I become attached to my Fridge's water dispenser. So much so, that when I go to someone else's house, it generally tastes like *** to me, or at the very least "off". Lassies fancy fridge water is straight doody ball.

When I moved houses, it took me a month to like my 'new' water, now I worship.

Probably should write an ice water book, as I have lots to say about it. Feels great to be discussing it again, thanks Booker!

I haven’t NOT drank out of a Brita or water filter in probably 20 years. And I only drink water - that’s it. Tap is gross.

Rainey St is cool as ****.

Also, Floppy Disk Repair Co. downtown may be my favorite little bar I’ve ever visited. Little cocktail Speakeasy that plays nothing but 90s/classic hip hop. Place is unreal.

6th St is awful. I found Austin proper quite overrated overall, dirty, and extremely weird. Would certainly return for a ballgame tho, would surely be much more fun w/ a crew.

Best water I ever had was filtered through a wet t-shirt and the best rack I've ever seen in Daytona during Spring Break 1993.

My God, that was 30 years ago. She was from Buffalo, NY. Hadn't thought about her in years. Holy ****, that was a good ice water.

Pardon me while I pray on my rosary. I just did some serious coveting.

Fiji water >>> Poland Spring >>>> all else.
Perrier for sparkling

No tuck. Wife likes to be hermetically sealed. I am on top of all with a lightweight cable kit silk throw (like a spring sweater). Who are the psychopaths using weighted blankets?!? GTFOH

Old lady at gym has a smoking body. She must be 65. Amazing combination of genetics and devotion to fitness. Im not staring.

Decided to work from home today. So much better to listen to Mags, bang out some emails, Teams meeting and avoid 3 hours of commuting to/from the zombie apocalypse.

Speaking of which, I will never forgive/thank the person enough who lent me their copy of THE ROAD. RIP Cormac. That book still haunts me.

If one were to pick a single home FB game to attend, which should it be? Open for recs. Bama may be too cold, but if we win would be bonkers. Chose last year for USC, which had a Ron Hudson vibe🤮.

Keb Mo concert Friday down the street.

Creekstone Farm brisket in the mail for July 4 festivities.

We did Austin when WVU joined the big 12. This was like 7 years ago so I don’t remember specifics, however we stayed till Tuesday. So Friday and Saturday were football vibe and then Sunday - Tuesday we stayed in a different area and just explored Austin, went to lake Travis, saw the bats under the bridge **** and all that. Was like two completely separate trips and really like Austin. Great food everywhere.

This dude lives near Austin 🤔
(Post from HOB thread about Peter Burns tweet)

There was a rumor floating around a few months back that Kentucky would play at Texas in October 2024. I'm 60 minutes away from the stadium so obviously that is what I'm rooting for.

I've been surrounded by Longhorns for years. Would love to lay the smack down on them.

You need to grow up, rogue.
If you haven’t noticed, a big thing of mine is trying NOT to grow up.

I mean, I'm moving back to Florida as a 41 year old to bartend/train, chase young tourist vahine, not get married or have kids. When did I EVER give off the vibe of trying to grow up?

And why does not liking carbonated water “not growing up”? I think that stuff sucks and don’t get the point except to seem fancy.

I couldn't stand carbonated water until a couple of years ago. Now I love the stuff. Sort of strange how fast this all changed for me.
Next thing you know, you'll be changing your pronouns, imo.

* From the Rafters:

Matt Jones on a Twitter space right now:

- UK was 100% certain they were getting Dickinson and Keshad Johnson
- let Oscar leave because they knew they were getting Dickinson
- Cal’s mind was changed on collectives after Dickinson and Oscar’s decisions and the Reeves deal
- someone “very connected to UK” is running the new collective. Great person to lead this
- Cal stepping away and now letting people do what needs to be done for NIL
- not sure on Reeves. Thought he was coming back but now they’ve gone quiet
- Cal is alienated from main donors. However, new donors are stepping up and are big time funders. Not UK people, they are Cal people

- last 2-3 weeks behind the scenes changes have been made within UK basketball. changes for the better.
- not sure changes pay off this year but says Cal will be back after this year based on what he is putting in place.

Until the La Familia stuff, I was absolutely sure this was going to be Cal's last year at Kentucky. The one million / year contract term kicks in after next year and all signs point to him having checked out and looking forward to securing the annuity and moving on to different pastures.

I guess the change on NIL is somewhat promising. The conundrum of Calipari the last five years is that everyone involved is best off if he makes the obvious changes and reinvents himself. He's shown zero inclination of doing that until the La Familia stuff.

Of course, in finally getting a collective together, he's making it solely focused on his brand (not UK) and claiming he's not actually doing NIL. He's just an absolute prick. When he wins, it is tolerable. But when we are mediocre to bad, I hate him more than any UK coach not named Billy Clyde.

* A top 5 ice water is a cheap 16.9 oz plastic bottle straight from an icy cooler that is so cold the bottle has lost pressure and is starting to warp.

Can't really summon up much praise for Cal regarding the new collective.

Even Denny Crum eventually allowed his offense to acknowledge the 3 point line's existence. The problem was that he never was viewed as "cool" ever again after the mystique of him being seen as a step ahead of college basketball was tarnished.

Friend of mine says Cal will be speaking to a bunch of big hitters this week in Cincinnati regarding NIL.
Supposedly looking at 5 year financial commitments. Does that mean he intends to stay longer?
Posted back a couple of months ago. So, sounds like his NIL is portable. That would be a straight middle to Billy Joe Wildcat if he took his ball, which we've been telling him to get, and went home.

Our fridge water filter went out. I was henpecked for hours until I jumped into action to get to lowes to fix it because she just CANNOT drink tap water as it tastes different.

The problem was inside of the fridge therefore there was no easy fix.

I ended up running the water line direct to the dispenser i.e. to bypass the filter. Its been months and she hasn't complained once. I feel like I'm too far in now to ever say anything.

My 10 year old granddaughter recently refused to eat cereal one day at my house because I told her all I had was Almond milk. The next time she was over I just made it with the almond milk and didn’t tell her. She ate two bowls.

My point is most women and children are way over dramatic about a bunch of stupid **** and don’t (won’t) know any better as long as you keep your trap shut.

05 just went to Minnesota’s camp and had coaches all over him. Made it to finals of FG and KO. St. Thomas and Wyoming at the top of the list. And he’s visiting St. Thomas right now with their coaches. St. Thomas is one of the top FCS schools and has a **** ton of money. And the Minnesota coaches were great - they are locked up with a transfer kid right now and ‘25 commit but they were amazing contacts and really liked him.

Not good enough for Kentucky to even give him a sniff though…sad.
