She is a meth head. To me she is flat out disgusting, but something keeps a lot of these losers around.

My coworkers joke she must have a golden P, because nothing else adds up.

It’s the wildest mess I’ve ever seen!

Yea, so in this case the mother of my wife’s nieces and nephew, showed up late, a wreck, and had different counsel she hired in May and we aren’t sure what happened to the other counsel for the last 14 months.

However, today was a motion filed by the mom so as he explained due to incomplete info in the file and other things he did not want to proceed TODAY with the motion.

As she enters the judge asks if she agrees and she says “I want my kids back I miss them”. So the judge explains what her counsel has stated and gives her a chance to shut up and let him save her ***. But she disagrees and want to move forward today.

At which point he literally said I’m not prepared so you have to call witnesses and get testimony.

I mean, credit given as she tried her best, but she had no clue! County attorney objected to just about everything she tried and her guy gave a few chuckles, scratched his head a few times and in general watched the show.

It legit felt like the scene in big daddy when Sandler’s dad is called upon to question.

Before the decision against return of custody was given, her counsel went on record based on some statute he wasn’t responsible for questioning etc etc etc of anything that happened today and muttered Id like off this train wreck just loud enough we all heard.

Judge spewed an I don’t blame you, denied the request and it was over.
Pretty much par for the course. I'm being 100% serious and not using hyperbole -- there ought to be a lot more tazings in neglect and abuse court, especially lately. This summer is the worst I've ever seen it when it comes to parents' behavior and I've done it for ten years.

I have no idea what they are putting in the meth lately but I've seen a lot more acting out than normal (and we are largely talking about people accused of drug addiction and domestic violence). There was a time a few years ago where a lot of people got into synthetic weed and they'd do really weird **** like try to take apart their microwave, etc. and come up with truly bizarre conspiracy theories but even those people weren't usually openly antagonistic, by and large.

Pro tip if you are an absolute prick and accused of child neglect -- tell the social worker that you are part of an Indian tribe. Holy **** is that a pain in the *** to deal with, especially when it is just some cracker claiming to be Cherokee or whatever. It invokes federal law and makes everyone involved wanted to murder the idiot claiming to be Chief Wigwam.

Sadly, the federal law on that is there for a damn good reason. But now there is always a regular accusation by idiots that social workers get a cash bonus for putting kids in foster care, which is utterly false in Kentucky. Back in the day, however, missionaries and whatnot would pay adoption agencies, etc to seize kids from Indian reservations under the flimsiest of premises so the federales made it illegal to not notify an Indian tribe of a child being placed in foster care so the tribe could try to find a suitable person to take custody.

This makes perfect sense in that context. Now any time some idiot in Pikeville or wherever claims he or she is kin to Elizabeth Warren, overworked and underpaid social workers have to deal with that stupid ****.

Shorts:

- I mean yeah- the two mega conference theory has been bouncing around for years and has been obvious since the SEC added Oklahoma/Texas. Is it better for us fans and alumni? No. Will the sport be better? No. Will people and institutions get richer? Yes. Welcome to the 2020s.

- Watched Project X again for the first time in years. I’m always down for a high school party movie for the sake of nostalgia.

- Hit up Ghost Baby last weekend for a drink. It’s pretty awesome. If you’re having a special evening, definitely hit it up. It’s an old beer sellar four stories underground from the pre-refrigeration days. Now, it’s a speakeasy in OTR- cocktails, jazz, etc. @anthonys735 would love it.

- Lol at the Browns.

- Enjoyed the “Father of the Bride” remake with the always-outstanding Andy Garcia.

- I see the Dillingham/Brandon Jennings comps the most clearly. Kid is electric. Wagner maybe a tad better but this dude will be more fun to watch. I don’t think much separates the two as college players.

- Don’t tell but bought the wife some sweet Jordan 1s for her birthday. Dope. Should go well with her yoga pants which is all she ever wears.

- “Barry” is a lot like “Breaking Bad”, Cage the Elephant and the 2000 Michigan State team. It’s outstanding and I like and respect it, but I don’t love it.

- Am I the only one really excited about Jake Toppin?

- Poor Emoni Bates is a cliche. Think I’ve read a book about his saga.

- Man, I just can’t do it with Malcolm Gladwell’s podcast anymore. He just seems too pleased with himself at this point.

- Look I don’t like Baylor, Baptists or Coach Drew but if there’s one program right now who cut of jib I do like it’s theirs. I like the way they recruit, evaluate talent, develop players, and especially play. I think George will be a stud and think they maybe my preseason #1.

