There were several plays like that throughout the game. Noticed a lot more of it the second time watching it but I’m plenty confident in our defense against Florida, even though I know Richardson will get a few big runs.

I legit feel we didn’t overly use Brown or Upshaw to keep them off UF’s radar too.

So essentially it’s what UNC did for 25-30 years only we hold ours accountable?

I think we best UF without those who are suspended. Then we have 2 games to grow together so as long as we are ready for Ole Miss and past it then we are good.

Georgia Tech should have never abandoned the triple option.

I think I saw on a graphic that Clemson has zero on the roster from the transfer portal. Seems like this will catch up to them soon if not already.

Yeah we took a BIG step back on the oline. But we can’t discount we have a more experienced QB, better special teams by a mile with the kick/punt returns, better WR’s and TE’s (as a group). We covered the spread with ease missing several quality players.

The dream of Atlanta is alive and well.

I seriously believe UK had 4-5 seasons in the past 10 yrs where we had the best or near best O line though

They didn't QUITE get that level of accolade - but I LOVE the fact that we've seen VERY consistent wins / progressions in recruiting and development

I'm not an *** kisser (although ironically, I WAS doing something JUST like that in bed. mere 20 mins ago) -- but PTI's posts carry more weight per word than most anything else on Das Katze Pz

Commercials that actually succeed and put a repeating catch phrase and/or DITTY in your head for a span?

  • We are FARMERS - dum'de dum DE DUM DUM DUMBASS
  • Any audio piece that ends with the phone number spoken in that urgent / friendly pace --- 3 times
  • The whistling track included on Old Spice ads -- and that ones a return to glory of an older commercial
  • ...?
There are old beer commercial formats that should return

  • Madden (similitude) and a small contingent of sports personalities in a bar,,,,,tastes great or less filling?
  • The FOOD CENTRIC Lowen Brau & Old Milwaukee commercials for ****** piss spew.....that somehow goes perfectly with fresh seafood and steaks
  • The subtly threatening corporate PSA's fm Boeing urging you to fly NOW to see loved ones - cause (cut to Iranian hostage bits) 'you never KNOW when it'll be too late"

Best fruit to grow at home in Central Ky?
Pears?

Had small test yields for pepper and tomatoes this year - planning larger scope raised beds for spring

12 day trip to Lexington/Indy Randoms...

- Two separate 14 hour drives with a 3 and a 1 year old went about as well as one could expect. The trip up took a few hours longer due to some bad weather but the trip back from Indy split over 2 days was a breeze. Give the 3 year old a fully charged iPad with 4 movies and she is all set.

- I'll be the first to admit that I'm the least tech savvy person there is but I have no idea how I didn't get to watch the game on Sat. A buddy has ESPN+ and was watching at his home in Lex. He logged out and gave me his info so I could watch at a hotel in Indy. Didn't work. He tried again. It worked. His theory was because I was in a location that didn't offer SEC network. He had another buddy (in a non-SEC network location) try and he couldn't see it either. Pretty much eliminated any chance I'll ever sign up. I mean what's the f'n point? Isn't streaming a thing so you can watch from wherever you are? Had to go old school with Tom and Jeff on 840 WHAS.

- Speaking of Tom, seems to me he has taken a big drop in his football PBP. Used to love listening to him but man, it was a tough listen. Slower calls, some hesitation/stuttering in his words...just didn't seem as sharp.

- Seeing the variability in gas prices for half the country on I75 and I65 continues to amaze me. I understand where the geography could create a bit of a variance but I saw $1-$1.20 differences just a few miles apart.

- Can't get cold beer in a gas station in Indiana?! Warm beer is OK but can't be cold. GTFOH with that non-sense.

- Had a blast at our family reunion on my mom's side. She is 1 of 10 so there was about 60-70 people in attendance. Wish my kids could see their cousins more often but we will take what we can get. Side benefit: spending a week with my parents in Sept means that I don't have to come up in cold weather months.

- Put me in the camp of I do not understand why C-Rod is suspended. He didn't break any laws and did what any normal person would do. The supervisor should be held accountable, not the employee.

- When a hotel advertises as a "suite" that usually means the bedroom is doored off from the living room. This is true for everywhere but the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Franklin, IN.

- Speaking of hotels, is there a better value than an Embassy Suites? $150/night....always clean, free booze/snacks from 5:30-7:30, and a solid breakfast.

- Had to go into the office in Lex for 3 days which meant "business casual". First time in dress pants in 5.5 years. Hadn't had a haircut in 14 mos which drew some looks but hey, who gives a ****? Boss wants a quarterly or semi-annual visit. Hard pass.

- Gainesville in 3 days!

Rich Brooks benching Jlo for Shane Boyd gave all of us a reason to doubt him. Ron Hudson can still EAD.
Yep, worst part were Mark May and Rodney Gilmore were on ESPN calling for Boyd to be the QB. Fortunately, thins worked out. Lorenzen got his groove back, Gilmore was demoted to color analyst and May is MIA.

I loved Guy, and that ‘02 team has always been one of my favorites.

Peak Jared Lorenzen
Artose Pinner leading the SEC in rushing
Quentus Gumby layin wood
Glenn Pakulak (22 reps @ 225 at the NFL Combine, btw)
Glenn Holt
Derek Abney setting records

His contribution and that team have always been undervalued by Kentucky fans, imho.
Yup, Glenn Holt and his 4 catches that year really made a major impact.

Replace him with Aaron Boone and you're solid.

Pssssssht 😤, I can do #225 22 times, also being 40 it’s probably easier than at 22, old man strength and whatnot. #NotAHumbleBrag

Are we really giving up on a Florida win? Most media seems to think so, already have UF in the Sugar Bowl.

They got lucky against Utah. They underestimated the swamp, we will not. Utah listened to the national CFB media, and were feeling themselves.

Floridas defense has a ton of holes, and not much depth. Their offense was carried by Richardson. Keep him in front of us, and force him to throw it.

IMO, UK is in the perfect position. UF expects to roll over us, that’s when we play our best. Hopefully the first game jitters are gone, and our team resembles the 2nd half vs MOH.

Levis should carve that defense up. With our RBs being shorthanded, I expect a few designed QB runs.

-Utah is a decent team that is getting way too much credit for "competing" with ohio* in the rose bowl.

*their D was horrible last year...and they had multiple offensive threats opt out to prepare for the draft.

-it'll be a tough game on the road. Looking forward to it.

-too many folks living in the past...time to realize UK is a damn good football team now.

I saw nothing from us in week1 that changed my opinion that we will win in the swamp. Utah was over ranked and still should have won. We cruised to a comfortable 24 pt win playing vanilla offense.

Boyd reminded me of Richard Madison (basketball/mid 80s)

Obviously gifted athletically -
SHOULD readily be a critical component to bog wins

Never quite materialized as being a football player "first"

(both were elite baseball players right?)
