atlantic side.

-This beard is getting serious, why start growing one before the summer 🤷‍♂️, could be gone any day though.

-I need a pool/lake day, maybe Saturday. Can you still go to merrick? Do they still have a pool? I have no idea just not trying to go to a public pool, would rather drive up to moms lake.

Really wish we had something like the Omni here. Lex skyline is ready for an addition anyway.

-Contacted the fine people of Bryant this morning and setup an appt for Monday. Got to thinking, that’s Juneteenth and they’re open? Unbelievable.

Garage door people coming that day too.

-Looks like I’ve decided to sand a repaint my kitchen cabinets myself to save 6K. It’s going to take a week and really blow but I’ve got the time so might as well.

Any tips are appreciated.

Vegas is cool and all, if I’m going I’d rather go to shows with a gal. Honestly no desire to go gamblin’ with the boys there except for a sports book. Just not my style. I would like to get a lift in at that UFC Performance Center.

Like 80 said, give me mountains, lake/river or ocean. I’d rather spend a quiet weekend sipping tequila or beers by a pool/ocean in sleepy St. Augustine or something like that, personally.
