Having Jacquez Jones back would be helpful but man do I like watching Jackson and Wallace play in his absence. Heady players making plays.

Our defense can absolutely keep us in the game vs. UT and we can control the clock with a steady dose of C-Rod. Limit TO's / penalties / ST mishaps and we've got a shot, but that's asking a lot.

We have to be close to getting all the dumb **** out of our systems.

The game absolutely turned when they turned it over on downs and we got the field goal in the second quarter. Possible that Stoops understood that, but still wild to see that decision making on the FG.

Free sample day at Publix *and* the local package store yesterday. Big times for your boy. Lady was passing out samples of some high dollar bourbon from Columbus, damn, OH.

Talked her up, but she was crestfallen when dad walked back by her with a fifth of Wild Turkey in hand. Enjoy, toots.

Have fun with your special season STATE.

Really believe that the FG just before halftime was more about getting Ruffalo’s mind back to normal than it was taking another chance.

It was odd in game, but Ruffalo and Poore were in sync after that and if that’s what needed to be then good.
I also don't think they trusted the clock operator to know exactly how much time was left and just decided to take the points.

On the field goal before half, my thoughts were that Stoops went for it on 3rd in case we had a ****** snap. ****** snap, fall on it and try again on fourth down. At least that is how I rationalized it, and lets not pretend the snaps have been good the last several games.
We didn't have any timeouts because of that horrible QB draw call. So the clock would have easily run out if we had chosen to fall on a bad snap.

Bizarro *** game management that we just have to kinda deal with at this point.

- Was shocked by the lack of STATE fans at the game, tbh. They came in here rolling so I assumed they'd be everywhere and awful.

False. We used our timeout on that QB sneak. So a bad snap would've run the clock out.

He said he just wanted the points on the board, especially getting the ball at half. Thought it was psychologically important for the team.

I was pissed at the time, but suppose I get it. The 3 did prove to be valuable.

I mean a lot of bad **** could have happened by taking another shot given our line.
This is how I felt. It could have definitely been managed better, but I was glad to be tied going into the half since we got the ball first in the second half.

I mean, we did throw an awful pick 6 later in the game. That would've sucked if it happened right before the half as we were about to score.

Spoke to Miss St fan on way out, he could not explain why they didn't travel. I thought an October trip with Keeneland was a mandatory travel.
He said our crowd was as loud as LSU. I'm deaf so I'll defer to him.
Blue-White cheer is unnecessary when we really just need constant loudness to get offense off rhythm.
Wacka Flacka disrupting C-A-T-S cheer was something.
Peeve- People coming in an hour before game and trying to find a parking spot in your lot.
C-Rod is the straw that stirs the drink.

The QB sneak and FG were just bad playcalls. Especially after the offsides. Give Levis 1 more attempt to throw the ball and then kick. Probably just demons from Ole Miss game coming out is the more likely answer.

Blue-White cheer is awesome and great for 2nd downs.

I thought it was weird State fans all bailed with 5+ minutes left and down by 10. With that offense they can score with the quickness.

The play would have been a fade to Key, which they would have known and probably double teamed resulting in a pick and no points. Taking the 3 worked out.

- I have it on good authority that Levis put on a show at the Manning Passing Academy and Peyton is a big fan thus the reason he picked us.

Who knows if it matters, but I love catching Tennessee like this. After two weeks of smelling their own farts, Hooker for Heisman, and thinking about the college football playoff, they may not even remember who they're playing that Saturday.
Possible. They play UT Martin this week and will win by 50 points. The week after us they play Georgia.
