The Morphew dude killed his wife - no question 100%. And the daughters are little psychos. DA botched that one.

It was dismissed without prejudice, and they believe they are on the trail of finding her body. If they find it where they are looking (his phone location from the time of her death led them there), no doubt the charges will be reinstated. Which makes me question why his attorney would let him go on TV to discuss the case at all.

The flight attendant is pretty entertaining. We have about 5 episodes left of ozark and I’m still enjoying it. Maybe it goes to **** at the end? Breaking Bad was good from start to finish. Succession is great. Narcos is my #1, and has the best source material to continue to be great.

I've noticed random stand-up comics make appearances on Saul and BB. There was Bill Burr and Lavelle Crawford (whom I didn't even know was a comic until he randomly popped up on a comedy station I was listening to a couple of months ago). Both of those guys sorta had minor roles, but "important" to the plot. I saw Roy Wood Jr. on an episode or two of Saul. I think McKean (Saul's bro) has done stand up before as well.

I didn't care for Ozark' s ending. Jason Bateman is great in everything and Wendy Byrd is an all-time villain. I just didn't think the Michael Corleone moment at the end rang true. Breaking Bad is perfect. HBO is just another world, haven't watched Succession but the Wire, Sopranos, Deadwood, Rome, etc. just doesn't compare to anything else.

Frankly, the Byrds buying Caesar’s Palace would have been more believable than saying that hilljack restaurant could be involved with laundering anything more than say $1M per year.

Lexitalia, that hole in the wall restaurant/heroin shop on Alexandria had many, many, millions run thru it years back.

it was very good
Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad and IDGAF if you disagree -- you're wrong.

it was VERY good -

one of the few examples of a spin off equally good or better than the original

Back in the 90s i liked Frazier - but never liked Cheers....another spin off that was an improvement

loved Justified and am anxious to see what that follows up will look like

Generally spin offs are like the SONS of great athletes....they just don’t measure up

((pat ewing jr, kellen winslow jr, shaqs kid, etc))

although....both Manning QBs were as good or better than Archie i guess

PS: trivia ....Carl Weathers - the actor who played Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies ....was a linebacker for the Raiders for a hot minute

As did Shoppers Choice grocery store.

My dad managed 2 of them in town, and reported back to the big bosses up in Northern KY. He never knew the specifics, only that once a week a couple of suits would come down for the "deposit". I worked at the Broadway location thru HS and college.

Well my wife has fallen in love with a house that just went on the market and we've got a showing tomorrow afternoon. They started showing it this afternoon so I'm hoping it sells today. Apparently the market is so hot, you can't even do a contingency contract any more so if we make an offer, I'll have to immediately get my house cleaned up to put on the market before the impending housing collapse and inevitable recession.

FML. Cheaper than divorce, I guess.

Anyone else bought and sold a house in the last six months? I'm trying to see what to expect.

Sold moms house in northeast. One weekend of showings and offers due Monday. 5 offers, which 3 fell through. Next weekend, same deal. 4 offers and accepted offer from 1st weekend people who bid again. Mom expected 500k+, went for 650.
Now, go to buy new one for her, same deal,we offered all cash, 25k over ask and it went for 100k more.
Next weekend offered 25k over ask and we were 4th in line, all cash offers.
Still looking.

Yep. **** is insane. We offered list contingent on our sell, they accepted and we listed 5 days later. House went in 2 days with a bid war involved getting us 12K more than list.

Everything was done so fast it was overwhelming and we spent a ton on the few things we were obligated on our old house per the accepted offer, and the new house that we just wanted done.

Good luck! My wife was the driver of our situation too, and I’m pretty sure she still isn’t happy even though she promised this is all she’s ever want in life and would be so happy and so in love…………

Damn I’m a sucker.

Sounds like the housing market is looking a lot like the bourbon market. Tons of buyers that only want to buy because everyone else wants to, too.

What sort of masochist goon would purposely, and for no specific reason, decide to jump into the house buying market right now?

Well, typically speaking the offset of what you buy you also get from what you sell. So it’s not the worst thing to do if you keep enough equity and don’t over leverage then end up upside down.

But you know this.

Also, the bourbon market, unless you are speaking secondary, is not just a FOMO driven industry. But it’s a ton of fun almost daily.

Looking forward to the market correction so that you’re underwater on your mortgage, Hank!

what’s funny is people were saying that last year and if you bought a house last year it’s worth like 15% more today. If someone has the vision of where this will end let us know. All indicators are that prices and interest rates are increasing till at least late 2023 if not 2024 so if you need to move and find the right house now is as good a time as any. I didn’t at first but I’m actually happy we’re building even though my wife lost her mind designing it as I didn’t have to deal with a bidding war for a house I still would need to make changes to, but at the end of the day it’s hard to say buying a house today wouldn’t be a good investment due to the ridiculously low inventory.

Our house value tanked by $150k in 4 months in 2005. Did a construction equity loan about 8 years ago and we renovated the entire disaster on the cheap…

Reaping the rewards as now I’d say we’ve doubled our ROI with all the improvements. About the only good thing about being an architect is that you can be ahead of the curve in terms of trends in your own renovations. My **** still looks fresh and futureproof.

just made more gnocchi for tomorrows fiesta.

If you aren’t in a house by June of next year, I’d wait.

Last July I bought my overpriced house 100K less than what my neighbors just sold theirs for.
Yeah. The plan was to keep aggressively paying off the mortgage we've got, do some reasonable improvements on the existing, and see where the housing and renovation market is in two or three years -- even agreed to this quite reasonable, wealth-building plan with my spouse.

But this house is so adorable, we would be fools not to pay $25k over asking just to make sure we get something we weren't even looking for yesterday!
