Sorry if mentioning your area bothers you, but I’m well aware of Gabe Parker and the bullying, family death etc etc that was used to try and get out of two life sentences.

Like I said the students had concerns. But I certainly didn’t mean to offend you.
I prosecuted that case from that morning to the day of sentencing. Read every report, read every witness statement, looked at every photo, video, and was involved in every stage of discussions with his defense counsel. Once again, you do not know what you're talking about.

I know that I don't want to hear any thoughts from any of you momos (or any Calipari) on gun-control or abortion, tbh.

Just a bunch of self-aggrandizing moral preening.

Ok, heroes, we get it. Mass shootings are tragedies and you are absolutely heart-broken about it and feel the need to show everyone else how big a moral superlative you are by beating everyone else over the head with your "solution" that no one will ever try or even listen to.

Thanks, heroes.

I can't believe this website is free.

Unreal.

- I've seen estimates of $7-10 Billion per year to put police in every school in the country. That seems like a wise use of taxpayer money compared to some of the other useless ******** we spend it on.

- We can get rid of illegal guns slowly but surely. Just have to have everyone on the same page but that isn't happening. NYC in the 90's showed us that Stop and Frisk would work but...there will be many that fight against that even though we know most illegal guns are in high crime areas.

- Raise the age to 25 to buy anything more than a hunting rifle or 6 shot pistol which you can get at 21.

Get some highly trained tactical killers in these schools. Drop a few of these shooters in their tracks, and then watch them decide that maybe schools aren't the plum target they used to be.

Who gives AF what it costs? This country flushes BILLIONS of dollars a day down the crapper. Take some of that and make a difference.

Hell, just make it a seperate branch of the military.

It really isn’t about that. The point was about this post.
The ones that are most sad are the ones where they knew the shooter was a risk (ex: yea we got a tip 6 mo ago and didn’t do anything about it). Not an expert but those seem preventable.
And I brought up Marshall County, where there were signs and the boy(I guess only legalbeagle could confirm) was verbally abused after a family death and the kid was hurt in a way he couldn’t handle.

Parents didn’t help, students mocked him and Teachers somewhat ignored it. Then what happened, happened.

It was preventable with a little help for a kid.

Hell we had my kids evaluated after my mom and my stepdad passed in case they wanted to discuss things to someone besides their parents because we have taught them not to cry and “be tough”.

I never pretended to know more than legal, but he made it a point that I wasn’t even making.

In a preventable situation it’s still impossible to KNOW these people and what they are willing to do in their minds.

Another “expert” who thinks he knows more than everyone. Nice try, Deep State.

legalbeagle regularly talks about running marathons including running one in Antarctica and there wasn't a red flag to krazy when his "research" turned this guy up.

I have mixed emotions on this issue bc I think most legislation that liberals would like to see actually won’t have a huge effect for a variety of reasons that aren’t worth going into in detail here. I do think reducing magazine capacity is a no-brainer but nothing in this debate seems to be. What I hate is that potential solutions have become either/or. Yes guns are a part of it…yes mental health is a part of it…and yes more security at school can be part of it (although the school yesterday had two armed guards there apparently). A true solution can deal with all of it

The point above however is stupid. So long as the filibuster is in place, the “Dems control everything argument” is dumb. They don’t. Now some may be for getting rid of the filibuster but if it exists, the Dems can’t fix it alone. They actually could have under Obama but a couple Senators chickened out and they can be criticized. But now they can’t fix it without at least some Republican help
I would like to point out that from 2009-11 the Dems had a filibuster proof majority where they could have passed anything they wanted. They didn't because...solving issues like guns and abortion would give them very little to campaign on and would definitely cut into their donations. Not much gets done because of the job security it provides and yes, by both sides.

Literally no one wants to hear your unemployed thoughts on any topic.

I only do it to get this type of reaction out of you. My day is made. Thanks.

And for the record Hank...I've lost more money(on paper) in the last two weeks than you will make in the next 3-5 years.

I didn’t do research, and yes I’m aware of all his post which is why I said I didn’t picture him as that guy who was the prosecuting attorney.

Per the linked article for those that didn’t read:

The lawsuit states that Gabe Parker's bedroom had materials devoted to deadly weapons and violence as well as WWII and the Nazi Regime.

Parker made reference to "the kids [he] may hurt" as long as six months before the shooting and spoke openly about joining the Mafia, according to the lawsuit. Parker's phone reportedly also contained images pertaining to school shootings, the lawsuit says.

Clearly no signs at all of anything preventable though, per running in Antarctica legalbeagle.

Do you realize those lawsuits were dismissed on summary judgment? Do you even know what that means?

Sit this one out.

Telling a bunch of Dads who dropped their kids off at school less than 24 hours removed from this massacre that their outrage is nothing more than "self-aggrandizing moral preening" is some position to take.

F you too, Hank.

I mean there was more people in this thread mad over kids not being able to go to school or having to wear masks during the pandemic than this...but please keep it to yourself.

-a year + without in-person school will prove to be *devastating* to millions of children...some communities will be hit harder than others and we won't know the actual impact/costs for years.

^not something to be made light of.

***not comparing the above to yesterday's events**, for you myopic waterheads incapable of nuanced thought***

**one that would do that would be a complete piece of ****.

The real **** of that comment and thought process is you can gurandamntee covid mitigation f'd some kids up that may end up shooting their school up down the road.

But really it's just weak projection and indicative of emotional insecurity.

Chloroform in the sprinkler system set to go off when it detects a gun shot. How much could gassing everyone in the school cost?

We’ll figure out how to handle gas masks later.

When an individual has reached the point of mental depravity where he doesn't care about dying for whatever warped cause he has subscribed to, and also wants to leave mass carnage behind on his way out, it's hard to stop said person every single time. Guns, cars, bomb-making materials, planes, or other forms of weaponry are going to be available in a free society. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I hope we can find it soon. Sick of this ****.

This sums up the dumpster fire of the Mingione era pretty well (guy is the starting pitcher carrying a shutout into the 8th).

That doesnt even mention that piss poor coaching decisions got two guys thrown out on the basepaths in the top half of the 8th. In a 1 run game.

It doesn’t have to be multiple armed Delta Force types. A single retired policeman/military with a desk and monitors near the front entrance. Seems like an easy ask.

Hate to be a killjoy, but putting GD Delta Force in every school probably isn’t going to happen.

I don't know what 'Delta Force" entails. I said I had the solution. Whether or not people take my advice is not up to me. You wanted a way to stop it. I gave it to you. Don't want to do it, don't come around the next time it happens, asking what we're going to do about it.

Kentucky losing this game b/c of questionable coaching would help make Mitch's case, I'm guessing (hoping). The rest of the SEC is the Axis Powers and Kentucky is Luxembourg.
