JJ Weaver isn't on the depth chart for this Saturday. If he can't play this weekend, it wouldn't surprise me to see them keep him on the shelf until we go to Tennessee. It also wouldn't surprise me if he is out for the rest of the year (or at least until a bowl game).

Our two jack linebackers are both true frosh -- Afari and Wade. Those guys have looked outstanding thus far but it is not ideal to go into Oxford with a true freshman starter at strongside linebacker who is essentially a big safety. Thankfully Brad White has proven especially adept at scheming around depth issues, like with our cornerbacks last year.

I'm glad the WiFi at Kroger Field worked well enough during the game to see Huber threaten on Twitter to burn down the entire stadium.

The level of red *** I was from the way that piece o **** UK 101 guy spoke to me about "too many people in your seats" set me off. I got a call from the Assistant AD about those tweets, and I haven't returned his call yet because im so pissed, I know i'm just going to come off like an *******.

Yes we had two extra very small children in MY ROW (I have every ticket from one end to the other), so we weren't taking someone's seat or squeezing anyone out, just two very small children. I understand we were breaking "the rules" but just speak to me normally. He came at me right off the bat like we had some history of issues and was red *** yelling at me from the start. Show respect, get respect. Be a dick, and I'll be a dick back. That old blue coat douche needs to go.

10" - 20" of rain across most of central/north Florida is going to be hell. Historic flooding.

Went to the Stoops radio show last night at Malones. Very impressed with the food they had and of course the drinks. Stoops took pictures and mingled and Tony Neely came over and talked as well. Solid evening.

Headed to Kiawah Saturday, as of now forecast looks very pleasant Sunday thru Friday, going to expect wind and rain on the drive down and hopeful Hurricane doesnt effect us much.

Catching a bit of a break with early game at Ole Miss, imo. Crowd wont be quite as wild as a night game. I got us winning 28-24.

Think we pick up Bradshaw on the basketball side. Things are looking good for the next few years. I still believe Cal gets a 2nd title before he leaves.

If you own a house, and you evacuate for a hurricane, you will want to get back to your home as soon as possible after the storm to evaluate its condition. And you may be without power but there is really no alternative to being there, cleaning up, making sure everything is safe, and so forth.

If you live in an apartment or condo, getting out of town and staying away until power is back on is right move.

I had quite a few friends that toughed it out and stayed after the hurricane last year in New Orleans. Most were without power for about a week. Considering these people have money/family/resources, that's just totally inexplicable to me. I get the romanticism, if you will, of staying in town and helping your community, neighbors, etc, but when it's 90+ degrees and you have no ac or electricity, life is absolutely miserable. For us, leaving was the easiest decision in the history of decisions.

I've talked to people who lived in South Miami during Andrew and in the aftermath there people had to guard their homes from looters. Of course, that storm is the worst case scenario. But, we stayed at home (Ft. Lauderdale area) during Hurricane Wilma (2005) and it knocked own some trees and a lawn shed in our back yard. I would not have wanted to be somewhere else and worrying about the condition of our home after the fact. We were without power for at least a week and that was awful.

- KISS is great if you don't take them, or yourself, too seriously. If you can't enjoy "Crazy Crazy Nights," "Shout It Out Loud," or "Rock and Roll All Nite," you need to lighten up. It's tongue-in-cheek party rock. Having said that, seeing them live in full costume when they're all 70+ doesn't sound great.

- I love concerts; always have. Saw Billy Joel in Cincy this time last year and ended up running into my college roommate. That lead to reconnecting with some other college buddies and now the gang's back together, 30 years later. Go figure. Running into him in a packed Great American Ballpark makes you reconsider fate. Anyhow, going to see Elton John in Nashville on Sunday. I don't know what I'm going to do when all of these guys finally hang it up for good.

- Just back from our first overseas trip since before Covid. Started in London and worked our way up through Wales and ended in Scotland. If we had done the trip in reverse, the Queen's death would've royally (no pun intended) screwed up our plans. Luckily she died while we were in Wales and was out of Edinburgh by the time we arrived. Managed to hit a few bucket list destinations: St. Andrews, for obvious reasons; Doune Castle, where most of Monty Python's Holy Grail was filmed; and Bron-Yr-Aur, which only Bonzo might care about.

- It's amazing how open St. Andrews is, including the Old Course. They hand you a map at the clubhouse and you're good to go. If someone's teeing off at 18, you need to give way, obviously, but once they're done you can go out to Swilcan bridge and take pictures to your heart's content until the next group hits the tee. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Outside the Old Cource clubhouse is The Himalayas putting green which I really wish we'd had time to play. All ages were out playing it; not a stuffy atmosphere at all. Pleasant surprise.

- After two weeks of driving in the UK, I can honestly say that Americans as a whole can't drive for ish. Say what you want about driving on the left, roundabouts, etc., but the Brits are great drivers.

- I've got a lot of political opinions, but meh.

- Our fans can be insufferably self-loathing. Seriously. Many just don't know how not to be dissatisfied. We're 4-0 and ranked #7 in the country...without one of our best players...in football. I'm good with that. But you've got the young money that doesn't realize how long the journey has been to this place, and you've got the old money that has been pissed off for so long that they know nothing else. Just enjoy the ride, man.

- Basketball, OTOH...get pumped Cal. We're a football school until you prove otherwise. Jagoff. I'm down on college basketball in general though. Most of the heroes and villains are gone or on their way out. Player turnover is way too fast to form bonds. Players like Tshiebwe are few and far between. I don't know...it just doesn't have the same magic for me that it once did.

- CMD top 5 can't miss podcasts:
  1. Spitballers
  2. Fantasy Footballers
  3. KSR
  4. Ruthless
  5. Megyn Kelly
- CMD top 5 can't miss streaming series:
  1. Cobra Kai
  2. Stranger Things
  3. Only Murders In The Building
  4. Evil
  5. Great British Baking Show (i freely admit it; gfy)

Cat4, 1 and 3 year old, most likely gonna lose power… easy decision for us. GTFO was the call.
That makes sense, we just had two dogs so whatever you know?

Grew up going to Kiawah, what a cool place. Enjoy.

Fairly certain TSK's family ran that guy out of town. They weren't happy with his work... at all.
Bernie: Hey man, this vodka and xanax thing is off the record (had anxiety attack).
Him: Sure thing. No problem.

I don't think he and I have the same definition of, "off the record."

I read the article around tournament time every year and get a good laugh out of it.

LOL. The White House wants the Atlanta Braves to change their name. Not a fan but would adopt them as a 2nd team if they told the WH to gfy.

We made a bit of a diff decision and went down to Miami by the airport. Seems weird at first but think it’s not going to be as bad here (knocks on wood). Have already ran into several others from our area too so we aren’t alone.

My buddy went north to Gainesville last night and is already on the move again. This is what I wanted to avoid. I’ll gladly take a couple days of tropical storm conditions than try to avoid everything and be on the move for 2-3 days. I told him if going north to just go to northern Georgia.

Read Huber’s tweets and good for him for calling out those 101 guys. Had a couple bad experiences with them in the past… I don’t get the arrogance for someone with their “title”.
