Barnhart clearly hates NIL. It would be a fantastic time for him to retire, imo.

He could leave gracefully and get the Tubby treatment. If he sticks around and monkeyf***s the football on the most important innovation in college sports since the one and done in basketball, the BBN will make him even more miserable than he is looking at unwed women's ankles and drinking caffeinated soda pop.

The two guys who helped to inexplicably drop $95 million into Mel Tuckers wallet are worth $4.5 and $7 billion. NOBODY with close ties to UK has that kind of cash, unfortunately.

Talk a big game all you want, but having a few guys worth multiple billions and ready to toss it around liberally is an awful nice shortcut. And we dont have that.

We have John Morgan. (But when I just googled his net worth, he’s not quite there.)

- If gun-to-head, I'm picking Phil Collins as the voice of my 80's childhood music. I worship the man's whole collection. "No Jacket Required" is all-time album and Sussudio still bangs to this day as it did while I was playing with WWF/He-Man figures in my bedroom. (that sounds kind of weird).

- That Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler feud was absolute genius and years ahead of its time. The fact that the whole time Kaufman was there and getting paid, he didn't cash one check--but framed them. He just wanted to entertain.

- The Keeneland/UK/local pub Halloween party parlay could be an absolute **** show of epic proportions, or a freaking all-timer. Early money is on skipping the party, and staying home after the ponies instead of listening to drunk hens at the bar.

- Hit a nice $50, 4-team parlay ($682), along with a Pick 3 at Keeneland for $230 Sunday to go to bed happy.

While we are at it, I'm all for anyone needing to get rid of their Breeders' Cup tickets? ha. Also, I think I am ALL-IN, HUGE money on Flightline in the "Classic".

I am not being facetious when I say this: horse could go down as an all-timer, perhaps one of the best.

Go watch the TVG Pacific Classic from Race 10 at Del Mar on 09/03/2022.

Domination like I've never seen against other G1-rated horses.

- I'd give anything to get off the school bus at my grandparents house again. Walk in the door and the smell of white beans (with corn bread) on the stove, two baking dishes of Rice Krispie's Treats and peanut butter fudge.

The pappy had a cig in hand and probably on his 20th beer. The cassette tape is softly playing Kenny Rodgers.

He waited until I ate and then went off to bed at 5pm. He would rebound around 10 for a bowl of Frosted Flakes, then back up at 4am to start it all over again.

- I just watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for the time since I was a child. Absolute masterpiece that I didn't appreciate as a youth. Every character/actor was spotless, but Mac and the Chief's relationship is the money shot for me. When Chief went to check on Mac at the end and see what happened, followed by him telling him loved him, then, well you know? Water station into the window for the win, too.

Also, Mac just adlibbing a World Series game while the others go wild is chills.

- I'll tell you what, flying a drone over beautiful scenery is something else.

-Well I sure couldnt find any when I was looking hmmm, weird or maybe they weren’t in the time parameters that I could do 🤷🏼‍♂️? Would’ve preferred that but don’t mind a little drive. Not far from Georgetown anyway.

Ever since Covid I’ve gotten very comfortable with putting on a podcast and just driving to the little towns around Central KY and super nice neighborhoods in the Keys.

Cynthiana, Paris, Stamping Ground, Maysville, Carlisle, Oxford, Owenton, Leesburg, Sadieville, Nonesuch etc. Especially this time of year they’re super pretty. Just grab the dog and go cruising.

-And man I can’t do the white-white-pasty-marbled look, just can’t. I’ve started going once a week just for some color, can’t be worse than living every day in the sun for a decade…
Hit up Yoders Dinner Bell Market in Flemingsburg for a salad or sandwich and give me a shout.

I was going to drop something about RJ Corman and his wife but then realized they had chump change compared to those guys. If he increased his money by 20 fold he’d be about tied with the guy with 4.5 🤦🏼‍♂️ wow.

It doesn't help that RJ died several years ago.

Evidently Brad Kelley is worth about $2 billion. Unfortunately he’s a recluse, doesn’t grant interviews, doesn’t use email, and seems to despise any public attention whatsoever. So good luck on that one.

Any other billionaires running around the Commonwealth?

I have more NIL ($) deals with the football program than any business in the state of KY. How about some of them step up. It’s a joke. My business should be about #100 on the list.

The crinkle cut fries at the Fburg DQ are the best fries on the planet and I’ll accept no arguments to the contrary.

Almost as good as the fried chicken at the May’s Lick Dinner Bell.

I haven't been there in a couple of years, but all their non-corporate menu offerings are outstanding.

It doesn't help that RJ died several years ago.
And Jay and his wife are divorcing, apparently. Even worse when one of them slings their separation like **** on Facebook.

Yeah, several. They're just more interested in horses than college sports.

Shorts:

- In hindsight maybe I shouldn’t have called 95% of GYERO “trash” multiple times. Perhaps I took things too far too quickly but I would appreciate, while in the constraints of CatPaw, people used my handle and not my name.

