Casey committed to UK but the staff slowly backed off and Casey then turned towards other teams like Arkansas. I’m guessing the UK staff found out grades were going to be an issue.

-Couch basically has a Gold's Gym in his basement per those pictures in his real estate listing a few years ago. Dude is yoked and I'm sure he's still on the sauce.

-Cooperstown is worth the hype. The museum is just amazing. Can't wait to take the boys there when they're old enough to appreciate it.

-I get why a really pregnant WOMAN would wear a n95. Believe a few concerning studies have come out recently, granted I'm not following that **** anymore. Regardless, even those offer pretty limited protection and need to be regularly switched out. Just don't force them only on kids again and I don't care what anyone else does. Double up in your car alone. Ride in one on a bike trail all by yourself. Wear matching family masks through the airport, how cute!!

-Beyonce is the worst thing to ever happen to Jay Z. For that I hate her. Repulsive tbh.

-3 best QBs of my sports fandom are all from KY. Weird take.

-Speaking of divas, J-Lo is unreal. Is she the hottest 50+ year old ever? Still flawless and doesn't look fake.

-PTI is an idiot. I've posted on here (check search history) about yacht rock like 10 times over the years. Love soft rock, grew up listening to all that **** in my parents cars. Smartest dumbass I know.

-Summer is flying, as strokin noted, days getting shorter already, but yearning for fall is a fools errand because of what follows.

-Watched a very janky version of Maverick and keep expecting a lifelock alert saying all my accounts are gone.

-If John Wick is on I'm watching it.

-BHVAC(PE) should be open for biz in the BG market within the next few weeks for you beautiful South Central folks.

-JLO has just never done it for me. Not a big latina guy tbh.

-Took the lass to see Elvis Friday night. Loved it. He truly was the King of Kings. Austin Butler is incredible, but as good as he was, when they showed some real footage of The King towards the end it made me realize he ain't Elvis. There was only one.

-Rich stopped by yesterday to drop off a hat I left in his car after last fall's Tennessee game. We talked football for a solid 20 minute. Shew... timely. I feel like we could have both come off the edge and ripped someone's head off after that. Before he got in the car he looked and assured me that he would *always* be a Kentucky Wildcat. Good seeing him.

-Boy and I played some football Saturday afternoon. Not sure I was ready to see that dude say "hut hut hike" and then complete a pass to his old Man. Made me realize we were just getting started, bro.

-Loved the story of LCA going down and cleaning all of Breathitt Co.'s football equipment, trophies, etc. Well done to anyone here who may be associated with the program.

-Finau is unreal. Strong contender to replace Lefty as my guy (after JT) as I'm not watching this LIV ********.

-Member Guest this weekend. Lass taking the kids out of town Thursday-late Sunday. Chicago buddy coming down and playing. Pretty much why we do this at 40 years old. I'm worried for myself, though. That's too much time for me and my vices without spousal supervision.

-Speaking of a lack of personal discipline, I smoked two butts Saturday. Of course I then took drunk Saturday night and left them on two hours longer than needed, then wrapped and placed in a cooler around midnight, setting an alarm for around 3:00 am to wake up shred. Slept through that, naturally. Woke up at 6:30 am, one was tougher than it should have been, the other was damn near perfect. Nice little practice for fall.

-Wynn gummies referral made to a buddy's stressed & angry wife. The CHILL/Indica ones, that are just perfect for Dad. Looking forward to the feedback once she gives it a shot.

Heirloom tomato, basil & Mozz salad for lunch (olive oil/balsamic). You know it’s summer now.

Local news up here had me infuriated this morning describing the eastern Ky flooding. They thought it was important, after showing a trailer park flooded, to show a copperhead snake in a tree for about 20 seconds of a 35 second blurb… then a woman parks service with a ridiculous hat handling a similar snake…. Way to go NYC. Way to represent the area and the tragedy with empathy and accuracy to raise awareness to the severity of the situation. Dickheads.

working from home… thank goodness. Monkeypox is now a thing in the City.

4.5 days ‘til vacation. wish it were Positano, but maybe next year.

Once again, thanks so much to our resident Libertarians who “don’t GAF what you do!” showing so much passion for what others are doing. It’s so nice to have you all as a resource. How can one internet thread be so blessed with so many who know so much about everything?

“Well, hon - some great news. I know you were skeptical about the advice of our pediatrician and your OBGYN, along with the local epidemiologist, but some guys on the message board don’t have a problem with you wearing a mask either- although they assure me it won’t help at all. Just make sure you’re really showing the baby bump when you wear it. Maybe even a halter top. Last thing we need is judgment from Hankshaker.”

Back from PCB. Had a great trip, kids all played great and had just enough beach time to come back with a nice brown tan. Did a terrible job of following the dermatologists orders. I’ve got no discipline when it comes to the sun. I’m absolutely addicted to it’s harmful rays.

my oldest is getting to the age (13) where baseball is starting to become more serious. He has goals of a college scholarship, which I believe is probably on the table. Not saying he’s D1/MLB like WWMFTH boy, but he’s got a college future if he puts the work in. He told me last week he wanted a Twitter to start showcasing his work and to “meet big booty latinas”. 🤞

The 2022 travel season officially ended for us Saturday. We’ve got tryouts this weekend.

