-Cash Money vs No Limit has been preoccupying my time lately. I think I finally figure out the problem. No Limit at the time was the best, don't think that's debatable, but Cash Money has held up better and has a better overall catalog.

Say what? As CMR changed to young money I can get your point, but if we are talking about back in the day it is No Limit by a mile!

As a matter of fact, ALL of old school CMR basically hate baby and slim and that really all you need to know.

But song for song:

1- Bout it(started it all for No Limit)
2-Playas from the South
3- Pull a kickdoe
4- Break em off Something
5- How ya do Dat
6- Bourbons n Lacs
7- Man right Chea
8- No Limit Soldiers
9- Ice Cream Man(whole album, but…..)
10- Pass me da Green

Only thing touching any of that is first Hot Boyz, BG Chopper City, and a few random songs off Big Tymers.

You can't leave out 400 Degrees. That album is an absolutely classic w/ endless Jams. And the early Big Tymers albums >>> any of their later ones that had the huge pop smashes.

But yeah, No Limit > CMR (pre YM), but mainly due to volume - plus, they started it all. P is an absolute GOAT. No Limit is mostly all terrible rappers, but it just didn't matter...pure genius.

No need to slander either in this argument.

It depends on your age. Cash Money for me.

No Limit had some straight up corny/embarrassing stuff, and way too many acts. They sort of became a parody.

I think the strength of Juve/Wayne/BG alone pushes CM over what is essentially just Master P. You got some undeniable classic albumsl from those 3 big CM acts.

Backs like Snell/Rodriguez are more a product of our system than anything. Tough, between the tackle backs that don't have elite speed & hands are a dime a dozen in the SEC. Its the one position we can actually afford attrition at. Javon Baker tho....

"Product of the system" backs don't run for 1400 yds.....besides, that label doesn't apply to a running game. Year before last, 468 of his 785 yds were after the first hit......if these type of backs are a dime a dozen then every school would be crazy to not want someone like him.

I'm not convinced it's happening, frankly because I don't want to believe it.

Backs like Benny Snell and C-Rod carried our team towards what it is today with sheer will and power. It's Mark Stoops football baby, and we don't have a guy with those sort of balls. LaVell Wright looks to be maybe the guy, but man....cmon, none of this stuff needs to be said. You get CRod on that damn football field. Whatever it takes. And you make him hold on to the football.

* we do have a QB with those sort of balls, tho. It's gonna take all he's got. I believe.

yo mama

I mean, I know you guys are older than me, so that's what it is....If NL hit during my HS years, I'd probably be on that. But I'm not. For better or worse.

Cash Money superior talent top to bottom. Beats, bars, whatever. It's not close. They just came along and updated/improved what NL laid out.

oh good god....dial up a Mystikal song right now. I dare you.

7th grade for a book report, we had to write song lyrics about the book we read.

Didn't read the book.

Tried to get away with saying, "MY BOOK RIGHT CHEA, MY BOOK RIGHT CHEA"

Hoping the teacher didn't notice I was giving zero context and speaking gibberish.

She noticed.

And called my mom to tell her she was confused and thought there was a medical problem at first. And that I also failed that project.

True story.

I love CMR too, don’t mean to act as if I don’t, but I can really narrow their stuff into a few cuts off a few albums/B.G. personally.

I do forget about that juvy album. Them white reeboks in HA video was so “real” back then.

Used to get them once a month for $39 a pair to stay clean. Now my kids need the new $250 pair of garabage! Ugh.

Cribs was just amazing. These dudes basically had a builder-grade house, and put a jacuzzi in the living room. They didnt even have plates or forks. And a Dollar-sign welcome mat from Hobby Lobby.

And I love Cash Money.

300 Degreez is one of my favorite albums of all time.

#1 Stunna is on my pregame playlist.

But your main argument is that No Limit had some corny ****.

Have you heard "Cash Money is an Army, better yet a Navy"?

They got as corny as it gets.

Doesn't matter, produced bangers.

No Limit just had better ones.

You guys can work it out all you want. Like I said, I put about 3 weeks into this, spoke to several reliable sources, and that was the outcome. It's the correct answer.

I cut it off at Stuntin' Like My Daddy. I know Manny was gone by then but I still associate that song with CM.

- So has karate made a comeback for kids? Have heard a few young’uns into it. Was never anything that interested me beyond dressing up like a ninja and spinning them nunchucks.

- Have always regarded “Runaway Jury” as the finest Grisham film, slightly over “A Time to Kill”, “The Client” and “The Firm.”

- Wife’s in sales in the convenience store industry so each time she comes home from a conference I am greeted with a **** ton of snacks- many of which are experimental and haven’t or will never be released to the public. So y’all can bow down.

- These F’ing Millennials trying to get us to refer to dogs as “doggos” for some reason. What a **** generation.

- Best small venue and/or up-and-comer concert you’ve ever attended?

That Kane & Abel "Am I My Brothers Keeper was dope too. Same with Mia X "Unlady Like".

But you're leaving off 4 Wayne Albums to start with.

I could be on board with that because anything Gene Hackman is in is a GD winner.

I loved The Client though. Still do.
