I still wonder if Sharpe were actually ruled ineligible for the draft and ended up returning to UK, if the **** show surrounding him wouldn't rival the drama we see from Ben Simmons.

I mean, would you really trust that he wouldn't get shut down at the first "tweak of an ankle"?
It’s a fair point. I still don’t think the NBA wants guys to pull the stunt he just pulled so I can see them telling him to pound sand.

The NBA does whatever it wants to CBB because the NCAA is a cuck. Has been this way for years and changed CBB for the worst.

It's interesting that so far in his business dealings Musk has:

* Started a company that is at the forefront of the green energy movement.
* Found ways to provide Internet access to remote areas across the globe and threw a ton of satellites to Ukraine (🇺🇦) at the shock and awe of the Pentagon.
* Pushed the boundaries of space travel by making it highly possible that we see 'Total Recall' play out for real in our lifetimes ...

...is being called alt-right and chastised by many of the same folks all those things appeal to, simply because he bought a company with his own money and said he's opening up the algorithm for more freedom of discussion. Bizarre, really.

It’s also pretty ironic that Twitter has suddenly become the great venerable meeting place for open honest thoughtful civil debate and discourse in a very sensible virtuous process that celebrates democracy and the cherished 1st amendment.

Pretty sure none of these people have ever actually seen Twitter.
I haven't seen twitter because they suspended me for violence because I had Petrino in a neck brace as my avatar.

Forced to replace that pic to get out of Jack's jail, I got the permaban for replacing it with Taylor Wyndham earholing Tim Tebow.

You don't think the return of Orange Man with the mean tweets will be noticeable?

He says he’s not going back to Twitter. After all, he started his own copycat rival social media platform. He doesn’t actual post on it, it’s a predictable complete miserable failure, and it has almost no users, but he does have his own.

I have zero problem with Elon buying Twitter. He may even make some improvements. He will let a few of the people like Trump back on and get some applause from the right and then the world will move on. I don’t know that it was a great financial decision (esp considering the Twitter business model and the insane amount of debt he took on, much of it tied to his personal holdings) but it is his money and if he wants the risk, good for him.

But Here’s the problem for Elon or anyone who wants to run a social media site. If you let it truly be a free for all, it becomes a cesspool and people don’t want to go to it. If everything is allowed then it’s a race to the bottom and the shittiest content (and worst people) take over

If you moderate it, people will inevitably not agree with your decisions and it is hard to be consistent bc every situation is different.

So there is no real way to operate a “free speech forum” and make it appealable to the masses. Because the worst of people takes over. And once you police it, inevitably your own biases will take over

We tried for years to moderate the KSR comment section. It was nearly impossible and only led to problems. So we stopped. And now it’s unreadable. Multiply that by 100 million and you have

Here’s the thing about Elon buying Twitter. It’s like one of us buying a vacation home. He’s that effing rich. This is a luxury asset purchase of which he will improve tremendously and become even richer.
I don’t know about that. Go look at the details of the purchase. It’s a pretty big swing for the guy. He is insanely wealthy but he had to put a decent chunk of his personal wealth on the hook for it.

But for him the risk is probably more personal than financial. He is seen as a visionary and a quirky, brilliant businessman. This is a high profile swing and is probably more about ego than money. It will be interesting to see how it goes

I think all you need to do to make Twitter a better place is require ID and address validation.

White Wayne already translating the exclusionist, far-right aims of the disenfranchisement of the poor and less fortunate with voter ID laws onto the Twitter platform.

Who saw that coming? Man-oh-man. Surprise us just one time for kicks, WW. Shewee.

Are you talking about White Wayne or Amy McGrath? I'm so confused.

* I hope Elon just fires everyone at Twitter, burns the entire infrastructure to the ground, and threatens to sue anyone who ever attempts to use the IP into the almshouse. Twitter is a cesspool that has ruined politics, journalism, discourse, and everything else it touches.

Nothing but SCREAMING HOT TAKES that rewards ever increasing histrionics.

* This is the social media I want.

Who are you trying to convince, your Twitter followers you would kick off at the first instance of disagreement? Matt Jones with his KSR twitter and Matt Jones with his political twitter. Damn, don't disagree with Jones on his political twitter, you'll be banned. You're such a nauseating hypocrite, the hits just keep on coming.

Instead of whining about the purchase like every other super liberal on Twitter Matt is trying to make it seem like Elon made a bad decision.

leave the wealth decisions to the richest man in the world and you use your prime real estate to run shows for men who like dressing up like women

Matt Jones, the nerve of this guy who scammed this website for years. "I don't know a thing about football. Nobody in this state cares about football." How many times did we hear those quotes? Blooming idiot and nothing but a pimp.

Matt if you’re not going to be a regular please limit your takes to insider nuggets you can’t drop to the general public to avoid these losers showing up.

Please and thank you.

I'm sure there will always be some pushback within the ranks at Twitter.

Will be curious to see the storm when someone gets fired for deliberately restricting content.

He will probably kow tow to China.

A good recommendation I saw is eliminating trending news as 3% create 90% of the content.

Love the 3rd bullet point under job description:

“Limit sprained ankles and season ruining injuries to no more than 1 per five years”

Elon Musk has Asbergers (sp?) if I’m not mistaken, so it’s refreshing to know people have more hope for someone with mild autism than they do current tech CEOs

You sometimes forget how many jealous losers with no self-confidence there are until Matt posts and they come out. Remember, only the small can punch up.