8/1 is when I get the real college football bug. Yes, we’re still in the dog days of summer but there’s still a vibeshift this time every year that gets me back to listening to cfb podcasts, picking up the athlon magazines, maybe even tuning in to the leach report. Right on the cusp of the best time of the year.

picked up a pretty cool contract here in lex on a demo. Hoping to get some cool memorabilia. Will post if so.

time to pop a snus and delete unread emails

Remember when the CDC said getting COVID when you’re outside is practically impossible and almost nonexistent and undocumented and then 2 years later you still see people wearing masks outside all the time? Even when theyre alone not near anyone?
While also undoubtedly being vaxxed and boosted.

- You got to win the ballgames but it’s a great time to be a Kentucky fan. Our football team is picked second in the East with a Top 10 NFL pick at QB. Our basketball team returns the NPOY and is consensus Top 3-5 with a ridiculous recruiting class waiting in the wings. Our school is secure amid the chaos of realignment. It’s a good time to be a Kentucky fan.

- Got no time for these loud obnoxious Jersey/NY college basketball analysts like Rothstein, Fanta and Finklestein.

- Found myself at the Kenwood Mall last weekend and to my surprise a bit, it still seems to be a hang out for teenagers. Was good to see.

- Been reading of late about the state of social media, Facebook’s struggles, backlash to Instagram’s new feed, the rise of Tik Tok, this new Gen Z sensation BeReal, etc. Pretty fascinating stuff. Wonder how close we are to a counter to this online culture. Maybe it’s too far gone.

- Izzo and Michigan State do a helluva job going into Indiana for recruits. Really everyone does - UK, Michigan, Duke, UNC. Has to kill Indiana fans losing so much homegrown talent.

- Any Shameless fans in here? Lip is in a new show on FX/Hulu called The Bear which is really good. More or less plays the same character.

- Flying out Friday. Nervous cancellations and whatnot, especially with a toddler, but have to assume travel should be dipping a bit after a ferocious June/July.

- I just can’t wait. Besides getting to see the Cats play a game, going to be laying by the beach and pool, going boating, doing some fishing. Drinking some Kaliks. I need some time away. Also pumped to see our friends and family. By the time I return, will be halfway across the August bridge with sweet sweet September within view.

Monday Randoms:

- Joe Casey was committed to UK. He had no chance of making it to college though. Dude got hit by a car when he was a kid and left him with brain damage. He had the mental capacity of a 10 YO.

- my grandmother broke her hip the other night. She is one tough lady, called my mom to help her get ready before calling 911 to send an ambulance. Emergency surgery yesterday went better than expected per the surgeon.

- helping move friends as an adult definitely sucks. Just moved everything a guy owns because he can't do it.

- broke the thumb on my righthand a couple of weeks ago. It's very weird when you first start trying to do things like button/zip your pants without using your thumb. It's also amazing how quickly you adapt and learn how to make do.

- the weather this summer has been atrocious. I get those who don't like the ******* of winter, but 98 degrees with all the humidity is just as awful.

- Nice pickup for the football team this morning. A hard hitting LB from GA that reminds me a bit of Trevathan.

- football team reports this week 🍆

So, Kyle Tucker hinting Cal is going to announce the addition of a game with Gonzaga for next season.

Unfortunately, it will end up being the Gonzaga University located in Hawaii.

Pretty much a win-win with that kid...

-Learns the system in a no-pressure situation
-Battles Oscar/Collins/Ware every day in practice
-Can step in and burn his redshirt if the injury bug hits (and will do so, unlike Sharpe)
-Still too raw to be considered an NBA draft pick, so he shouldn't be tempted to leave before playing here
-Insurance in case Bradshaw goes elsewhere next year

Really impressed with his trajectory and his commitment interview.

Add either Holland or reclass Ian Jackson and let’s roll.

I think I’d prefer Jackson and then put Edwards at the 4 but either gives you everything you’d want in a modern lineup, especially considering returnees.

Edwards isn’t playing 4. It will be a miracle and/by roster makeup necessity if Toppin does. Learn Cal.

All that aside, Edwards & his game are about as natural of a pure wing as we’ve had from an elite recruit. I’m all for small ball in ANY situation, but I love Edwards as our 3, don’t really agree with your 4 preference *here; he’s not Brooks or even MKG.

Kid can do it all at a high level. Not the typical “raw” Cal wing. Jmo

But also, 3/4 really mean nothing in our system so it’s basically irrelevant. Definitely FOR a 3 guard attack.

I’m fine with Edwards as a 3 but if you can get Jackson, give me as many creators/buckets on the floor as possible.

Edwards can play with anyone on both ends. Incredibly versatile on offense and the potential to be elite and switchable on D.

Absolutely love the kid already. Very happy with this class - and we’re not done yet.

With the trade deadline approaching quickly- just not sure we are gonna get this Griner/Russian Warlord deal over the line.

Daughter will be 6 months tomorrow and that just seems like it went by extremely fast.

Golf girl instagram continues to get stronger and stronger. These gals basically need to hold Paige Spiranac and Blair O'Neal up like PGA players do Tiger as those girls created the market years ago.

Yes, these Ricky Henderson batting gloves were pretty sick...

But I was partial to the classic Franklins
