- Absolute perfect weekend, weather-wise. Oktoberfest here in town.
Opened the windows this morning and the polka music has been pleasantly inviting itself inside.
That Groundhog Day, "Pennsylvania Polka" song is always anticipated, but never played.
Meetwurst 7.4, sauerkraut balls 6.8
Festival: of-the-charts
- Give me some fried eggs over my biscuits and gravy.
- The guy turned out to be a horrible person, but I am still not sure I can find a better stand-up performance than Bill Cosby's "Himself." Just a 90-minute show with the audience in his hand.
Okay, take that last line however.
- Montana-to-Taylor and Hill-to-Laettner were the lowest of lows in my sports fandom emotions as a kid, but that foul ball catch by Todd Benzinger to sweep the A's in the 1990 World Series was an awesome piece of meat in-between those two sour loafs of bread.
- RIP, video stores. But working at one of those as a teen was glorious.
* Movies galore to watch while work.
* Having friends come over and play the newest video games.
* Endless popcorn/candy
* Seeing the regulars renting soft-core porn on a Friday night. NOTE: We checked out those movies before we put them out.
- Full force track first Friday, but hitting "The Hill" for Keeneland that Saturday. If any of you GYEROs are there that day, hit me up. Let's do a Pick 3.
- I've built a boners for Chris Livingston and Adou Thiero.
- German food and domestic beers calling my name.