- I just keep coming back to the fact UK is returning a dude who went …

… last year. #blessed

- Look, Abby Steiner is a damn phenomenon but give me Levis’s lady over her. She has that look like she’s from up East, definitely Catholic, a shorty, probably all kinds of attitude, and pure unadulterated smoke.

- Bring on the damn dog days, I guess. If you must. 100 degrees today. F me.

- Like to revisit Ben Folds every now and again- “Still Fighting It.” My gawd.

- Now pardon me while I drink my Peach Wheat brew and watch Cocomelon with my loud daughter.

Many happy hour Margaritas at Fiddletree $5…. Hahahaha

my boy is all oriented… shewwwee, UK is a country club with all the upgrades. I remember when KLair was a stoop, a concrete awning and a plastic sign. Now it’s a LUX friggin’ men’s grille with all Title IX inclusiveness. He has no concept of living on the 19th floor of Kirwan Tower or in an exotic Petri dish of the 6-pack. (Sigh)

I am old, that’s understood - but HAY-gin Hall is now pronounced, HAHg-gin Hall. Sheesh.

Chem focus but on a 2-year track set for pre-Pharma. Good luck, buddy. Dude was psyched with his schedule.

Did Turo. Seamless rental of some nice wheels.

I see that my favorite piece of architecture in Lex is in peril. Somebody buy and protect the Avis pavilion (Prajna)… please. That piece is art. IYKYK.

going to Taqueria Ramirez after boy wakes up from nap and joins me at bar. He’s driving!

Tomorrow, meeting gramma in nursing home then my ol boys in Louisville for lunch (somewhere). Ruby’s in Lex.

[Biscuit Belly was hot garbage for brekky. The biscuits were raw and uncooked.]

weather here is perfect. Don’t know what all the bitching is about.

toasty cheesy

Oh to be on the precipice of four years at UK. Good for your boy, Kook.
Thanks buddy.

His head was on a swivel watching the coeds. He’s in trouble already.

Comparatively, UK blows the effing doors over all the other amenity and housing options from the other universities we toured. Truly beautiful… this coming from the MOST CRITICAL and cranky architect.

Chief hates high taxes, but is in the lowest bracket. He’s worried about abortion, despite being a 50 year old virgin.

Interesting life that guy leads.

Kooky just so you know that you are paying for that. I mean the dorm I stayed at at EKU didn’t even have AC.

For the record, I also oppose infanticide when reasonable preventative measures are widely available, except in the most extreme circumstances.

I mean, we're not communists.

So theoretically in a couple years UCLA and USC could have an away game at Rutgers or Maryland at 9 am their time?

I know KD would like to go to the Suns or Heat, but if the Nets want to get the best deal possible, then the Pelicans could be in play.

They have a stockpile of 1st round picks that they can package with a young all-star in Ingram. They can even include another young player like Herb Jones. That would give the Pels a potentially frightening threesome with Durant, Zion and McCollum.

I like it for the Nets too. It sucks for them that it all didn't work out with their attempted Big 3. Best to accept the situation and make the best deal possible. They can put themselves in a very good situation for the future if this deal is done correctly.

The last thing on earth that needed a high tech upgrade was the soda fountain. Jesus Christ. Who thought these things up?

Every single thing about the new touch screen ones is worse.

Drunk AF, don’t do this often so F it I enjoyed myself tonight more than usual.

Got a BJ on the way home. Me being loose and chill I guess made her happy. Learn from it woman.

Say what you want about Aaron Lewis sucking, his stain’d album helped me through my depression phase of life around 99-02 I guess. Several nights passed out in my car in front of the house with music blaring(keys not in ignition). I could go on and on about those years as I figured me out.

Dude is a legit “guy” and his acoustic part with his boy chuck is bad *** and just like a couple of us(or you and your buddy) just giving **** at every chance! Playing guitar and in general making memories.

He did mention TN whiskey as his preference, lol, which was met with a rain of boo’s. Got the best of me as I walked to the stage and mentioned down home KY BOURBON MF’er!!!!

Had a case of toasted Bourbon, 123 proof, in the truck and was drunk enough to drop it off at his bus. Well his event staff took it at the barricade which was right where we parked.

Hope he got it.

- Kook, probably not going to work tomorrow, holler at me for breakfast or lunch. I’ll meet ya with a lil something something!
