How many coaches have died while still active? Doesn't seem like something that happens very often, Skip Prosser is the only one I can think of.

-I'm currently holding a very expensive bottle of bourbon for krazy that has me a bit anxious to deliver before one of my hooligan kids knocks it off a table or sosomething.
I'll hold it for him if you want. I can give it to him when he brings me that bottle he promised last year. 😏

RIP The Pirate. The world is a less interesting place without him here. Going to miss that guy.

My body is still correcting itself from my weekend. Something tells me this coming week might be the same story.

The new RB coach has already visited several of our top recruits. He's going to be a huge upgrade over Settle.

Been painting my deck in these last few warm days before spring. Should finish up around 2 or 3 today.

Really bummed about Leach, what alife that guy lived.

Hoeppner for IU, Volvano at NC St, Rick Tolley at Marshall are a few head coaches that come to mind, and of course we lost Schlarman.

The football staff is putting a solid class together and kept Walker/Brown. They have worked wonders with what they do have at their disposal. They have some support.
Yeah, but from people like you/Huber/Harris that are jumping through every hoop imaginable because you love the program. UK, and you know this, isn't even scratching the surface with organizing a legit NIL campaign.

LSU had a head football coach, Bo Rein, who was killed in a plane crash before he ever coached his first game. He had been the head coach at NC State and had won an ACC title, played at OSU. I think that was like the early 80's.

I just watched some highlights on HOB of our WR recruit from PRP, Jakob Dixon. Man, that dude may be a steal. Great combo of size & speed. Could see him ending up as a TE.

I'm loving the momentum that Stoops & Co. have been generating on the recruiting front. In both the portal and in HS.

Speaking of _Chase_, I was combing through Reddit after the Leach news broke and found some pictures of his "alleged" signature shortly after his TTU tenure ended.

He would sign his name and then put CJK5H at the bottom. It didn't take long for people to decipher that it was an acronym for Craig James Killed 5 Hookers.

While there's no proof he actually wrote that, it's about as on brand a thing for him to do, so I'm inclined to believe it.

Edit : Further digging has unveiled that someone requested that he sign it that way. He smirked, signed it then pulled plausible deniability when later asked about it stating, "I didn't know what I was signing ... I mean, I don't care."

What a rascal.

There seem to be a million Leach stories out there that are just amazing. Here's a good one.. hadn't seen it shared yet:

As an aside, 20+ years later, we allegedly had our actual play calls leaked to Heupel. So Leach was 2 steps and 20 years ahead of Scangarello. Wonder if Heupel was skeptical before realizing that we were really that stupid.

Another reason to hate Barnhart is that he wouldn't even consider Mike Leach.

What a legend.

How come [TAMU cadets] get to pretend they are soldiers? The thing is, they aren't actually in the military. I ought to have Mike's Pirate School. The freshmen, all they get is the bandana. When you're a senior, you get the sword and skull and crossbones. For homework, we'll work pirate maneuvers and stuff like that.

Bullitt East QB Travis Egan is Kentucky Mr Football, and not getting a sniff from any local schools.

Kid is a football player. Hopefully he lands somewhere!

-Had someone call in today trying to cancel their gym membership because Covid… 👀 they have a time machine or something? Did we go back two years? If you don’t want to go to the gym just say that and you have to come in person to try that excuse in person toots.

-Yeah @anthonys735 I was home for Xmas last year and weather was bs. All of December was like 60+, I was bummed.

-Go the okay from ownership to star correcting people (politely) incorrectly racking weights. Can. Not. Wait. And got my first guy today. Gonna need a board to mark the number of people I get by the end of Jan. It’s RAMPANT there and drives me crazy. Common courtesy honestly.

-Finally got a TENS machine today. Man I love these things. Quiets my horrible shoulder pain for hours. Highly recommend.

-Got a local primary care provider Tuesday. When they ask about “drugs” I tell them I smoke weed nightly before bed. Bro was super cool and said you know they passed that here and I’d be happy to help you get one next visit after I told him I’ve had a card for 5(I think) years in Florida. Still can’t buy it here but at least if I happen to get stopped with some I’d go on about my merry way.

Let’s get the shops going KY you’re so close.

-Slaying the personal training sales at work, 3 fold every month of the last Director. As they say do what you love and the money will come.

-I get irrationally pissed off when I see a picture of the Spicy Meatball and his MVP Louisville Slugger from the UK/UL game.

-Any GYERO folks heading to NYC?

- We need to get Leary AND a decent backup. We gotta have a guy who can throw a legit forward pass as the backup.

-Was Wheeler better last year? It sure feels that way. Is there a player from last years team who is better this year?

-The KSR poll on Twitter asking about beer at the Krog and 91% of 15,000 people voted for it. It’s hard to get 91 people out of 100 to agree on anything but there ya go.

Brohm will pick him up.

- I hope not just from the perspective that I’d like to cheer for him to succeed. His dad helps coach my 11YO’s group and the kid has been to my house several time for dinner and lunches when we feed the Co-Op kids before they go to work.

Western Ky should be all over him.

- What a ****** story to end Mike Leach’s life. Damn!

That said, I never wanted him at UK as head coach. I always loved to cheer for him from a distance and Texas Tech/B12 was perfect for him.

Sad

- ESPN is already pumping NFL mock drafts. Our boy is top 7 worse case scenario and the only thing stopping him from being #1 is whether or not Houston will overlook Bryce Young’s smaller than normal size.

- I thought we got Mertz? 2 years of eligibility.

I love football recruiting and seeing us overachieve, it will lead to something big soon enough.

- 12 more days until the dread of winter. It’s already getting boring as I brought Down Home sales to a halt to finish the year, and with Lumber stagnant leading into Christmas too, I am flat out bored.

- Extremely interested in the idea of getting a sauna.

Absolutely cannot WAIT for the impending tales rogue will share with us. The shenanigans and musings and silly antics of a workout gym manager.

He’ll spin yarns of members forgetting to wipe down benches and forgetting their key fobs and leaving their gallon water jugs laying in others way and remaining on a treadmill past the 30 minute allotment and moving weights from one room to the next and inappropriately asking “mind if I work in?” Oh joy. We are in for such. A. Treat.

Wheeler is much shittier at the rim and line, and about the same from 3. Glad he’s getting 34 mpg.

People should be able to cancel their gym membership with a click of the button and no reason needed.
I think that would be great. Just like my friend in chicago said when she gets Wi-Fi in her new place they just do it with the push of a button not some 4 hour window with a service call, but I digress.

When you sign a 12 month contract you don’t get to just opt out because you don’t feel like paying for it anymore. Once you’ve filled the 12 months you can quit anytime. But whether it’s silly or not they signed a contract.*

Businesses need guaranteed revenue and a decent guess of how much it’ll be. If everyone could just turn off their membership you’d have zero idea how much money you’d make month to month.

*I actually wish you could just turn it off and on too.

@PTI (pti) you’re aware I don’t work at Planet Fitness right…