- Perfect fall morning. Damp from some overnight showers, full foliage, fiddy degrees. Wonderful.

- Brian Kelly is an unlikable SOB but the man can coach.

- Hugh Freeze is your typical hypocritical Jesus-proclaimin’ Southern evangical phony but the man can coach.

- Honestly, Jimbo can get pumped. I hear he’s fairly well liked in the industry but the guy comes off as a weasel to me.

- Meeting one of my longtime good friends from high school for happy hour at a place that has Great Lakes Christmas Ale on tap.

- Happy for Bryce Harper having his moment. Have always liked that guy.

- Taylor’s new album is fine but it’s no “Folklore.” Not even close.

- I want to be clear on this - I am perfectly fine and even encourage both teens and kids from other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat at my house. Teens if you want to enjoy being a kid another Halloween, awesome. Kids - you’re all welcome in my hood. Get as much of that candy as you’d like.

- What’s your sports media golf foursome? So you and any three sports media members playing 18, throwing in a dip, drinking some domestos. Mine:

Bill Simmons
Chuck Barkley
Wright Thompson

- I don’t know- have a feeling Stoops’ D has a little curveball for the Vols. Not sure we have enough offense tho.

- Any advice on hanging a large, heavy painting on exposed brick?

Let’s just say it’s pretty damn big. So you would advise drilling into the brick?
Yes, but you will def need a hammer drill and a good bit for it. Can get away with drilling into the mortar joint pending the weight but if it is really heavy I would be a little nervous it will hold the anchor in place over a period of time.

* The next time I hang around a big collection of GYEROers/WodieCrewers, I plan to walk into a room, and loudly proclaim "it's all dudes in here," but then caveat the statement while pointing to my friends and saying "except for these bitches."

Get ready. Totally @pwned.

* A great reminder that Darryl Dawkins used to name his dunks.

* Absolutely worship election day coverage. Cannot wait. It's the huge hand touch screens, and the way John King drills down on one county/neighborhood, and seems to know who every single resident is voting for to make projections. I eat up the drama and analysis.

Also: it's a guarantee that a huge percentage of poli-dweebs will be PISSED at one thing or another. I revel in their misery.

* Top 5 sharks I'd most like investing in me....

1> Robert (he's just so nice)
2> Mark (constant enthusiasm)
3> Daymond (huge fan of fubu, obvi)
4> Barbara (was probably hot like 30 years ago)
5> Mr Wonderful (he only picks winners)

Lori sucks. She needs a makeover.

* Today is a Chick Fil-A breakfast kind of day. I'm actually fortunate that we don't have many around town, and they aren't convenient to my neighborhood. Makes the visit a special treat. As God intended.

* I keep getting this popping up on social:

Arete Syndicate

Didn't think it was possible to out-bro culture/toxic masculinity Grant Cardone, and yet here they are.

* How is Mattress Mack NOT broke? Or, more importantly, how many gd mattresses is this guy selling???

He's got TEN MILLION on the Astros. 😂

* So the two $5 billionaire Michigan State guys gave Mel Tucker $95 million, but they are peasants compared to Dan Gilbert. Also a Sparty alum worth $15 bill. Jeez. Kentucky just doesn't have that type of $$$$ amongst it's alumni base. Sucks.

* The coal miner has all kinds of glamour shot/Olan Mills family photos of him in his work uniform......and his face is covered in dust. lol

He works his *** off. He's a great provider and a great man. But he appears to proudly walk around covered in dust. Whatever. Just wash yourself up, pal. I stand firm in my belief.

* Oscar buying a farm when his playing days are done. That's amazing. Gonna need some olds to chime in on Kentucky sports history -- has there ever been a better combination of a great person and a great athlete at UK than this guy??

* Need to put in a call to Dennis Felton. Add him as a special assistant to the defensive staff. That's the vibe were going for to win this weekend.

You can either do like rudd and alum00 recommend, or take it a step further and epoxy an embedded bracket into the brick if you think a tapcon won't hold.

The tapcon should be sufficient, and it would also allow you to remove it easier if you don't like it there.

QVC loyalty is definitely a thing, those people just assume they need 2-3 of everything on there....one for home, a few for gifts. The amount of sales per minute if you're watching is mind boggling, even for the most pointless of products.

In the Kitchen w/ David is a dope show, btw.

Like to see a post of him hugging her, she's got a scowl on her face, and it goes viral.
Putting holes in wall, for paintings, pictures, etc. is a necessity but I hate it. I mean how many Live, Love, Laugh bric-a-bracs does she need to put up??
If Huber can put Bully on a tractor and Brady can get autograph money, there's gotta be a thousand of those businesses in KY. Who's in charge of finding these guys? Shouldn't they be going through the Alumni directory like X and Trinity do? Can't be that hard.
