Had a Fuku chicken sandwich and jalapeño waffle fries this weekend (from their ghost kitchen in the Harrodsburg Road Frisch’s). Good sandwich, but I pretty much have to block off the next morning for recovery whenever I eat one. No ketchup was involved.

*I rarely put ketchup on a hot dog. More of a mustard or cheese type of dude. WW is correct, nacho cheese on a boiled dog cannot be beat.

*I'm getting pretty dark. So much so I'm going to start carrying around my passport as backup documentation in case I get stopped. Then again, maybe they'll give me one of those fancy "show up for court" phones.

*Golf at Glenn Oaks tomorrow. This will be my 2nd round of the year and I'm playing with regulars. I think I'll skip the pool.

Weekend quick hitters:
Friday: Pool, music, brews, pizza place, and a fire pit.
Saturday: Pool, brews, music, carry-out, patio, more brews and music.
Sunday: Pool, fewer brews, music, patio, grill (showed off my reverse sear game), with a little vino to cap the night.

*Cool story, one of the people there last night has a family member swimming on the national team in Vancouver. She won her race....THE CROWD GOES WILD!

So the non-conference home slate is currently

Duquesne
Bellermine
Maine
Marist
Louisville

Including the neutral Michigan, Michigan St. and UCLA games that leaves 4 possible non-conference games.

One should be the B12 Challenge team, Texas, Baylor or Kansas?

But that still is another ****** *** home schedule. A P5 opponent or a decent Big East team would help. How about a home and home with the Zags?

Mustard and relish on a hotdog.

Llama, always got a jar of Knoth’s bbq sauce before they shut down every year as a youngun’ just to have for burgers in the winter. Unless you’ve had it don’t @ me.

Unless we get some shooters to add to the roster we’re no better off than last year. Covid gives me a better excuse for not going to those fantastic OOC games.

Found out I’ve been eligible for a lifetime fishing license for $23. Just paid $25.50 in April and asked to be switched…Nope. That’s fine, I’ll just get it back by not paying dock fees this year. More than one way to get back at tha man.

More evidence that things will not change, guys. He’s a creature of habit and he’s awfully comfortable with the way things are.

Meh. I've pretty much retired driving to Lexington on a school night, which eliminates a bunch of games. Saturday tickets are reasonably difficult to come by (lowers, anyway). COVID.

Been to nearly every UK game at YUM: UofL and NCAA tournaments. Also went to MSG last November for the Duke game. Trust I am still a Wildcat.

Watched a few war series lately, Band of Brothers etc etc.
Podcasts about each episode are pretty cool. Most of the actors got to meet the guy they were playing, if the guy was still alive. The guys were brought to the set in Europe and drank the actors under the table. HBO gave them an open tab. Treated like the heroes they were. For the most part, they enjoyed their time in the spotlight.

I have no qualms saying I couldn't do that ****. Absolutely, unequivocally don't have the fortitude to do any of that ****. Especially not at 18,19 years old.
I think we would be in trouble if we ever had to have a draft again.

We fight exclusively with robots now. Didn't you watch Top Gun: Maverick, you idiot?

I, for one, am thankful for that technology.

Sadly, the Greatest Generation is just about all gone now.

I've got a picture of my Grandpa in his Navy uniform along with his Dixie cup prominently displayed on my bar and it's dedicated to him.

I seriously doubt my grandkids would ever have my fraternity composite and navy blazer on display as a tribute someday, but who knows, maybe I'll come out a winner.
