I think I came across a Lexington station doing that once, just playing the same song over and over, and it was because they were changing from one type of music station to another.

In the mid 90s some strain on Louisville played I am the Walrus on repeat for like a month before it lauched.

"Shotgun Stevens" Knoxville DJ w/103.5 WIMZ locked himself in the radio studio & played Rocky Top continually for -- a long damn time -- after Tennessee had a football win ...... can't even remember who they beat .....don't care

their fanbase was ALWAYS like an uncouth, irrational Jim Jones type cult to me -
I knew INSTINCTIVELY as a kid to run in the opposite direction of everything UT

Chernobyl (HBO) didn’t get nearly enough credit. That’s the best show I’ve seen in quite some time.

Speaking of which — anytime there’s a Skarsgard in the credits, you know it’s gonna be a great flick. I couldn’t even tell you which one is which, or what their names are, but that’s a lock.

Big time agreement -

Niched historical event for some maybe but - the events were a big deal and the shows were freaking very well done

It's also the source of maybe the single biggest fight me and Brandi got into --

Wasn’t it “All the small things” by Blink 182 played constantly for about a week?

If you aren't getting a Cheesy Gordita Crunch as part of your Taco Bell order...you have no business commenting on Taco Bell.

Maybe the best item on any fast food menu.
Those rolled chicken tacos they only do seasonably are the truth, too.

- Another day in the life of CPS court. Got to watch an attorney fire a client in front of everyone involved. When that happens and you have a drug past should t we just close the case and deem you too f’ing stupid for children if you’re too f’ing stupid to be represented by an attorney?

- ESPN has a quiz to see what team you should GM for. I got the Spurs, but F that the day after you trade your best player for nothing so you can tank. I quit!

- The Bridges for Charlotte Hornets is arrested for domestic assault. Tough timing kid as a restricted FA you couldn’t have picked a worse time. Idiots.

- I don’t know what Viagara is made of, but muscle relaxers seem to produce the same result.

- Aaron Lewis tonight at Iroquois Amphitheater. Excited but hope it’s more Stain’d than country. Also hope all the idiots don’t show up that scream all concert on his YouTube videos.

Bigger than the monkey fight?

Thats more like ongoing gorilla warfare

HAHAHAHASEEWHAT I DID THERE !! !!?

Yeah - it was a single event on Christmas day 2 years ago - ugh

You know those unfortunate occasions where your beau's temperament/tone DEEPLY clash w/your rising indignation at the same time and suddenly you're BOTH furious....

**** - it's happened maybe 4-5 times in 21 years of marriage....but the clashes are infamous and regrettable

Anywho -- DO NOT assume that the Chernobyl series makes a contribution to a woman's birthday package EVER

They got 3 first round picks for a player who would most likely leave anyway once he became a free agent. He even told the Spurs he would test free agency once the time came. They probably got the feeling he wouldn't re-sign and they aren't going anywhere fast. Why not move him now when his value may be at its peak? I like the move. They weren't winning much with him anyway.

If anyone needs more evidence of the South rising again- the Birmingham Stallions will be playing for the USFL title this weekend, and the city will be hosting the WORLD GAMES. From my research this event looks to be one tier above the Olympics. If you want to see the best on the planet play Korfball, tug-of-war, and ultimate frisbee- you'll have to visit the Magic City (Home of Michael Jordan for a few months).

Also add in another James Beard Award for Birmingham when my boy Adam Evans was recognized earlier this month.

Outside of the murder rate and the oppressive heat- things are prospering well here.

I’ll take Aaron Lewis tonight with beers and a decent bite to eat over this crap.

I get it on paper, three 1st round picks. Next years is Charlotte’s which is a playoff team so 16-24 most likely, and the other 2 are from ATL in 25 and 27. Just assume those will be later firsts too.

The biggest benefit they get is tanking this year to possibly upgrade their pick next year.

They are a perfect example of always being mediocre leads to more mediocrity from the middle to late first round picks.

Unless the lawyer is an absolute hack (which does happen), that was a long time in the making and very well earned. I mean appointed lawyers have to represent people like Bud Mackey showing up to court with a mohawk while being accused of slinging crack without batting an eye.

Lawyers who are appointed in CPS cases are private attorneys who, by and large, are really good lawyers and tend to not take much crap from clients while doing their jobs, so it can sometimes lead to funny situations. I once, despite all odds, was in the process of getting a guy's kids back and the idiot would not shut up. I whispered "shut up" about a billion times at increasingly loud volumes and he did not follow legal advice so I finally directly told him to shut the f*** up in court loud enough for anyone who cared to hear. No one batted an eye except him. He was butthurt about it and later threatened to file a bar complaint. I never heard anything about it afterwards and I have no idea if he did. If he did, the bar association never even let me know.

Whatever. I did my job and it was the best possible legal advice (which is the case in about 99% of situations any way.)

Yea, so in this case the mother of my wife’s nieces and nephew, showed up late, a wreck, and had different counsel she hired in May and we aren’t sure what happened to the other counsel for the last 14 months.

However, today was a motion filed by the mom so as he explained due to incomplete info in the file and other things he did not want to proceed TODAY with the motion.

As she enters the judge asks if she agrees and she says “I want my kids back I miss them”. So the judge explains what her counsel has stated and gives her a chance to shut up and let him save her ***. But she disagrees and want to move forward today.

At which point he literally said I’m not prepared so you have to call witnesses and get testimony.

I mean, credit given as she tried her best, but she had no clue! County attorney objected to just about everything she tried and her guy gave a few chuckles, scratched his head a few times and in general watched the show.

It legit felt like the scene in big daddy when Sandler’s dad is called upon to question.

Before the decision against return of custody was given, her counsel went on record based on some statute he wasn’t responsible for questioning etc etc etc of anything that happened today and muttered Id like off this train wreck just loud enough we all heard.

Judge spewed an I don’t blame you, denied the request and it was over.

Chief hates high taxes, but is in the lowest bracket. He’s worried about abortion, despite being a 50 year old virgin.

Interesting life that guy leads.
1. What moron doesn't hate high taxes? You have no idea of my bracket.
2. You clearly want to talk about abortion so...there should a cutoff date. Let's say 15-20 weeks. Less restrictive than most of Europe. Crazy!!!
3. False.
