How does a coach put in a kicker that’s never kicked in a game in for a raucous road game
In overtime and think it’ll go well?

Man, that was one hell of a College football Saturday. 🔥🔥🔥

-Even Hal Mumme thought it was a terrible decision to go for it on your own 25 with three timeouts left. Napier might be a decent coach but also a knucklehead.

-Two gimmie games next but it’s hard not to already look at that one in Oxford. Maybe Kiffin or one of these tv heads will say something to piss off our team again.

-Roman Harper has been terrible since he’s been on SECN -plus he looks like he should be a fill in on a Sanford n Son remake.

Valentine and Smith really held things down (and sealed the win for us). While this team doesn't have a Paschal / Allen type that will terrify an opposing QB with constant pressure, it's much better at making their lives hell by staying completely sound in coverage and technique. Felt like Greg finally hit it on the head on the late game WR screen where the safety came up to make the play, this defense is extremely well coached and smart. And deep.

Queue me up for the BradyJames hope bus. Our LB'ers can matchup with UGA's legendary TE's and we have the advantage of being at home. Sky's the limit.

Some more thoughts:

- We’ve had the better team/program for the last 5-6 years, and they know it.

- These SEC “personalities” really don’t like that the Cats are coming for their stuff. We’ve bellied up to the table and they’re uncomfortable!

- Feels good to stop a Heisman campaign in its tracks instead of being the team that ignites it. I guess we still need to “see more” from AR15.

- My HS freshman daughter is crazy about UK Athletics now. She’s interested in sports journalism and follows every social media platform. Her takeaway last night: “That’s so cute! His name is ‘Valentine’ and his number is 14!”

Ohhh, now I get it.

I got to watch my University of Kentucky Wildcats beat Florida in their house, AGAIN, sitting at my in-laws house with my dad and my little brother (and my fiance's whole extended family) during our wedding shower, which was a giant very-well-liquored party. That was pretty GD special. Haven't gotten to enjoy a big Cats football win with my dad and bro in several years so it meant a lot to have them in town 🥲

I can't wait to see my 90 year old grandpa today to hear how jacked he is about this team. FOOTBALL SCHOOL.

Also, I love how much Herbstreit *gets* Mark Stoops.

"We may win,” Stoops said. “We may lose. But by God we’re going to be tough."

Boy oh boy howdy! 🤠 What a win! They weren’t the gators of ol but we aren’t the Cats of ol either.

anth is right, after that pick and a couple other plays, AR looked LOST and like he had given up. It was in his eyes.

It’s like seeing a UFC fighter escaping a round that knows his goose is cooked and he has to go out and take that whipping anyway though.

We were the upstart, and people were tripping all over themselves to root for us. You had condescending fans from other programs coming to our board to congratulate us, give compliments, tell us how much respect how we play. You had the media rooting for us as underdogs.

But now, we’re legit. We’ve arrived. We’re threats. And you’re starting to get a different vibe from other SEC fanbases, media, etc.

F’em. I prefer it this way.

The Swamp is very, very loud, gotta give 'em props. Great place to watch a game. All the fans we interacted with were very nice and welcoming, even after the game.

Didn't realize until watching highlights this morning that Key bobbled that TD catch a bit. Wow that was close. Also, that missed FG took one hell of a left turn late in the trajectory.

Can't say enough about the defense.

Play CRod and Go Cats!

I kinda feel like now maybe the CRod situation becomes an advantage for us. We come out of Florida with a win, the offensive line is figuring things out and now has two games coming up where we will be heavily favored. Then we get our best RB back with fresh legs and a more experienced line to help him as we head into the meat of the SEC schedule.

Agreed. It’s actually going to end up helping us since we got the UF win. The last half of the season we’ll have a pretty fresh CRod hopefully and pound some teams to death…

Coffee hittin right this morning.

Defense was smothering, made huge plays, tackled well. Didn’t hurt that AR was complete trash. Missed several open receivers early.

2 biggest takeaways:

OL figured something out in the second half. Will have to listen to some football junkies (Freddie and Luckett) break it down to figure out what the adjustment was.

We got a huge win without CRod. He should be back for the rest of the big games on the schedule. High ceiling got higher.

The play action throws to the tight ends are just beautiful. Dingle was a beast

Felt like that opened up the run some in the second half.

When Flax got tossed and Levis blasted in the first quarter I thought we were in trouble. Props to the team for being tougher than them.
