Just got the call from the sheriff, our car was found with the other 4 that were stolen the same night. All 4 were in an abandoned parking lot, with no damage.

So safe to assume they were about to be picked up and shipped out I’m sure.

Now all I have to do is fly the wife down so she can drive back. That’s after getting the rental To get home.

Could be a lot worse I guess.

Guarantee I’ll be telling my wife she can take all that road rage out on me as soon as she gets home too!

And PTI can't figure out how to tell the wife an Uber is picking her up...

Monday Randoms:

- The move to Kalamazoo is coming in August, with that said I’m going to have a hard time saying goodbye to NKY. Newport/Covington have for me been some of the coolest places I’ve lived.

- Speaking of NKY, got engaged last night…had it all planned out. Three years ago the masterful band of “The Naked Karate Girls” invited us on stage since we were drunk dancing maniacs and asked about marriage - we both shook our heads no…

Cue to 3 years after that, I had talked to the band and it was a go. It’s a memory that we both love. However, our son decided to have a toddler tantrum and we had to leave…

I was visibly upset, explained the situation and when we got back she asked if I wanted to ask again.

- Really looking forward to the summer football practice reports. I have nothing else to root for at the moment. I’ve never been really into recruiting for football or basketball. All I want to hear is after they get signed, make a bunch off of NIL, and how everyone is bigger, stronger, faster.

- Do handicapped people know their situation has made it harder for a regularly abled bodied person to open doors?

Listen, I’m not going to push a button to open a door when I can do it myself. #Equality

-your insurance company should pay to have it hauled to the mechanics garage of your choice...no need to fly down and drive yourself/assume responsibility for possible damage.

^our volvo was stolen out of driveway in 01...this is what we did thankfully as we had to replace a damaged wheel.

Just my 2 cents.

Well I’m waiting to hear from the guy about the claim. This vehicle was wrecked in January and we just got it back a month ago so I’ll do a lot to keep our new rates as low as possible.

If flying her *** down there gets me a break from her, her a break from the kids, and some very aggressive sex then I don’t mind the $200 cost. It’s Father’s Day weekend too? Consider it my present.

The poor folks in room 305 probably never want to see me again, and unfortanetly for her that means no more eye lash appts in St Augustine.

That said, the wifey had a type way back in our younger years, and that chick isn’t it.

Why was Ben Foster in it? Curious casting decision, imo. I get Duvall with the old school mentor type role, but Foster was terrible and annoying -- and he's a great actor.

Being picky, because I did enjoy it, but it didn't make any sense why Foster's character was trying to submarine a prospect so blatantly -- that **** would never happen in the public sports take arena. Seemed kinda tampering-ish.

Sandler was good, however. Just wish the writing and plot went into a little more of the WHY for both BO and Stanley, and less on the gratuitous cameos. But of course with Lebron & Maverick producing it, you knew it would be over the top in that regard.
I thought it was absolutely horrible. The acting, the live-play shots were cartoonishly bad, the storyline (lack of), Queen Latifah's feet... There was very little that was interesting or good about it- hopefully it disappears from the home screen quickly. The Air up There would mock that in boliva

US Open week:

The CC in Brookline is in a really cool, very unassuming place. Basically tucked into a neighborhood on the outskirts of Boston. Got denied trying to just go up into the pro shop a few years back bc I wasnt with a member and had no business whatsoever being there. Just wanted to grab a polo and a tervis. There is some more magic on that course, imo. Been 23 years since Leaonard's bomb, and after this last weekend ending with a nice little duel- I think we see some fireworks this weekend.

There is little that I am more excited about than watching UL and UT lose in sports. UT fans sitting there just seemingly yelling at clouds while their team imploded was heartwarming. Hopefully it happens again soon. Also the only team in the tournament that had people ejected (actually had 2) and had a game halted because the fans threw **** on the field (again).

Looking at at least a week straight of 100 degrees here. ANd i haven't looked beyond that- but im sure this will be how it is until October.

Record temps FINALLY! I mean, about damn time. Absolutely Worship the 110 heat index forecasted for Golf Wednesday, it gets no better than that!

This low/mid 80s weather of late has been for the birds & fats, and I'm absolutely sick of it. Need some of that famous Kentucky humidity baby! God is Great!

"Gas, grass, or ***" line not work, Pti?

Probably not the best person to give marital advice, but I think this is a winner.

Just hoping for our pool to get around 86-87 degree so I can push back on everyone in the house that want a heater. If 2-1/2 months out of the 3-4 useful months we have a pool that warm anyway I ain’t buying no damn heater.

I didn’t have one growing up, and these little piss ants don’t “need” one either!

