Love all the Levis hype and think he can handle it. I just hope that if he improves this season and becomes a 3rd or 4th round draft pick, it doesn't result in any bad press due to a perceived drop. If we're being honest, he hasn't earned round 1 status with on the field play, yet. Not even close. His gameday results have landed him closer to his #7 in the SEC QB ranking. His ceiling is as high as anyone's, though, so #1 is certainly on the table. It’s going to require some surprisingly good play from the tackles and receivers, regardless of how much Levis improves.

Love Woodford County and would move there if the timing was right.

So Wayne move to NC, and came back to live in NC? It’s all really starting to make sense.

IIRC he is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan?

I also lived in NE Tennessee (Vol country) and Kansas (KU Country). My dad.- a huge UK fan - apparently wanted to put me through sports hell as a kid to ensure my UK fandom was legit.

The Kentucky fan from North Carolina and the North Carolina fan from Kentucky?

I've said it for a while now, they're essentially mirror images.

No… Panthers. I was living in Charlotte when they started up.
Is that when this footage was taken?

* It sucks that the prison guard from Alabama (allegedly) shot herself. Her side of the story would possibly make the greatest Dateline NBC of all time. It would have to be narrated by Keith Morrison.

Alas.

To be fair, if I went on the lam with a 6'9 career felon and ended up in God awful Evansville, Indiana, I'd probably shoot myself, too.

*. Per Wiki, Keith Morrison is the stepfather of Matthew Perry from Friends. The more you know.

* The only thing I trust less than an internet opinion by Waterhead Wayne or UKO is the results of a Jamaican autopsy. Three white Americans in their 60s randomly keel over on the same night in the same Jamaican resort and authorities suspect no foul play? Whatever you say, mon.

Mock drafts are one of my least favorite aspects of sports culture (along with coach worship).

Alex Poythress was never the #1 pick… no matter what some “expert” said.

Andre Woodson was never a 1st round pick. The fact he was drafted in the 6th round doesn’t mean he fell… it just means he was drafted in the 6th round.

For the sake of conversation, say you were going to be in New Orleans with a dozen friends, the temperature was going to be 90-plus, you’re likely going to be drinking all day because this particular group of people have little collective discipline in such situations, and you’re headed to a pre-wedding cocktail party-

How much sense does it make to follow this cocktail party up with a 9pm reservation at some fancy Italian restaurant?

This is purely hypothetical and in no way a veiled shot at a particular person or persons.

Funny you should ask. After your pre-wedding cocktail party, we were still hungry, and trying to get 12 people in a restaurant with no reservations at 8pm on a Friday night is nearly impossible. Hence, why we booked a 100% cancelable reservation incase we need food after the party. You're welcome to grab Krystal though.

that was a real low point for me so mark me down as “in favor” of dinner reservations

Mock drafts and NCAA "Bracketologies" are the biggest combination of extreme interest + zero accountability for being awful at how you do them in all of sports.

The moment that either the bracket is announced or the draft actually takes place, the public generally loses all interest in whether the prognosticators actually did a good job.

They have to be the easiest jobs in all of sports media.

A cocktail party with limited food options going through dinner time with no meal planned can lead to disaster, as we learned the hard way. I expect more out of my vertically challenged friend than the long distance runner too, so a little planning ahead is appreciated.

Not to mention, being able to change your guesses right up until the announcement is made always helps with your success rate.