But but but, the pool in Florida was sooo warm! Yea? No ****? Where it was 100 degree from 11a-830p?

Go clean your room, or the garage, or something and if ya keep messing with me it’s polish sausage and sauerkraut for dinner.

TRY ME!

Really enjoying the universal glee the baseball-watching world is having with Tennessee's loss to Notre Dame. Trash manager, trash players, trash-throwing trash fan base. Eff em.

Love that we signed an OL nicknamed "House." Almost as awesome as "Tiny."

Jefferson Starship (no Airplane) Saturday night for a friend's birthday. As much as I loath "We Built This City" it was a good show. 83 y.o. David Freiberg up there still carrying a pretty damn good voice.

NBA Game 5 tonight, Stanley Cup Finals start Wednesday, NBA Game 6 Thursday, CWS and US Open this weekend, possible Game 7 Sunday night. Not shabby at all.

Under the Banner of Heaven on Hulu is indeed outstanding. Damn.

Didn’t have a pool heater when I lived on Mt Vernon Dr in Lex but actually have one now living in FL. In less than one year, that thing has paid for itself.

To be able to put the kids outside in the pool when the temp is in the 60’s from Dec-Feb was a lifesaver. Set it on 88 and they will swim for hours.

Only a desk jockey would claim to love 98 degree weather. If you have to work outside, this **** is brutal and potentially deadly.
Yup. I'm putting down a damn edict that if I see anyone open an overhead door that isn't in use, I going to kill them. Dead.

Turds letting a 90 degree breeze into a 80 degree building. Shitbirds.

Outdoor heated pool? In Kentucky? Why?

That would be a fortune to heat the months it's actually needed.

It really depends on where the pool is located. Ours gets sun from pretty much 9:00am and with a solar cover it’s already almost 90. If I did have a heater we could probably have it warm late April and thru September. So you could maybe extend a month total.

I'm certainly tied to the desk this week. If I wasn't I'd be out in though. Either riding or at the pool. Gimme this over 28 and sleet snow mix during the dark days.

Weekend looks awesome 84/81.

- High 90's this week, high 90's next week. Gets hot every summer, but I can't quite remember a June stretch like this. SORRY I EVER DOUBTED YOU, AL GORE.

- Took oldest to see IU yesterday. Yes, I know, F IU, etc., I get it. But she wanted to see their campus (which was nice) and learn more about their public policy program. Temps/humidity made the whole thing pretty unbearable, but it's a nice place (though still behind UK on her list). A friend on the IU basketball staff gave us a cool tour of Assembly Hall. Even though I hate those guys, as a college basketball, I enjoyed seeing all the behind-the-scenes stuff, and watching the staff prepare for meetings with a recruit (Asa Newell, top-40 in the '24 class) we saw walking around. A little jealous of how they've renovated the outer shell of the arena into an on-campus shrine to all things IU basketball. They have multiple lobbies that serve as de facto museums. Very cool, and sorely lacking at UK now that the museum has closed.

- The parenting books don't mention how great it is when your kid starts driving and is happy to run all the small errands that were previously a nuisance for you. Wears off eventually, but for now "Oh, you need me to get something from Kroger? GLADLY" is pretty nice.

- "Hamilton" tonight. I'm a 47-year-old white dad who wears button-up short-sleeved shirts. I'm not gonna be able to understand a single word, am I?

-Regardless, carrying 3lbs of weed around when you've made 25million dollars in your career, and averaging another 10milion per year, is just dumb. Dumb laws still lead to you f*cking up your life.

-It's flat toasty out there. Next week looks even hotter.

-Fat wop moved the schedule of Father/Son Camp for "recruiting". K, pal. Whatever you need to close out this top 20 class. Better be a f*cking shooter.

-Hamilton is impossible to understand live. You could kinda understand what was going on but it was tough. I suggest Disney+. Book of Mormon is the GOAT.

-What happened to Wayne?

-Bear Market, record inflation every single month, record drug overdoes, $5-6 gas prices, whole generation of kids missing 1.5 years of education, real estate way over inflated and about to pop. Great stuff.

Building a house right now is swell. Great timing for us. 3 weeks ago my builder informed me it’ll be 51k over what he quoted me to start framing, essentially wiping out the krazykats lumber discount Ive been using as a powerplay over my wife. It’s now 20k over as lumber is falling sharply, but steel and concrete is going up so I can’t really delay much longer. It’s like the see-saw from hell.

2 more weeks should save you another 5 figures at least though man. Steel and concrete didn’t need to be delayed, hopefully your guy didn’t hold that up.

Concrete companies in central Kentucky are going on allocation. Not only is your price going up, but timeline to completion is going to become longer as well since material availability is getting pretty sketchy.
